Yeah, not a fan of Cosmo...
A lot of plane builders forget that only the wings have drag. That's why you need a small vertical stabilizer in the front.
I've made plenty of planes that only have rear vertical stabilizers, and they work just fine.
@@ShawnF6FHellcat If you've never tried it, planes can be a lot more controllable with front vertical stabilizers too.
@@tbuk8350 My planes are generally pretty stable, but that's likely because they are faster and smaller. I haven't used front vertical stabilizers, but I do occasionally use wing pieces for things like landing gear that would act like one; in fact, my most recent build is a Stuka that uses such a design.
I haven't uploaded any of my planes, but I did upload a couple of very accurate missiles (one a SAM and the other a SSM) that use The Modpack's orientation sensor to track targets. I'm very proud of them. If you're curious, just lookup my username and submissions on the workshop.

ScrapMan, please check out the Scrap Mechanic Build "Zodiac Miner". It is one of the most impressive vehicles I've come across in the workshop. It it a flying mining craft, that has a 'gunner seat' for the drill controls, it has a smaller flying vehicle inside it's hanger bay, and the smaller ship can, with a single button press, fly itself back to the ship, and park itself in the hanger. It has the coolest design I've seen for not only the elevator and doors, but also the coolest cockpit design.

I want to see more videos that are a continuation of old ones based on comments, like it was with the drift car and single-track tank. I'd love to see the evolution of ball balancing.
Maaybe you can decide which ones to continue based on poles in the community tab?
I was looking forward to seeing Scrapman try to fly that glider thing through the last checkpoint.
do a plane dogfight but with cannons mod so you can have proximity fuses and you could also use mjm mod with the inertia block

You dodging that projectile from the rocket launcher gave me an idea, you all build a plane made to be as fast or manoeuvrable as possible and you have to dodge the rockets.
You could do
This as evolution as I expect the rounds to be quite short

Imagine having your creation featured and ur all exited and then ur favorite youtuber goes the entire episode saying that this was the worst creation they have ever had the misfortune of encountering.

Hey scrapman, if you need ideas for Scrap Mechanic, I highly recommend the fant mod survival. It is a completely new experience and very fun to play.
Love the Video man, I have some trouble figuring everything out how planes work in scrap mechanic if you could do an in depth dive in explaining how everything works that would be a really good help 💪

Will point out the obvious but gliders are usually brought up to speed (maybe they have a small engine for climbing before the pilot cuts said engine when they are ready to glide).
Otherwise the plane is just stalling and dropping like a hunk of metal.
Sure some planes have a lot of lift and get out of the stall quicker in your situation but rather give more planes a chance to have the speed to fly. And thus how real world gliders are used.
Not a multiplayer Monday video but could yall make a video where all yall do it goof off and mess around coming up with stuff on the spot. Like no planned goal. I think it will be really fun and funny to watch!

personally teh way i would have done the glider part is one change to the rules, remove the wheels if there is any, for the glider and landing allow up to 3 tries, but its not a best of 3, but rather keep the current score or try again, do worse, to bad, thats your new score.
