I like to drop a few blades of grass from shoulder height to measure wind speed. Each driver length the blades drop further away from me, is a club extra. So, blades drop about 1 driver length away, I go from a 7 to a 6 iron; blades drop 2 driver length away, from a 7 to a 5 iron; 3 length away, from a 7 to a 4 iron, etc. I then do the same, grip down, closer to the ball & hit a 3/4 “wedge” shot. Same result every time.
I live in Manitoba and 80% of my rounds are with a wind around 15 mph with gusts to 25mph. I rarely ever get to hit a “stock” iron shot. I find im routinely having to manipulate trajectory

Another good lesson presented in a very easy to follow way. The summary of the steps was a very good teaching practice.
Thanks for watching. One of my favorite shots is a lower controlled shot into the wind - Thomas
One of my favourite duos! Great vid.

You forgot the last tip…have Thomas as your partner in the round! Thanks for the great instruction.
Thanks for watching! I do recommend on course lessons from your local PGA Instructor - Thomas
Do the same thing but this time hitting down wind and how that affects ball flight and distance. Thanks Guys!
Great idea. The ball will fly lower and take longer to stop on the green and of course go further - Thomas
Thanks from South Florida where we always have wind 🌬

That is a very unique way and if your formula works keep it up! - Thomas
Ill try that next time , cheers
Hey Thomas how do I keep from over drawing a knock down shot??
Try and feel like at impact you are holding off the face and exaggerate a shorter finish - Thomas

It's not how it's how many and being creative is an important golf skill - Thomas
Wut about hitting a draw vs fade into the wind????
That's also a great way to control ball flight! - Thomas
