Man Wasteland 3 is a beast of a game. It's just such an enjoyable rpg, the writing, the build variety, choices and consequences, the humor, the setting. Thank you inXile for creating one of the best games I have ever played. Can't wait for the second expansion.
bro, try to play wasteland 2. It's way more better than wasteland 3. It has better mechanics, better gameplay, better plots, better settings. Wasteland 3 gameplay is very simple compared to w2
Amazing rendition, though I based on the style of song that *did* make the cut I can see why it wasn't used. Feels too...upbeat might be the best word I can think of. Maybe uncorrupted is better. The version of "Down In The Valley" that made it in game has a certain warped feel to it. But please release more of these if you can!
This version honestly grows on you. The one they released is great and definitely better for a showcase trailer, but this version is great for a retrospective trailer/secondary trailer.
Found this game on a whim and have since put like 200 hours in! Cannot get enough, amazing writing, combat, world building… 8/10 on release, 10/10 after the DLC and QOL updates.
It's Fallouts nearly forgotten older step sibling. Hope you played Wasteland 2, while not as pretty as Wasteland 3 it had more choices & consequences then WL3.

Wasteland 3 has such great sound and music that fits the theme so well. It's like night and day compared to inXile's other games (though Bard's Tale has it's own kind of thing going on)
Start up that new game fam. Dlc is out. And by the time you get halfway through the game the 2nd and final dlc will be out (made for late game anyways). 3 weeks till final dlc!
Haven't gotten to WL3 yet. Backlog is insane. I've been making an effort to get away from the no-end-in-sight kind of games like No Man's Sky (great game, btw, just sayin) and Elite Dangerous and getting back to the narrative driven, single player experiences which made this hobby / passion / commitment (circle one) so worth it for so long. I actually sat down with Thief 2 yesterday after some work patching / modernizing, and I'm looking forward to making it past the second mission for the first time in 20 years. Anyway, wanted to say I adore Wasteland 2. Put in a ton of hours into it and the DC, and I enjoyed the hell out of it both. I understand it's over and done with from a development and marketing standpoint, but it's always nice to see that game get a mention or nod. Lot of weight on its shoulders when it came out, bringing back the cRPG in respectable form. Nice job. I've had big respect for M. Fargo ever since I played Fallout in '97 at 13 and later went on to find out just how much Interplay mattered to so many. Good luck going forward. Also, *cough* Arcanum *cough* more of that stuff please.
This feels like a beta where vic played a MUCH bigger role, possibly as a third route instead of angela with cordite being a more "peaceful" liberator/slaver that was much less evil. Hell it even makes kwon as a bigger character than he really is.
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that the last patch (at least on base PS4) really messed up targeting of any kind, in combat. Throwing projectiles, trying to hack robots, and even healing squad mates has been frustratingly buggy and most of the time, completely unresponsive, since the most recent patch. Is there a fix being worked on? I don’t know wether anyone has brought this up, or not.
I'd play 2 first. Wasteland 3 makes sense played straight, sure, but the stakes and some of the dangers makes more sense if you're familiar with the world. There are also a bunch of reoccurring characters that are much more impactful of you know who they are. So if you're very much a story guy, go with 2 first I say. But if you're kinda just getting your feet wet with crpgs, looking for something a bit more modern maybe, starting 3 is fine. 3 _tells_ you the lore well enough that you don't necessarily _need_ to bring your own prior experiences to it. But it does improve it if you do.
You can play 3 alone. There are some callbacks and some minor story stuff that's better with more knowledge. But the Main Story and the vast majority of the game are standalone. If you are still interested in Wasteland 2. Just buy it at a sale. It should cost you maybe $8 US. It a good game. Not as polished as Nr. 3 but still very fun.
I recon there's... hmmm... "some" risk that if you'll start with 3, you won't like 2 as much as you could otherwise. It is older after all, and I don't even mean it in a literal sense - W2 was a throwback to "ye olden days" so it feels older mechanically. Mind you that I wouldn't necessary call it harder - just less... modern and thus less streamlined. For example, skill checks are done differently - you can try to pass them even if you're under-leveled in W2, while in W3 you simply have to meet minimum requirements. Followers are not as fleshed out as they are in W3. There are far less voiced lines and no vehicle or elements of base building/upgrades. And of course no close-up animated dialogues so all in all when compared to its successor, it simply looks less polished and straight up like a budget title. Not to mention that it kinda feels that in W2 different settlements were written by different screenwriters. I sure loved it though - altogether got something like 400h in both versions (vanilla and Director's Cut) plus all the achievements. I'm still far away from reaching same results in W3.
Just go with 3, because of the technical side of things it is better to start with latest one and enjoy it as a "solo" experience and if you are invested in the how story goes, you could always go and try older titles. But when you start with older titles, pretty sure more than %80 of the time people will just get bored and even skip the latest one.
If you can play Wasteland remastered. Then go onto the directors edition of wasteland 2. Personally i played 3 first, near finishing, was waiting for a dlc sale, so it's still on the list of yet to finish. Ended up going back to wasteland remastered got about half way through. Then ended up finishing 2. The story will hit so much harder with the original and then 2. But 3 is a stand alone in a regard anyway. Think of it as the wasteland series expanding locations as to not spoil anything.
You guys wrote a whole album or 2 just for the game, the game is allready great and fun but the music makes the experience twice as great and way more memorable
If there's unused tracks you're telling me there very well might be a Battle cry of freedom or star spangled banner for the liberty fight because that's where those belong. My country tis ofthee also works but it was already used though as the Monstermash in Cheynne mountian demonstates the proper reuse of a song can be absolutely amazing. Anywaysy the more important take away is YOU'RE TELLING ME THERE'S A CHANCE FOR MORE SONGS!?!

I think this song would also be nice as one of the Kodiac Radio Tracks.
Прекрасная игра, прекрасные разработчики. Спасибо вам большое за такую чудесную игру! Очень давно меня игры так не затягивали, вы скрасили мои дни)))

Question to ppl who played both Wasteland 2 & 3: would you guys recommend playing 2 first or it's ok to go straight to 3?
