I'm so proud of Jeongyeon. Her saying she's in a space that is neither comfortable nor uncomfortable but OK is a big step on her health journey. I relate to Jeongyeon alot in many different ways. She is one of my main role models in life. Not only does she genuinely care and love her members, but she also takes time to care for herself, and i really respect her for that. Seeing Jeongyeon laugh and just be herself means everything to me, and i can't express in words how much i look up to her. She reminds me of myself and again i truly cannot express how much she motivates me to do better and how much hope she brings to my life.

정연씨, 최근 들어서 안색이나 건강이 부쩍 많이 좋아진 듯 해서 너무 다행이네요.
그동안 치료에 전념하느라 참 많은 에너지를 써오셨을거라 생각합니다.
너무 당연하지만, 사실 우리 모두가 불완전하잖아요.
지구상 아무리 뛰어난 사람도 조금씩은 완벽하지 못 하고, 조금씩 추한 면도 있을 수 있는게 인간이니까요.
자존감을 높이는 방법은 거기서부터 시작한다고 봅니다.
자기 자신에 대한 자신감은 매우 중요하지만 필요 이상의 환상으로 채웠다가
그게 충족이 안 되면 더욱 깊게 좌절하게 되니까,
지금 당장 자신의 한계를 냉정히 직시하고 인정하는게 가장 우선이라고 봐요.
객관적으로 봤을 때 정연씨는 원래 타고난 목소리도 매우 빼어나고
연예인으로서 신체적 조건도 정말로 타고났습니다.
이건 아마 트와이스에 관심이 별로 없거나 심지어 안 좋아하는 사람들도 다들 인정할거라 봐요.
다만 잠시 정연씨는 잠시 조금 길을 돌아갔던거죠,
제가 지켜봤던 정연씨는 남한테 일적으로 엄격한 것 이상으로 본인한테는 더욱 엄격한 사람같아 보였어요.
우리 모두 100% 누구나가 실수도 잘못도 합니다,
정연씨가 그럴 때는 조금은 본인을 용서해주세요.
자꾸 지난 날의 후회스러운 자신을 책망하고 거기에 갇히기 시작하면
눈사람 커지듯이 그런 자책감, 후회가 더 커져서 두려움으로까지 커지니까요.
옛날 20세기에 다비드 오이스트라흐라는 최정상급 바이올린 연주자가 있었어요.
그 사람이 젊은 시절 바르샤바 바이올린 콩쿨이라는 유명 콩쿨에 나갔는데,
무대에 오르는 시간이 갈수록 극한의 긴장감 때문에
심각한 호흡곤란과 함께 거의 졸도, 기절 직전까지 갔다는 당시 목격담이 있었다고 해요.
어떻게 어렵게 연주를 마치고 2등까지 하긴 했지만요.
그리고 그 연주자는 훗날 무대에서의 연주하는 모습이 어떻게 되었냐면
정말 세계 최고의 바이올린 연주를 들려주지만,
관객들과 상호작용한다, 관객들과 함께 음악을 나누고 호흡한다는 느낌은
정말 거의, 어쩌면 전혀? 주질 못 했어요.
그냥 본인의 연주에만 몰입을 했죠.
실제로 그 사람이 얘기하길, 무대 공포증을 극복하기 위해선
"무조건 연습을 많이 해라, 정말로 엄청나게 많은 연습을 해라.
그리고 당신이 하는 음악 그 자체에만 몰입하라" 였어요.
그래서 저는 아이돌 가수라는 직업이 참 어렵고 힘든 직업이라고 생각합니다.
인기가 오르고 유명해질수록 사생활도 매우 조심스러워지고
말 한마디 한마디도 정말로 조심해서 단어 하나도 신경써서 골라 말해야 하고,
무대 위에선 자신이 부르는 노래, 자신의 표정, 안무, 다른 멤버들과의 상호 작용, 메이크업 상태 등등
신경 쓸 게 정말로 너무나 많은 직업이라고 생각하거든요.
사실 고요한 강 위에 떠있는 새들처럼 얼핏 보면 너무 우아하게 떠있지만
몰속에서 보면 안 가라앉으려고 끝없이 발길질을 하는 모습같은거죠.
정연씨도 다른 멤버들도 그런 힘든 여정을 잘 이겨내고 온 거였죠.
그러니 앞으로는 무대에서 실수하고 완벽과는 먼 모습을 순간순간 보여줘도
너무 자책하고 스트레스받지 마세요.
항상 평소의 연습과 노력을 통해서 조금씩 나아지는 모습을 보여주는 것은 프로로서 너무나도 중요하지만
그럼에도 우리는 죽는 날까지 절대 완벽해질수는 없으니까요.
아예, 애당초 그걸 딱 인정하고 시작을 해보세요.
실수하고 부족했어도 그건 그냥 얼른 잊고 넘기고, 앞으로 남아있는 음악과 퍼포먼스만 신경을 쓰세요.
실수했던 부분은 숙소에 돌아와서 다시 체크하고 다음에는 그 부분을 안 틀려야겠다하면서 다짐하면 되니까요.
100점을 받으려고 하진 마세요,
70점이면 충분하다. 다만 나머지 30점은 그 날의 내 컨디션과 하늘의 운에 맡기겠다..
그리고 그 운을 높이는 것은 평소 나의 노력에 달려있다, 하늘은 스스로 돕는 자를 돕는 것이니까..
하는 마음을 가지시면 앞으로 더욱 좋아지지 않을까 싶어서 길게 글 써봅니다.
