Do you have the drawing? For thickness calculation of shell, at least we have information of inside diameter or outside diameter. If you do not have that value you can assumed the value of diameter
There is no additional safety in the calculation. But, the formula has consider somethings such as tolerance, radiography, corrosion allowance, and allowable stress

Nice work. please tell me one thing why don't you consider the Factor Of Safety in your Calculations.
