You should add just a pinch of geera and try roasting the garlic and pepper before adding it to the dish. It really brings out the flavour. Nice recipe Christ.
Wow this is different. I have to try this!! Put a fan in the kitchen while those hot lights are on We want you to remain chillin while making these delicious dishes LOL
Thanks for the all you do.... Absolutely wonderful and Garlic Mash is my youngest son' favorite .... Much continued success and Blessings.. #ashe #shalom sir
Love your recipes. Such originality and great flavors! My only problem is that I have to experiment with them on nights that my wife is out. I LOVE "the heat", but she can't handle it whatsoever. I may have to divorce her so that I can try to cook the way that you do! (just kidding) Thanks for what you do...I look forward to every update.
Hey Chris love seeing one more Indian dish in ur kitchen..u made it in a superb way. We also make it quite often n have it with stuffed chapati. We use Mustard oil instead of olive oil and rest of the ingredients are same. We add raw mustard oil that is without heating it....it taste really gud n tangy. Do try it :)
Yes.. Chuckeeh... Keeping it real homie with the back home terms, love it, keep doing your thing. I will be seeing you one day on the Food Network, tek care family
olive oil gets toxic when heated. Satje is correct. Coconut oil is healthier, but should be used in moderation and coconut oil tolerates heat better than olive oil
Chris ... that’s not allow choka .. it needs to be fried .. i love you and your videos but it has to hit the pan and get brown ..i chunky every thing except potatoe choka lol
Habanero??? Jeez, these bad boys are more than hot. I mean they are so super hot that they taste kind of sour. I like it hot but I definitely hate habaneros. They drown out all the other flavours of ur meal.
Traditionally Coconut Oil is used In Surinam.. Gives it a whole different awesome taste.. And it's the healthiest oil..
Looks really good, in guyana we eat that with fry bake...
Made this or my family , including my Mom who is a seasoned Indian cook from Trinidad. They couldn't believe how great it tasted.
I love this , eaten this with bake a lot as a child

for heat it would be habanero, but any pepper with a little heat would work. or you can leave it out if you're overly concerned.

Hi Chris, do you think it would be ok to quickly cook the onions in the oil, then add to the potatoes? I'm really not a big fan of raw onions! 😩
