Northern Flicker | Nature Near You

OVF Naturalist brings us two Northern Flickers -- a male and a female -- and points out small differences in their markings and demeanor. Both birds tried drilling into Kim's hand, but thankfully, were unsuccessful!

I live on the west coast and have the red shafted ones. The females here do not have the red on the back of their heads.
