@@ProWalks You make really great videos and I really enjoy them, except when you cut people off. You do that a lot and that kind of ruins it for me. Just because you have a camera doesn't mean you have the right of way and everyone should just get out of your way. Not cool.
Im glad you're enjoying the videos but I don't cut people off. It may look like that but you often don't see that people move as move in. I read people's movements constantly as I walk. If I have to end up waiting, I'll wait. I'm not rude though when walk...or at least, I try pretty hard not to be.
Very nice . . . thanks! It was fun for me to see the Hotel Rohan (8:30) again, since I stayed there over thirty years ago. The residents of Strasbourg are lucky to live in such a lovely, historical place now that it's been at peace for such a long time. I hope it stays that way for them. 👍👍👍
Không có chi. Tôi rất vui vì bạn thích video này. Tôi muốn đến Việt Nam vào một ngày nào đó và quay một số cuộc dạo chơi. Tôi đã đến đó một lần trước đó vào năm 2010.
@@ProWalks summer in Alsace is stunning , if you go back in summer do film it as I’d just love to watch your walks - you do an amazing job ! We spent a while in this area in 2014 , stayed in Strasbourg and in Colmar. Did a day trips to Eguisheim, Riquewihr, Riabauville, and haut koenigsbourg - wonderful places !
Wonderful slow approach to the cathedral that towers over the marketplace. It captures the eye long before you focus in on it or provide captions describing it. The way someone traveling to this city would marvel at it slowly coming into view. What a beautiful video experience and you did a lot of walking that day. Thank you for the tour!
Strasbourg is also an important political center...a European HQ after Brussel.. European Parliament and Europe Council are in the Robertsau district, just outside the city center. I went to school there some thirty years ago.
As one Saracen said to another, 'ah... Allah be praised, 21 F ! Perfect weather for strolling and raiding' Also, seems like a bunch of tourists in a line got really excited and started jumping up and down plus waving.
Do any of these markets have websites? It would be neat to browse the shops and then buy something you see hanging in the kiosk from my living room.......(like the little witchy ornaments at 10:17)

Strasbourg's Christmas markets reflect much of the character of neighboring Germany 19:04 - because Alsace (Elsas) was German for many centuries before the cowardly French got their hands on it. where Vienna had to defend Europe from the Turk. you can change languages, but traditions remain!
The city was first Celtic before being captured by the Franks, (=Germanic tribes who would become the French mixed to Romans, Celtics, Gauls, Normans and Vikings and gave the name of the country, France) in the 5th century and gave the name of this city, Strateburgum. In 842, the king of the West Franks, Charles II and Louis II, King of the East Franks took an oath of alliance there, the serment of Strasbourg, the oldest written document in old French. In 923, the city was acquired by the Holy Roman Empire until 1681 when it became French again and recognized as such by the Holy Roman Empire. In 1870, during the Franco-Prussian war it became part of the newly German Empire until the WWI where it returned to France. This city was first French but had a complicated history between the two countries. People of Alsace see themselves as French even though we can see the influence of Germany. Love from France❤

sorry it's german architecture, the city was founded by germans. alsace (Elsass) the name comes from the Germanic and means to settle down.
Straßburg in "France". For most of the time this was Germany.

Yeah, it definitely feels like a German town when you are there.
its a border region. We have both culture, no need to choose a side.
