    It will be a very good intro on pressure vessel design if you have a calculation on a sample pressure vessel with the calculation on shells, D'ends, Nozzles and Saddles. Hope you will do a video on a sample PV design

    Hi, thank you for making such a detailed video on the pressure vessels. Sir/Madam, I have a problem where I even don't know the ID and struggling to solve the problem. Problem statement: Design a pressure vessel for 50 liters (Volume) of liquid co2, temperature 300K, material carbon steel, only 3 inputs I have. please help me in solving the problem.

      Do you have the drawing?
      For thickness calculation, at least you need inside diameter or outside diameter. If you do not you can assumed the dimension

    inside diameter is not given in my case and the other three including the orientation, type of connection between the shell and head , and the type of fluid stored inside is given instead. how do I calculate the thickness???

      Do you have the drawing?
      For thickness calculation of shell, at least we have information of inside diameter or outside diameter. If you do not have that value you can assumed the value of diameter

    Nice work. please tell me one thing why don't you consider the Factor Of Safety in your Calculations.

      There is no additional safety in the calculation. But, the formula has consider somethings such as tolerance, radiography, corrosion allowance, and allowable stress

      If the working pressure between 15 kPa - 30 MPa, it can apply asme section viii div 1

    there is an error between the equations UC 27(1) and UC27(2). they are upside down. thickness due to Longitudinal stress should be t=PR/2SE+0.4P
    based on ASME BPVC Section VIII div 1
