I bought this little gem on VHS in Canada when it first came out. It’s so wonderful to see it again. It’s so low-key and natural, and the music still sounds magnificent.
@@MuldfeldIt blows my mind that when you added your original comment, the documentary was ‘only’ about sixteen years old - now here we are, fourteen more years later, still enjoying and discussing this great band. By the way - I still have the tape, but alas no more VCR. 😊
@@grinsko6741 Oh, my God. It's crazy the hundreds of dollars I spent on high quality VHS tapes ($11 to $16 per tape) and they're not even close to DVD quality. What a waste of money and time worrying about recording. I could've been hanging out with girls, instead.
@@Muldfeld I hear ya! lol. And we thought those tapes were absolutely ‘state of the art’ at the time! I wonder if one day we’ll look back on 4K Video and think, “Man, that looks really fuzzy…”

Thanks for putting this up. I've never seen this and we never got this in North America.
Funnily enough, we did get it in Canada. I bought the NTSC-format VHS tape when it came out.
@@grinsko6741 I stand corrected 14 years later! This remains an incredible song.

someone else noticed that in the music video for Woman In The Wall, Dave's shirt is the same as the Housemartins' Build clip😅
my ole all time favorite!
Woman in the Wall is a great song. The Beautiful South could try there hand at any kind of music and they always sounded great.
johnmcluskey highly underrated TBS tune
Dave and Paul are the best
Can someone tell me, please, what are the titles of the songs included in the video? They are awesome...
"Woman in the Wall" from the album Welcome to the Beautiful South (1989).
Song 1: You Play Glockenspiel
Song 2: Lips
Song 3: Woman In The Wall
"We never got this in North America"? Last I checked, Canada is part of North America and I have it.
