You’re so real 😭 I love how you don’t try to make it seem like the process is smooth and easy. I love how we get to see your trials and errors and how you chose the colors. I love your artwork so much plus ur videos 💗
Omg I feel you on both accounts tbh! Part of why this challenge was so hard is because of artblock 😂 also for the sketchbook Dw take your time with it! Most of mine take well over a year 💀
@@thelastcoffeebean Yeah, the hardest part of drawing for me is finding the inspiration and motivation to draw like I'll be ready to draw then I go on Pinterest to find references and then scroll for two hours lol BTW Love your art!❤️
السلام عليكم نور! Assalam wa alaikum nour! I just want to say u rly inspire me as a Muslim artist and I rly love ur vids so tysm for making them ur super talented
I started out with the arteza gouache and i struggled with it so much I was about ready to give up on the medium. I think it's a real bummer that it's not so easy to find good affordable paints but imo even just buying a set of five or four of good quality, expensive paints, is more worth it than buying a huge colour variety of cheap paints. It's harder to mix with the arteza ones I feel like, so it feels like you need more. I'm still looking for a good and affordable gouache set, but I have schmincke now and it's such a difference
Thank you so much for this, I’m gonna follow your advice and maybe buy some Holbein gouache! I’ll just get a few colours in the big tubes and experiment with them after exams 🙌🏼
That is one beautiful cup of coffee! And I love the radishes. Also, edit: I use gouache a lot and the paper matters. Wrong paper and it's all gooey smear and no fun.
Thank youuu!! 🧡✨ also I’ve used gouache (Miya Himi brand) several times on moleskine sketchbook paper and it works alright so Idk where it went wrong this time lol
meh might be cheating, but almost everyone chooses another colour if they dont like it lol 🤣 you did a great job with the colours, the poncho looks great good luck with your exams!!
Don’t worry about cheating lol, many artists cut scenes till they get colors they like lmao Your art is so pretty btw! I’m new to your channel and I can’t wait to see you grow even further :)
If I were to do a 3 color challenge, I would have kept the colors organized in their little bins as you had originally. Roll a dice to pick the nth color from the bin. Then you'd have 6 colors to choose from, and most likely there's color harmony you can pick from there. Roll dice again to pick 3, or self select what you'd prefer! That way, you'd also wouldn't pick 3 yellows in a row 🙃 Second page def came out better. I love your cartoony style and encourage it more! best of luck with finishing classes.
I love you and I love your drawings and your art. I support drawing like you. I have a sketchbook, but it is not as good as your dive. I love you. 🫶💗💗💗💗😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🔥
I remember feeling this way when I first started watching Matthew Sorgie. I had a wave of happiness and enthusiasm to start with art. His style was what I aspired to adapt even partly. He stopped making videos a long time back and I never found that zeal again. Last night I found your video and today I came up and completed a concept drawing. I'll start working on it tomorrow. I can't thank you enough. I relate to you so much. I'll be binge-watching your videos. 💞🌻
Great colourscheme. Glad you finished happy. Your comfort zone isn't a bad place to be. Sometimes it's good to go out of it, sometimes it's nice to just be there. 😊
Omg I binged the whole show in one night 😂 it was AMAZINGGGGG I’ll have to rewatch at a more reasonable pace and do some fanart when I’m free from exams lol 😳

I love your videos it takes me like a week to go through your video because they are long I like them though I draw while the video plays Good luck on your exams it’s time for my exams too 😢
sometimes what we need is to start over but i love the fact that u tried and pushed though the struggle and its part of the processes and getting better in some medias , only though the "bad" art and the struggles while drawings we learn. i love the second spread , your art is lovely! and love the radish drawings!
That makes me so sad because I have been contemplating getting Arteza gouache to try out. Maybe it’s the paper? I liked the design, sorry it didn’t work out. But the second go around came out really well. Would love to see you use the gouache on different paper.
I think mixing the secondary colors is what made the paint turn out so muddy but the huge set of arteza a gouache just aren’t the best, I think the 12 color set is better quality tho
I had the smaller arteza set and they were alright depending on what I was doing but I recently invested in a different set and it makes a world of difference. I'd honestly recommend getting a small set, even five colours, of a more expensive brand because salt it does make a difference. With the better paints I also feel like mixing is much easier so you don't need as big a set. The arteza paints aren't all bad and I like the brand for their affordable products but going from arteza to a different brand I could feel a huge difference in quality and it makes a difference when painting
I was SO sad as well I had huge hopes for these 😔 I think as @mael said it’s the fact that I used secondary colours and the paints are super cheap so they ended up muddy! I’ve used these before and never experienced this degree of chalkiness though but overall I wouldn’t reccomend the 60 set 👀 maybe the 12 set is alright! I reccomend Miya Himi gouache over this set for sure!
@@thelastcoffeebean I have the arteza set and I really like it! I just wanted to give a tip because I notice that chalky thing happens to me when I don’t use the right steps. 1. Keep the consistency thin especially with this gouache if you layer thick layers of paint it’s not gonna work as well. I would use more water than usual at the beginning of your painting when using the set.Get a little thicker with every layer for better results 2. Let it dry down a bit before you go in for the final layers. This set definitely was a learning curve but it works so much better for me now that I’ve experimented. (Also it might be your paper thick watercolor paper is the best for me it can handle the layers) 3. Using the primary colors from the set will not make the color so muddy. Also notice the opacity on the side of the tube lower ratings of opacity you shouldnt mix especially for skin tones or even the colors you use for the final layer. Since you already have the set I hope you can find a better process to make the gouache work for you!! Love your content!!
I love how much fun you have in your sketchbook! I have always been an artist who uses sketchbooks for preliminary sketches for big pieces, and I feel like I'm missing out by not just playing more in my sketchbook. Great job, and you should be proud of yourself for sticking with it!
I appreciate that you also showed yourself attempting something that ended up not working out. I'm new at drawing and painting and I love seeing the real creative process at work!. Also, your "mistake" was better than my best piece on a good day so don't be too hard on yourself.
the fish ended up looking really good in the end🙂 and the joys of arting when you havent slept, it either turns out horribly, or you end up creating the best thing you ever have😝
You probably already know this, but in case someone reading the comments didn't and wants my two cents: I recommend going with one website with well-developed category pages, rather than two websites with few category pages each. Although having multiple websites can be more aesthetically pleasing and streamlined for the customer int he senste that you can split up your inventory across different sites, but imo its more of a hassle and less helpfull for your business. The more subcategories you have on your website, that have complete and original product descriptions, the more organic clicks you will be getting. These pages could be like "how do I produce my prints", "how do I package orders" etc. the more your customers click around on the website the more your website will climb the evergrowing ladder of google search results. If you get enough organic clicks, you'll get your website on the first page of google results when they search for something you sell. This is where keywords come in: Say you're an abstract acrylic painter based in the us, but you ship worldwide, you can make a subpage on your "how do i ship my items" page, about shipping worldwide, and you want the URL to say the word "worldwide". when the potential customer searches for "abstract art worldwide shipping", you want googles algorithm to be able to find your website and show it to them. For example; there are two bakeries in my city. both have branches in a nearby city. when i google " bakery city name", i get all four bakeries as search results. the difference between the two bakeries is how their websites are divided. Bakery A has one website which has sub category pages for each branch, whereas Bakery B has a website for each branch. Bakery As website gets the organic web traffic of customers from both cities, whereas Bakery B has split up their customers clicks. This means that bakery B has two websites that according to google analytics is performing badly, whereas Bakery A is not actually getting more clicks, it's just collecting them all on one website. this means google sees one website that's doing good, instead of two struggling websites. I used to work as a phoner for a company that ghostwrote these category pages, so I learned the basics of why they work the way they do, and I thought I'd share. Hopefully this demystifies the process a little for you as it did for me. it doesn't have to be complicated if you don't want it to be
