It’s good to see these OG’s finally getting their respect… people been talking crazy about them and been very disrespectful for years. Goes to show that people lack logical thinking and character in this game. These pioneers of the Memphis sound need to be recognized more fasho💯
Im from the Big M Town....he preaching facts....i just always wish all of them would hv worked together back then..like Atlanta does now....but Memphis has always had a division when it came to rap music
Too Thick is still my favorite joint from Zirk both Lock em in the Trunk and Too Thick was sampled by 3-6 so many times I wish they woulda came together cuz I don't think 3-6 bit they style it's what Zirk said in the interview Memphis only listened to Memphis and Paul and Juicy were DJs first. So those were the records they was spinning then eventually sampled. Gotta give credit wh where it's due Zirk and Squeaky held the M down then Ball and G then 3-6
@Yo Mama’s A Funky Hoe! that's what I mean if they woulda gave the credit or in a interview and said hey this who we sampled who we listen to blah blah it wouldn't have bn an issue. So by them not doing that I can see why they were pissed
Zirk was primal in his day. A real G. Nuttin But Killaz, Mega Bass Tape 1 and 2, the '93 2 Thick tape and '96 2 Thick Album are among the grittiest, dirtiest, slamming bunches of songs. Talk about the real King Of Memphis.
Crazy how B High ATL randomly attracts these legends for interviews.... the modern listener doesn't appreciate the good stuff that set the tone for the game... they should be big time interviews
I laugh when i hear Zirk tell these stories about ppl sampling him like he wasn't sampling..folks shit on Paul as if Dr Dre didn't sample on his records plenty of producers sample nobody bats a eye Paul n Juice do it they con artists
Dj Paul made lock em in trunk song harder they beats was off Paul just master that shit they was better nobody wasn't bumping nothing but 1song from them ......just give Paul & JUICY his credit
What the hell you know Dj Paul couldn't make a hit without sampling DJ Zirk. The song 2 Thick was sampled so many times, where'd you think Grab Da Gauge came about 🤦🏾♂️ facts no cap
Three 6 had they own different style they just sampled squeeky beats folks didn't care for & capitalize on them beats theses mfs still bitter frm da 90's
Fools in the comments straight capping. Zirk, Squeeky, Spanish Fly, etc are the ones that deserve their flowers fr. They the ones that got they sound STOLEN! Just like the new Doomshop stealing OG Doomshops or SuicideToys stealing Three Six Mafia’s style. It’s the same shit here.
