It will be a very good intro on pressure vessel design if you have a calculation on a sample pressure vessel with the calculation on shells, D'ends, Nozzles and Saddles. Hope you will do a video on a sample PV design
inside diameter is not given in my case and the other three including the orientation, type of connection between the shell and head , and the type of fluid stored inside is given instead. how do I calculate the thickness???
Do you have the drawing? For thickness calculation of shell, at least we have information of inside diameter or outside diameter. If you do not have that value you can assumed the value of diameter
Dear sir. Thank you for sharing May I have a question: How can I choose the safety factor range for desining. In my case, I am calculating the compressed air tank for Bus vehicle but I don't find any recommend safety factor range for this case.
I would be very happy if you can give the formula on how i could find the thickness oa certain vessel wc is submerrve in the oceas at a depth of 36000 feet below you this is my assignment in my class thanks
We are manufacturers of Coal Gasifiers for Producer Gas. The fuel used is bituminous coal. Could you please tell whether this gasifier falls under this category
There is no additional safety in the calculation. But, the formula has consider somethings such as tolerance, radiography, corrosion allowance, and allowable stress
Hi, thank you for making such a detailed video on the pressure vessels. Sir/Madam, I have a problem where I even don't know the ID and struggling to solve the problem. Problem statement: Design a pressure vessel for 50 liters (Volume) of liquid co2, temperature 300K, material carbon steel, only 3 inputs I have. please help me in solving the problem.
Hello Manoj Kumar, sorry for late response. Do you have the drawing? For thickness calculation, at least you need inside diameter or outside diameter. If you do not you can assumed the dimension
there is an error between the equations UC 27(1) and UC27(2). they are upside down. thickness due to Longitudinal stress should be t=PR/2SE+0.4P based on ASME BPVC Section VIII div 1

Thank you for your suggestion. In the beginning, I will share the calculation in each part of vessel
@@fnengineering Thanks
Thanks
Please make the further videos , I'm really excited
Thanks for Sharing your precious time and knowlegde
Thank you for your comment. I will make further video asap
@@fnengineering Hey
Is it possible for you to send the excel file?, It would be of great help.

Sir it's a request please make more video of design calculation. Your video is very helpful for us
Okay sure, I will make updated video again in this year
Hello sir next video of this series, part 2 is not available?
I am sorry, the part 2 is actually private. you can watch the other video

where we can find the market availability?
for allowable stress why do you select row number 33?
Good
