We absolutely loved this video! ❤ You are so wonderful when you are loving what you are doing! Never pressure yourself to go on adventures you think “we” want to see. Go on adventures that you want to go on. Camp or day hike, it makes no difference! The Hazey we love is the one who is being true to himself and doing what is right for you. Thank you so much for sharing with us! Fabulous!
I'm a PE Teacher from Durham - The line markings you found were for rounders! You were right first time! Cracked me up when you said it was aliens. Lovely video mate, good watch for when the brainbox is fogged up - Appreciate you, thanks!
Congratulations to Fern. Lovely day hike, thank you for taking us along. I'm female, but can't get near the edge of a cliff; there's a part of my brain that "knows" I can fly, and I know damned well I can't. I wonder if it's something in our DNA, something we "remember". Will be happy to see Joey in an upcoming video; would love to see you colab with Simon, a Bloke in the Woods. Take care, be well
We have hiked from Seaford to Eastbourne and vice versa. The route you're taking in our opinion is more challenging. Have you tried from Eastbourne to Seaford? The other way is steep decline but gradual incline, but the way your going is steep incline gradual decline. But one of the best routes either way you do it. AND defo stay away from the edge and leave no trace!
Congratulations to Fern on her New book,, fingers crossed for many more!! Best of of luck to yourself and your Missus if you get your baby dog!! Everything's on the up bruv,, Wishing you the best of life, for life, you've earned it mate. Xx
Had to pause this… for a second I thought it might be us sat beside the path at 4.28. Sat exactly there, just above the gate for about half an hour one Sunday a month or so ago!
That secret cricket pitch was supposed to be for american baseball I could tell. They just did the third base line wrong cuz it's supposed to go to home plate from 45* left to first base which is right. Then second base is behind the pitchers mound. Dirt is not necessarily needed but it helps when you get professional jerseys❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this walk - try to do it at least once every year. Usually start in Eastbourne, go out through Friston Forest, lunch on the beach at Cuckmere Haven and then back along the Seven Sisters. Good on you for the shout-out re men's mental health in particular.
Great to see you enjoying the South, but watching this brings back memories of my last visit……….. Today I feel I did some good but it has also left me with so much upset and sadness to know that there are people out there in need of so much help. Walking on the South Downs way near Beachy Head my wife and I spotted a young lad sitting over the edge of the cliff. Something gave us the feeling something was wrong, so I headed back to say hello. We sat down to talk (away from the edge) and he said he was there to end his problems. He was only 17. The Beachy Head Chaplin team came and took over and eventually the police arrived to help. It is so good to see all these people there who care and to help. The lad had been sitting there for 4 hours in the rain and cold. The sadness comes to think of all the people who passed by and don’t stop to say hi or even make a quick call to the Chaplin team to attend. The Chaplin team told me they face situations like this around 500 times a year in this area 😢. An amazing team doing an amazing job! Please could I ask you all to pray for Regan, the young lad I met today, and that he finds the help he needs? Thanks 🙏🏻
At low tide you could have crossed the river on the beach. Would only be up to your knees at the most as it spreads out. I was there on 1.6.23 and kids were crossing it
Living in central london this is one of my 'go to' escapes when I can't make it home to Yorkshire. I tend to train into eastbourne, hike to seaford or more preferably alfriston for a pub night, then back to eastbourne the next day and back into the big smoke
I was so happy to hear you talk about the call of the void in your previous video and again in this one. I have this too and it's good to know that I am not alone. I don't get it hiking much, but high balconies and multilevel shopping mall railing, etc. yikes! I don't trust myself.
Did the Seven Sisters years ago, but was going in the opposite direction.,but would love to do it again. Ni e shot of the Chinook, worked on them for 13yrs whilst in the RAF. Your vid took me right back to some great memories on that walk.
Ahhh you're in my neck of the woods. This is my favourite local hike, although my favourite coastal UK hike personally is the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland
Lovely! I live in Eastbourne so this is my local patch. Moved here to be near it. The green field is used by the school nearby and is their sports field. Belle Tout lighthouse had to be moved away from the cliff a couple of decades ago. Interesting video about that somewhere. You were very wise not to go near the edge; being soft rock it regularly crumbles away in great chunks. If you ever go again, you can get down onto the beach at Hope Gap where you saw rubbish being collected, and at Birling Gap...great views from both.
I'm lucky I live in Eastbourne, just under 3 miles from beachy head, I'm normally walking that route most weekends, as it's clears the mind and calms the soul
Incredible scenery. I love coastlines and here in Florida we have many lighthouses so that was nice in the background. And let Fern know that I just purchased her book online. You have a very special Lady my friend. Big hello from all your friends in Florida USA 🌴
Wife calls our "call of the void" happenings "Brioche moments", after I had to massively resist the urge to push her into a stack of Brioche when we were mincing around a Carrefour in France 😂
Mate! great to see you out walking and, as usual, your commentary is inspirational. I too am familiar with that urge to jump whilst standing at a cliff edge. I love your play on words Hazy - keep them vids coming - please. TYVM.
Friston Forest is where you crossed the river there Hazy. Good for exploring and mountain biking routes. I've walked all the routes in east and west Sussex so shout if you want any recommendations for future explores 👍
Beautiful day for a walk could hear the sky larks cupped together with your humourous chat brilliant light anyone's day up. Look forward to the Joey D trip you two are so funny😅
A long while since I`ve been home. Great to see it on such a glorious day. If you get lucky it`s a Spifire roaring past at cliff level Nice. Thanks. Looking forward to the return of JvD
Its nice there too but the chalk onthe french side is mixed with other minerals and are more grey than white. There are white cliffs in germany but these are not as high or spectacular as beachyhead
Yes, I had that same thought when he mentioned it !. Having since googled it, it does seem very common. I have had it for as long as I can remember, seems really irrational but totally natural at the same time !. I don’t avoid those situations, in fact, embrace them, as I feel it’s better than having a crippling fear of heights. Maybe we’re just wired a bit differently ?…
As one of the three that inundated you 😂 about missing the Seven Sisters on your SDW walk I’m glad you’ve done it and even more pleased you didn’t succumb to the call of the void! Wild camped up there couple of weeks ago, stunning sun set/rise and had it pretty much to ourselves until Beachy Head.
Funny about that Hazey, was only a couple weeks ago I commented that you spend too much time inland and now out of the blue you're on the coast well done Mate
What a nice surprise on a Friday night - a Haze video! Thanks! Also looking forward now to the next one with JD in it. Oh and also, well done for putting the Samaritans number on screen. It might help someone but not everyone would think of doing that so good on ya.
I did the seven sisters country park down to the beach and across the 7 sisters hike the other week absolutely loved it but my right knee didn't 😆 keep up the good work That field had football pitches on it when I done that walk
An inspirational video as always! I also enjoyed the SD way - a great walk - and you’ve inspired me to do the Seaton to Eastbourne walk after this video. Good on you, mate!
Google Maps suggests 'Beachy Head Sports Fields' for that field that boggled your (and mine) mind. Beautiful walk, gave me another reason to want to cross the Channel again. Happy trails!
Unlike his arse, time is tight for Joey D. Can't wait to see the video, feels like a long time since we've seen the fella. Multi day hike sounds great, bring it on!
Too southern for me that hike the more south i go ghe more northern by time i got there id be like compo off last of summer wine 😊good to see ya making vids hazey appreciated dude

Not sure what it is about this chap but I find tears in my eyes when watching, nice walk mate, lovely place
I used to work at seven sisters country park. It’s definitely best to stay away from the edge of chalk cliff. Erosion and cliff falls are very common.
Congratulations to Fern. Lovely day hike, thank you for taking us along. I'm just the same, as a kid I'd climb the highest trees, now the 2nd rung of a ladder and the noggin freezes.
The pitch area also usually has football goal nets and is used by the private school you see at the end of your walk 😊
We have hiked from Seaford to Eastbourne and vice versa. The route you're taking in our opinion is more challenging. Have you tried from Eastbourne to Seaford? Love the gate shutting on its own in the background , as you were talking about poo bags , did anyone else notice 😀just a observation 🙏🏻

The British invented baseball. The same as most sports.

Love and thoughts to Regan, you and the chaplin team💞🙏
It’s a stoolball pitch Hazey.
My ol Mum used to play it. Sussex sport👍👍
I thought it was a cult where southerners sacrifice northerners!
@@JimmyJimmyEnglish no that’s just at night 😃. Stoolball in the daytime
"Inundated with about 3 messages" 😂😂😂 love it!
I did the same day hike about 4 years ago. I remember having a nice snooze of the cliff tops about half way.
When you stopped to eat your croissant you could hear skylarks singing above you... magic
At low tide you could have crossed the river on the beach. Would only be up to your knees at the most as it spreads out. I was there on 1.6.23 and kids were crossing it
This is my local hiking area. Me and the Mrs have wild camped in friston forest many a times.
Pukka.👍
Living in central london this is one of my 'go to' escapes when I can't make it home to Yorkshire. I tend to train into eastbourne, hike to seaford or more preferably alfriston for a pub night, then back to eastbourne the next day and back into the big smoke
Have you ever considered doing the Camino de Santiago. I would love to see you tackle that one! Or even part of it.
Aye!
Cuckmere Haven is something else. I found it on my last morning on the SDW. Taft the Seven Sisters are amazing.
Glad to see you enjoying my home turf haze, I feel very lucky to live in this area, and like to sail the sisters.
I was so happy to hear you talk about the call of the void in your previous video and again in this one. I have this too and it's good to know that I am not alone. I don't get it hiking much, but high balconies and multilevel shopping mall railing, etc. yikes! I don't trust myself.
Thanks for taking me along. You are always so open and honest, and I always finish a vid feeling better than when I started.
Did the Seven Sisters years ago, but was going in the opposite direction.,but would love to do it again. Ni e shot of the Chinook, worked on them for 13yrs whilst in the RAF. Your vid took me right back to some great memories on that walk.
I've missed your videos with joey d, can't wait. The vibes of you two together is awesome!
Had I not been on the porcelain chair, I would have stood and saluted at 6:45. Joey D!
Glad to here about this call of the void I thought it was just me.
Brilliant how you caught that chopper flying along the cliffs edge!
Would have been cool if it blasted my drone out of the sky (but also not cool)
Haze, love seeing the countryside with you and listening to your voice.
Thanks Debs x
Ahhh you're in my neck of the woods. This is my favourite local hike, although my favourite coastal UK hike personally is the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland
Jvd comback. Glorious

What's the name of the school?
It was a rounders field and the bowling and batting square are supposed to be offset.
La pel du vide must be that funny feeling I get when working at height; I can land in that bush, I'll be sound!
😂
I'm lucky I live in Eastbourne, just under 3 miles from beachy head, I'm normally walking that route most weekends, as it's clears the mind and calms the soul
Wauw brother you getting old friend time flies
You are awesome! Thax brother
Up hill !!! to a sheer drop . Crazy Southerners 😊
Glad to hear you and Mr D back together again, awesome.
Did it a couple of years ago. Spitfires flying over head. Truly epic walk innit. ❤
You went Bournemouth as well!
Here we go, here we go, here we go!
What a nice little start of the weekend treat.
Thank you Hazo.
Incredible scenery. I love coastlines and here in Florida we have many lighthouses so that was nice in the background. And let Fern know that I just purchased her book online. You have a very special Lady my friend. Big hello from all your friends in Florida USA 🌴
That’s really kind of you mate! She’s pretty amazing and I’ll tell her you bought her book. Thank you
Beachy Head Sports Field but no idea about the odd house shaped marks - visible on Google Earth! Nice video!

It happened to me at Niagara falls. Its crazy how strong it is.
beautiful Hike of seven sister park
Friston Forest is where you crossed the river there Hazy. Good for exploring and mountain biking routes.
I've walked all the routes in east and west Sussex so shout if you want any recommendations for future explores 👍

Joey D !!! YESSSSS....!!!! 😁😁😁
Just finished watching lonewolf here on RUclips and spot a haze outdoors just uploaded 2 mins ago ... ya wee Dancer 😂😅 its game on 😊
Did this walk when I visited the UK in 2017.
A long while since I`ve been home.
Great to see it on such a glorious day. If you get lucky it`s a Spifire roaring past at cliff level
Nice. Thanks. Looking forward to the return of JvD
Lovely bit of coastline. Did the French mirror of it near Étretat a couple of years ago.
Its nice there too but the chalk onthe french side is mixed with other minerals and are more grey than white. There are white cliffs in germany but these are not as high or spectacular as beachyhead
Von diddlesworth? It's about damn time!
Time lapse hikes r the dugs baws..!!!!! ❤
Keep up da guid work..!!!
And another thing Hazey, there's 7 Sisters mountains near here on the Atherton Tablelands, former volcanic vents funny about that Hey!!
Always amazes me those cliffs are part of the same bulk of chalk as Flamborough Head.
THAT'S what it is!!!! Flippin' call of the void! Cant believe its a genuine thing😂 Thought I was just a weirdo!
Me too!
I have it too….stairwells drive me crazy! Definitely not just a boy thing.
Perhaps it is just a weirdo thing then...? 🤔 😂
Seems weird to me. I always get an urge to push someone else over the edge, but never thought of going myself.

Can't beat an almond croissant by the sea. I did exactly the same in St Ives t'other day.
Just after those vans in your sped up section you passed some cottages from a well known painting of the seven sisters.
Great. I have missed Joey D. Looking forward to that video.
Brilliant as ever. Your like a homing pigeon ha ha Hope Eastbourne looked after you well!!
Brilliant video,,i really enjoy your commentary 👏
Funny about that Hazey, was only a couple weeks ago I commented that you spend too much time inland and now out of the blue you're on the coast well done Mate
Well isnt this a perfect way to end the working week!!
My thoughts entirely 😀
Those pitch markings are Rounders, the mrs tells me. Nice one Hazey, great trip.
Haze I was away last night in argyle I didn’t even see another bod.😉⛺️🇬🇧🍳
Such beauty on this Island, Merci Ras Haze 🙏🏽 Stay Blessed
Fantastic my home ground
Fern is so good for you bringing you down South
Excellent video as usual Hazy. Looking forward to seeing the video with Joey D and yourself.
What a nice surprise on a Friday night - a Haze video! Thanks! Also looking forward now to the next one with JD in it. Oh and also, well done for putting the Samaritans number on screen. It might help someone but not everyone would think of doing that so good on ya.
Oh one more thing, do more day hikes!...Fun Hazey comes out to play and that's enjoyable!
Hi love your outdoor adventures and watch you. My partner was wondering what trousers you were wearing in the Seven Sisters ?? Thanks Angie
Thanks owd Hazel, I've never been to that part of Ye Olde Blightyhole, it looks jolly spiffing and quite marvellous.
It’s simply wonderful old bean 🫘
Nice vid...Ive always had that "pull" to a dangerous fall......I had no idea it was a thing 😵
Big up the south downs rangers
I did the seven sisters country park down to the beach and across the 7 sisters hike the other week absolutely loved it but my right knee didn't 😆 keep up the good work
That field had football pitches on it when I done that walk

Time for shorts? I wear shorts all year. I did it a bit long ago, walking that path. Yes lovely springy grass too.
Can’t wait for the D!!
Brilliant, a place I’ve walked the last 30 years. Glad you enjoyed it mate.
Cheers mate
Yes….Hazey and Joey Van Dangle back out 🍻🍻
Happy sunny daze 🤙
Google Maps suggests 'Beachy Head Sports Fields' for that field that boggled your (and mine) mind. Beautiful walk, gave me another reason to want to cross the Channel again. Happy trails!
It’s such a mad place to have a sports field 🤔🤪
Ahh disco biscuits, good old days 😜,great video 😉
A great hike, great scenery and a very entertaining video. Congratulations to Fern and well done on her book. Awesome. 👍
