Last weekend gave us Ryan Reynolds guarding the body of Samuel L. Jackson in THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD, so Awfully Good Movies is here to take a bullet for the one and only Hulk Hogan, as he guards two little troublemakers in 1993's MR. NANNY! Yes, even after the failure of SUBURBAN COMMANDO, New Line Cinema still had its heart set on making a movie star out of the Hulkster who could stand alongside the Stallones and Schwarzeneggers. And much like Schwarzenegger did with KINDERGARTEN COP, Hulk thought playing a muscle-bound brute hired to protect some mischievous toddlers from a gang of bad guys would be a one-way ticket to success. But shockingly, having Hulk Hogan wearing a pink tutu on your poster isn't enough to convince families to see your kiddie comedy. I mean, who doesn't want to see two little children trying to electrocute Hulk Hogan to death? It's just like HOME ALONE...except it stars a balding steroid user with questionable opinions on race relations. But come on, kids, the villain is played by Buster Poindexter--ALL YOU KIDS LOVE THE CALYPSO THROWBACK MUSIC OF BUSTER POINDEXTER!!! Wait, don't leave, kids, please...did I mention Hulk Hogan's sidekick is played by Sherman Hemsley? GEORGE FUCKING JEFFERSON?!? And though the Hulkster may have lost a film career from this flick, bad movie fans have gained one hell of an entertaining mess.

3:21 funniest 15 seconds of my life so far, I was laughing for minutes with that gag of Hulk Hogan in The Nanny.
The guy throwing his dog in the river is actually an unsung hero. He threw his dog in the river so it wouldn't have to be in this movie, but he miscalculated his timing by a couple seconds. He just didn't want Rover to have to live with the shame of being in Mr Nanny.
I just watched this for the first time, the dog scene set up the perfect vibes for the rest of that movie.. i havent laughed this hard in almost a year lmao
Hulk Hogan was a great actor and Mr. Nanny is a great and hilarious movie
I was hoping you'd give a shout out to the extra that threw the dog in the river. It's one of the most "iconic" extras scenes in movie history!
Watched this in the theater for the one and only time... found it good thought, as a seven year old.
One of my all-time favourites. Hulk Hogan is the GOAT
Ah David Johansen, he just sits there all night and day singing about what he sees.
Wow. The bad guy does a good joker impression.
Douwe G I wonder if the guy who played Xanatos in this movie had ever considered playing the Joker in another rendition of a Batman movie, whether it's animated or live-action.
I love your impression of Hulk in The Nanny tv show.
@06:32-06:49
😅😂 I am sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry....But that is so f@#$in' funny and this guy is supposed to be the main villain of this movie and we're supposed to be taking him seriously?!😂
When i was growing up this was one of my favorite movies
It's the pacifer 10 years before
That title joke about the family visiting the cinema was why I love these videos
a loved this film a grew up watchin mr nanny and suburban commando as well
I love watching these videos drunk af on the weekends @ 4 in the mourning making something to eat
"The family I never had. And... NEVER WANTED!!!"
You totally need to do Santa With Muscles for Christmas 2020, Jessie! ^^
No Holds Barred was the best Hulk Hogan movie.
3:32 RIP Mean Gene
I really liked it as a kid, and yes, it's because The Hulkster was in it, DUDE!
Because of Hulk Hogan in Mr. Nanny now I don't wanna go to school. He's such a great role model for us kids.
WHY are you not getting the exposure that your videos deserve!?!? These videos are the funniest thing on RUclips that I've found since I stumbled upon Cinemasins! Please keep doing these videos!
Rob McQueen
I certainly shall!
Because they are not reaction videos riding on the RUclips algorithm. Editing things cost too much time and money.
The Freedom Rock reference = brilliant
Let us not forget that the year after this came out, David Johansen co-starred in the ill-advised movie version of the 1960’s cop sitcom, Car 54, Where Are You? And who else was in that movie? Why, Fran Drescher, who starred in... The Nanny!
yea i gotta watch this now haha
I died at the dog tossed in the river
Hulk hogen having a black guy as his manager. Funniest joke of the 90s.
What a funny cute 90's movie!
The villain in this movie is more badass than Kylo-ren.
I fucking hated that kid in this movie. He was in so many titles in the 90's: Rookie of the Year, Sometimes They Come Back, Leprechaun, even a f'n Quantum Leap episode.
TEEN1DOL Yeah, he WAS in LEPRECHAUN! I just remember that when I saw this movie as a kid, I legitimately thought it was the same kid from POLTERGEIST, and I was scared as to how this child from an 80s movie remained the same age in a 90s movie.
TEEN1DOL and don't tell mom the babysitter's dead
It's basically Mary Poppins 🤣
Such a guilty pleasure movie
I wanna know the story behind the dog I mean maybe the master was training his dog to swim I need answers
Dogs are natural swimmers, though.
ilove this film
@09:45-09:58
🤣😂
This movie was something of a guilty pleasure of mine. Rather, I liked it a lot as a kid, and I don't hate it as an adult. And I do have that double feature Mr. Nanny/Suburban Commando that I got because it was the only practical way to get this movie...
Though the scandal stuff did make it harder to watch stuff with him in it.
I got to meet David Johansen and the New York Dolls after a set they did, and I didn’t realize at the time who I was shaking hands with, but maybe it was better that way. I got to meet the musician that day instead of the actor.
"SING"
Evan Adams Nostalgia Critic: "I think this one deserves a scaaary....slooow....motioooon!!!"
Haha I loved this movie!
Hey Hulk Hogan is great actor and Mr nanny was pretty funny 🤣🤣👍👏👏⚡❤️💯
Wasnt this remade into The Pacifier with Vin Diesel?
kerbal666 Yes, yes it was.
13:05 - 13:08 YESSSSSSS!
Now that I think about it, the Rock did what the Hulkster couldn't - transition from being a wrestler to an A-list actor.
John Cena it's also making the tranition too. Thanks by Ferdinand and Bumblebee films.
The video is funny and well made. And I'm interested in the movie 😂
I always loved this movie...hard to say if I loved Suburban Commando more though...(certainly had a better cast)
When me and my boyfriend were watching his review, he told me that Xanatos sounds like a Thanos ripoff.
Wrestling geek here. 3:29 was not Wrestlemania V. Good day to you.
10:05 You should review Ghost Fever for Halloween 2020! I wanna see how bad it is!
Mr. Nanny has a great cast, great soundtrack, and is just an overall fun movie. I played the hell out this VHS as a kid. I was never a fan of Hulk Hogan as a wrestler but I sure loved his movies, Suburban Commando, No Holds Barred, Thunder in Paradise, and Mr. Nanny which is the best of the bunch. “Out of the can and into the man” is a quote from the movie I still use today since I never heat up canned food. Mr. Nanny has a 3.8 on IMDb…I think John Candy needs to have a talk with people about being coldhearted cynics.
Awesum that u used the music from the SNES lethal weapon game
At 11:10 something crazy happens
Be cool see hulk Hogan do more action movies please 👈🙏🙏👍💯. And definitely should join marvel or DC movies
Of course Ed Leslie has a cameo in this...
Needs a remake with Roman Reigns and Carlton from the Fresh Prince
I'd watch it once
Please review The Cat In The Hat, starring Mike Myers!
GameCargo Oh, trust me, I'd love to rip apart that movie. Next Christmas is gonna be that new GRINCH movie with Benedict Cumberbatch, so that'd be an opportune time.
Jesse Shade Wait....Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be playing the Grinch in the 2017 remake of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"?! *Oh.....shit!!!* 😕
Neo-Xgray87
2018, to be exact. I'm actually open to a new GRINCH movie that doesn't have the Grinch motorboat a woman's titties and say words like "bitchin'".
Busy body doesn't mean what you think it means...
6:33 - Is that his real voice or did they decide to re-dub all his scenes by Mark Hamill's Joker?
Honestly, listen to it. It's almost identical.
Oh that’s his real voice. David Johansen’s got a great, distinctively nasty rasp. Ever see Scrooged? That’s him playing the asshole cabbie who’s the Ghost of Christmas Past.
Makes sense
9:49
Niagara Falls, Frankie Angel.
A Christmas classic.
It could be worse if WWE Productions remake this
And staring the miz
The number mason
Was that dog joke a Wes Anderson reference?
Ding ding ding! You got it, ROYAL TENENBAUMS is a personal favorite of mine.
guess halliburton contractors were big fans of this movie.
did Mr T make any films other then Rocky 3?
chrisbomber101 No.
DC Cab
Alex mason what are the god damn numbers masons
carrie 2 isnt a stephen king movie though
It's a sequel to Carrie which is based on King's book of the same name. Hence, Stephen King sequel.
Mitch A. after the one with Sissy Spasek, i wouldnt call any of the other pieces of shit that say carrie on the box as stephen king movies.
True. But they're still sequels to Stephen King films. Any sequel to any King film is still a King sequel even though he had probably nothing to do with them and, yes, they are all garbage. But they're still sequels.
I can answer this: Since IT is gonna be a two-part movie, I thought it'd be a good opportunity for me to do sequels to Stephen King movies, since it's kind of an untouched category. Plus, it helps me avoid doing the bad Stephen King movies which every other bad movie critic has reviewed already.
What about Sleepwalkers?
Belzer deserved it
Walrus mustache and a whack bandana
I'm not pausing to read your scrolling text.
I throw my dog in the lake all the time.
hulk sucked in movies
