I have an update for all of you who was annoyed by the flanger effect. It seems that was the issue with the youtube live stream. There is a clean SoundCloud version available.

I'm assuming the phasing is happening because someone is feeding the same set over the top of itself. This is why it's cancelling itself out, removing the bass etc Pretty annoying.

to everyone who is bitching about his flanger efx.. if you are even familiar with his original music.. listen to his 'out there and back' album.. all of his past music has flange efx all over it. it's obvious he is passionate about it and personally, i've always associated that sound with his music. get over it. pvd is a legend.
This is not the "PvD flanger", listen to the SoundCloud set, and compare, the SoundCloud set does not have it at all, something went wrong with the sound feed to RUclips Live. PvD is indeed a legend!
Back in the day, before laptops and really expensive mixers you would simply play 2 copies of the same record on vinyl to get the same effect! ❤❤

Great set 👌. But for me the sound quality made it hard to listen to. Hopefully this can be fixed on RUclips. SoundCloud audio is a lot better.

There was obviously a problem, but it wasn't his fault or because he doesn't know what he's doing, I can assure you! Been following him for over 2 decades and this is a first, not a normal occurrence.

The sound quality is indeed not the best. SoundCloud does not have the issue. A re-master and replace may be the solution
We are almost one hour in the set and the flanger effect is ongoing all the time. People, don't you hear that? What’s wrong with you? This is absolutely destroying the entire experience. Probably Paul has forgotten to switch this off in his amazing studio setup

what is the deal with the over usage of the effects? More specific the flanger and wah wah effect? Is this a recording error? He NEVER DOES this and the whole set almost every track has effects on it.

@@Albreyjc Tiesto left trance because, in his own words he said, "trance was dying, so I moved on" pretty crazy he said that in an interview. Sad shht really. Trance is alive and still kicking. The younger crowd loves their dubstep but trance is very much alive in the underground.

Yes, interrupting the crowd is a big no no. DJs need to focus on taking them on a journey with all their combination of amazing tracks, blending two to make a new sound also. I love mixing vinyl. It feels magical. It's just different than digital. One exception for me is using CDJs with vinyl for songs I can't get on vinyl. I have no desire to switch to digital. I love the art form too much.
