As a traditional artist trying to get back into digital art, I appreciate seeing the different brushes and hearing about how you shift into drawing digitally. I think digital artists have to think completely different to how traditional media works. I love how you sectioned out the different parts of the piece, that makes it so much easier to render. Would love to see more digital art, but also I understand how taxing it can be!

Thank you so much I’m so glad to hear! It really is such a complex medium 😳 it took years to realize that I have to work differently compared to traditional, there’s like a whole new set of rules and techniques involved 😮‍💨

This entire video is an absolute mood, as a traditional artist myself, attempting digital art for the first time is mind blowing! It is frustrating, but the fact that you can mess around with layers, fix and erase stuff easier is everything! I definetly have to practice doing sketching and linearting digitallly more, cause I suck at those, but I absolutley love colouring digitally, great stuff!
Also, you can do both traditional and digital, and you could always mix the two processes, for example do sketching traditionally and doing rest digitally or sketch and lineart digitally and colour traditionally!

LOL i feel youu! And YES i used to ONLY a sketch traditionally and then just take a picture 💯 I’m glad I’m learning how to sketch digitally though and stay loose 😂

I LOVE IT!!!!! I am 100% onboard for digital videos, I think it would be cool to do a mix of filming your hand drawing + the screen recording like depening on what you're talking about and what detail you want to highlight. Whatever you decide will be great I'm sure! I don't I've ever commented on one of your videos before but I just wanna say how heart warming it is to see a fellow muslim enjoying art and succeeding with it

    Ok so couple of things!:
    A. I personally prefer the video style where it's like, an internal screen recording(? Does that make sense?) because it often helps me learn new techniques/workflows
    B. I would love to see more digital art, as long as you want to do it! If voice-over and screen recording is too much maybe we can have a speedpaint only every so often? I'm not sure what you prefer and don't want to burden you! That said I like to hear you talk!
    C. I love the painting! Couldn't fathom you calling it simple, it's so detailed! I can't even imagine! ❤️❤️❤️

Usually, I prefer watching traditional art videos. However, this one was fun to watch, and I liked listening to your thoughts.
It would make me super happy if you could maybe do videos of some simpler digital art works, and then talk us through one skill per video (for example, clean linework, colouring, blending, shading). It seems you've got those things kinda worked out, and I still struggle with all of them. Like, the tools, the order of the steps, how to manage my layers, all those practical things.
I seem to find two types of Clip Studio Paint videos: either quick overviews of everything, or a super detailed niche video on a topic for expert digital artists.
I need something in between, where someone talks me through the practicalities of actually making something.
You're someone I can actually listen to for a long time without getting bored, and you often talk about the real fiddly things that can crop up, that other people usually gloss over.
So yeah. Would love it, but no problem if that's not your thing. 😅

I don't mind digital art, and i dabble in it, but i don't much like doing finished pieces in it. It feels like it takes me a lot longer, possibly because I'm just not used to it, but mostly because i just don't enjoy the process as much. there's something very tactile about traditional art that just lets me hyper focus on a piece for 9 hours without feeling it. The undo button is also my bane of my existence as a perfectionist. don't give me that option, i'll never finish anything.
That being said, digital absolutely has it's place. it's great for when you want to get that exact shade of colour you saw in your head, or add some dope glowy effects. I also find it much more useful when trying to do complex backgrounds because you can tinker around endlessly to get things looking right.
    Also, animation. 'nuff said.

I switched from using Krita and Photoshop to Clip a few months ago, and honestly I feel like it's the first time digital art truly sparked joy for me! There's so many brushes and blenders that feel so close to traditional art, like the built in gouache blender is OP especially for skin textures. Also the speed of the footage was totally fine in my opinion, when a screen recording goes too fast it makes me a little bit dizzy tbh. Love the piece and loved watching you make it!
