Angel Reese is an awsome rookie and had a top notch game. Represent 2024 rookies, her team, and the league. Why does she have to represent her race? Can't when just leave the whole race thing out of it. The CC and AR rivalry is great for the WNBA. To be real, the race thing is implied like with Magic and Bird, but is overplayed by being constantly talked about.

Basketball is a team sport. Chennedy Carter gets a lot of press for a emotional and bad play months ago but where is the love for her consistently dynamic and excellent play? In 29 minutes she scored 23 points. Aaliyah Boston had a solid game and is great at catching her PG's passes. She is a star on the Fever, not just Caitlin. Cardoso had 16 points and is a force and presence down low and Mitchell is quick and is a bucket.
If you want to get into Reese and Clark, yes Reese had the numbers. What she did well was rebound but her points were due to efficient shooting plus getting to the line to hit 9/11 free throws. Her ability to get to the line and knock down her FTs, plus her hustle and hitting timely shots made her the player of the game.
As for Caitlin Clark, she had mostly good shot selection, a good amount of rebounds, 4 steals, about 5 TOs and 13 assists. But it's not just the number of assists that I think are impressive. It's the court vision and the degree of difficulty on those assists that I find to be most impressive. There is this feeling that she's playing team ball and is interested in finding the right player to make the right shot or play. Are some passes a bit too hot or high? Yeah, a few. But most of them are right on target. We know about the 3 pointers and they're smooth and some deep but her playmaking, to me, elevates her to special. Add in that she rebounds well for a guard, gets steals, gets blocks and she does a lot out there on the court.
So for me, the consistency of Reese is a huge factor along with the overall hustle and grit. Reese should get better at post moves and put backs. Maybe she'll develop a short jumper, that's certainly possible by season's end. But I have to go with Clark as ROTY leading candidate due to the involvement of her teammates at the expense of her own scoring, degree of difficulty of her dimes, ability to raise her teammates offensive levels. I also feel as the year goes along, Clark will be expanding how she scores as well as taking big 4Q shots and making a bunch of clutch 4Q plays. But her coach has to give her the green light to do so. I feel like the Sky has a way better coach who utilizes the talents on the team way better.
CC should have taken that last shot instead of passing it.
Disrespectful that ya’ll cut the clip b4 actually coming back to Angels postgame. These small thoughtless acts create issues that are unnecessary when these teams and players give so much to us fans who love the competitive fire.

7:50 - This coming from a male’s opinion, young lady you are correct. It’s clearly apparent the women are getting the short end of the stick. And the amount of evidence is mounting. Besides the incredible entertainment and talent factor at all levels (High School, College, and Pro), Team USA is overlooked as the most dominant team in all of organized sports. The U.S. women’s Olympic team runs through the world competition every 4-years with ease dating back to the 1990’s. What’s amazing is the field hasn’t come close to narrowing the gap.
IMO, the women have checked off a lot of boxes to claim their stake in entertainment dollars. Most of them play college ball for 4+ years and earn their degrees. And the challenging roadmap doesn’t end there. Many of these women go deep into March Madness and literally turn around the next month and suit-up in the professional ranks. And in each step of the way they are providing basketball fanatics like myself with superior entertainment.
