My lecturer in theoretical physics did two paragraphs on this theorem. Not even half a page. I feel like youtube is helping me with my degree more than the professors..

This is one of the most important theorems in the history of Theoretical Physics. It's not too difficult to see or prove Mathematically speaking. But the deep implications for field theories are impossible to overstate.

Wow this is actually amazing. I've been wanting to learn lagragian mechanics but couldn't find it anywhere and I ran into this channel! Amazing! Instant subscribe!

you have no idea of how much you're helping me with those videos! thank you very, very, much!!!! I've to make a presentation about symmetry and conservation laws, and my teacher didn't and won't teach any class about that topic, you're basically being my teacher on this!!

I can’t believe I find this gem! You are really good at explaining, sir.

Thank you, this was incredibly helpful. Although you dont directly speak of it, you explain the difference between symmetric variation and dynamic variation at around 15:00 with clear diagrams which I deeply appreciate.

Are the continuous symmetries required to form a Lie group or a Lie algebra? And does this theorem also hold for other more general structures.

Just use a counter example where symmetry is broken can save you a million words. Keep saying there is symmetry in trivial examples does not help at all.

Not to be picky but the name is pronounced “Nooters” theorem. Another channel did the research from the original language and that’s how it’s pronounced.

May I ask what tools are using to draw and present your lecture?

Recording Software: OBS Studio (free). I like this software quite a bit.
Drawing Tablet: Wacom Intuos. It is an older model, not sure if they still make it, cost about $60. You don't need a very fancy tablet. Also I recommend trying to get one where the pen doesn't need to be charged.
Microphone: In this video I was just using the microphone on the apple earbuds but it took a lot of sound editing to get rid of the noise, which was annoying. For future videos I bought a "Mpow 071 USB Headset" for about $25. I suggest getting a decent microphone headset, improves the videos a lot.
Editing Software: VSDC Free Video Editor (free). Doesn't really matter which editing software you use.
      Drawing Software: MS Paint. (free)

Symmetry is dual to conservation -- the duality of Noether's theorem.
Duality is being conserved -- the 5th law of thermodynamics! Energy is duality, duality is energy.
Potential energy is dual to kinetic energy.
Gravitation is equivalent or dual to acceleration -- Einstein's happiest thought, the principle of equivalence.
