      It was Obama who refused to help Iraq from ISIL on time. It's ONLY SOME Americans and world wide elite corrupt people who do this war game, not whole America. Then ISIL blossomed. Even Taliban got killed by ISIL. Trump always was against hitting Iraq. Do not insult the dignity of the soldiers who went to Afghan risking their lives. Not all Afghanis would have agreed Taliban Government is supported by Pakistan. Therefore your view do not represent the view of all Afghanistan. I've seen plenty of Afghanistan interviews who want the troops to stay, who didn't want Taliban form government under their rule. There is always corruption on all sides, and there is good people, innocent people who sacrifice on in all sides. Don't talk as if you know everything. I'm glad that USA decided to pull out from Afghanistan.

    Gen Nicholson is man of honor. From U.S high ranking officer personally I met with general McChrystal back in 2009 in Kabul. He was such a great personality and very strict person. These men are the back bone of the U.S military.

    If the Afghan resistance is getting support from Pakistan then America and its allies must come forward to support the Pakistan's initiative of fencing Durand line and Pak-Afghan border management . But neither America nor Afghan government is doing so except blaming Pakistan baselessly and shamelessly . It clearly shows America just want an unstable Afghanistan to maintain its presence . An unstable Afghanistan is in favour of American and Indian interest because America want to contain china and India wants to continue sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan via Afghanistan and Kulbushan Yadev is undeniable proof of it . But Pakistan want a Free , Sovereign and Peaceful Afghanistan .

    Late and great patriot John McCain.. I haven't always agreed with his views and politics since we were on the opposite side of the political spectrum, but I never doubt for a second that he ever putt his interest before the interest of his beloved country. And that's something any honest and moral person should acknowledge and appreciate. The way that Trump treated him is disgusting.. His statement that he likes soldiers that are winners and not those who were captured by the enemy made me sick in the stomach. John McCain spent 5 years in the worst of the worst that the Vietnam POW camps had to offer including the infamous Hanoi Hilton. And listen to this.. He repeatedly rejected the possibility of release that was offered to him on the grounds of him being a son of a distinguished admiral John McCain Sr. Now imagine the following.. You're being severely tortured, you have various disease (disentry), serious injury (he was badly beaten by the peasants when they caught him after he jumped from his jet) and you are given a chance to end all this suffering but you refuse cause you can't look your POW friends in the eyes and say "Bye guys, I'm out cause my dad is an admiral"..If that isn't character than I don't know what is..
    Now mirror that with the Trump who dared to utter those words about McCain who's dad pulled some serious strings to get his little Donnie out of the draft for that same war.. And that other person is our President who's supported by millions of Republicans that would probably break the White house gates if Obama said something similar.. Disgusting...

    The forever war.
    Taliban say the conflict is continuing as their are American and foreign troops in Afghanistan, General Nicholson seems to ignore that and says it's because Taliban can exist and get help from outside Afghanistan and seems to imply he will only leave when the Taliban are completely annihilated in Afghanistan. This makes no sense in terms of ending anything. The Americans will continue to stay in Afghanistan even though their presence keeps generating more Taliban within and outside of the fighting area.

    • @rostamsunny8802
      @rostamsunny8802 5 лет назад

      The Americans can stay there for another 50 years and they still won't win.
      The Afghan have a proud history of resisting foreign invaders. They will never relent. In the end the Americans will HAVE to negotiate with the Taliban and look for a face saving exit.

    • @rostamsunny8802
      @rostamsunny8802 5 лет назад +1

      Also the constant blame on Pakistan doesn't help either. Pakistan, lost 70,000 people fighting America's war in Afghanistan. Before 9/11 there were no bomb blasts inside Pakistan. By 2011, Pakistan was suffering from 300 bomb blasts a year. Plus the drone strikes. Plus all the other BS America put Pakistan through.
      Now that they know they cannot win they are shifting the blame on Pakistan.

    630+ civilian casualties.
    What's the source on that? I believe you, but I think it's imperative I know
    where you got that from if I’m going to mention this story to
    I appreciate you framing this around civilian casualties. There are at least five power bases at work, funding and enabling those willing to take on their goals. Al Qaeda, Isis, the
    United States, the Afghan national government, and the Pakistani National
    government. The infrastructural projects which Afghanistan will be paying off
    for the next few millennia, all require construction personnel and advisors,
    who need security. Enter private security contractors, with their spotless past.
    This is not an exhaustive or well researched list, just what came to me in a
    stoney haze.

    More Soldiers Dying for a War that was lost a LONG TIME AGO. I have Served with some that have been on 2 Tours of Afganistan & they all agree it's a "Waste of time" & "The War was lost years ago". Staying behind isn't doing anything for the "Security and Stabilisation of Afganistan". It's ending up worse now than it was before 2001. Take a look at what America did in Lybia. The idea was great. The plan was poorly executed and created a even bigger problem than before.

    Pakistan has been a problem for Afghanistan for many years. America needs to cut off all monies to it! This "general" does not impress me.

    America rushed into a decision to invade Afghanistan in the first place. Lack of proper assessment and analysis, arrogant powerfull America with the most powerfull conventional army in the world thought these goat herders poor Talibans would be a piece of pie. I once read in a book the title i don't recall, where the chief of Pakistan's ISI travels to meet Muhammad Omar in Kandahar on the verge of the invasion and tells him that he cannot win in a conventional warfare with America, that he needs to change war tactics and that America cannot stay there forever. They did changed tactics and the war is still going on!

    Do we understand that part of world? Soviet Union learned it the hard way after 10 long years. For us, the learning curve will take 20 years.
