Searched everywhere and couldn't find out what convenience services did. Thank you! You should probably make a video title with just that. Toyota users have the same question!
Great stuff. My dealer had no clue what convenience services setting was. Aside from the lights not on are there any other examples of when a helpful alert from convenience services would come on?
Hi Marty! Glad I can help. There don't seem to be a lot of pop-ups, but the lights, moonroof or window left open and even the low fuel messages can fall into the category. I'm not sure the low fuel message can be completely turned off for safety reasons. I wish Lexus had a list of messages for this category. If I ever come across one I'll make sure to post about it. Thanks again!
Thank you for the informative tutorial, quick question I’m looking for the 22 es300h. Does the easy seat option come in base model or have to be luxury and up?
Hi Dustin, The Driver's Seat Easy Exit is usually part of the Driver Position Memory feature. According to the Lexus website that is part of the Premium package. It can vary by region though, so be on the safe side, reach out to your sales person and ask for a v-spec or a copy of the window sticker. Make sure to look for these two items: Lexus Memory System Power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel (Or Driver Position Memory) I hope this helps :)
Hi! Unfortunately the audio arrows aren't customizable in that way. I sure wish they could. I think they have it programmed so it resembles moving up and down the list, but I hear where you're coming from. Thanks very much for tuning in with me!
I can't find the option to disable the steering wheel (easy exit) retract on my 2020 RX350 in the menu options so does that mean I can't turn off the easy exit steering retraction for my vehicle? Thanks
Hi! On the 2020 RX350 if it is equipped with the Easy Exit feature, it should be under Menu > Setup > Vehicle > Vehicle Customize > Other and then turn off the feature. Hopefully this will help.
On a 2022 NX 350 Fsport, my doors auto lock on moving, I didn’t want them to lock. I haven’t found how to not have them locked at all, please how would I do this. Thanks Dave from Australia
Hi Dave, I'm so sorry for the delay. I have not had access to an NX to work on this for you. At the moment with the setting on the main screen in the car, I am still not able to keep the car form auto locking once the car gets to about 3 mph. I have tried turning off the top setting for Auto lock/unlock and togging off the Auto lock by shift to Park, but no luck. I have reached out to someone at Lexus to see if there is a setting in the computer that a Technician could adjust. I'll let you know asap. Thanks so much for your patience.

Hi, yes, music from a flashdrive, when programmed correctly is possible. The USB ports that support data are usually under the arm rest. Make sure to look for the data icon, not just charging. You also should look in the Owner's Manual for formatting requirements. Keep in mind that the new systems are going toward streaming and mirroring music from the phone and not a flash drive. Also, many flash drives have a very large storage capacity now and the system on the car can not process all of the data quickly so they might timeout. It is better to have your music on a compatible smart phone or MP3 player. Connect with Bluetooth Audio or plug in to one of the data compatible USB ports and for better access to your music content. I hope this helps.
Hi Kishore, What year is your LS? Do you have a hard button shortcut by the touch pad with a picture of a seat for the seat controls? If not then open the seat controls from the main screen. There are additional driver and front passenger seat adjustments, including the headrests, located on screen. Hope this helps.
I have a 2016 RX350. I have issues with the interior light settings. I saw you video on this, and I set the light settings for 7.5 seconds. But still, it takes like 20 minutes before the interior lights turn off after I turn off the vehicle. All doors are also closed. Any ideas? Help
Hi Jeff, The timing of the interior lighting begins when the vehicle is turned off and locked. Make sure the lights are in Door Mode, and make sure to lock the car from the smart access system or the key fob and then the interior lights should turn off based on the time you have customized. The only exception would be if you manually turned on the dome lights or the personal lights. Those will stay on longer and can deplete the accessory battery as they are not intended to be left on. If they are manually turned on, please make sure to manually turn them off to reactivate the "door mode" functionality. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in with us!
Hi George. That change happened starting on the Gen 10 systems a few years ago. Unfortunately there is not a setting to modify it. It is speed sensitive and happens at a few miles an hour. A lot of us have given feedback about this exact thing and are hoping that Lexus will change it. We think they did if to minimize the distraction of having album art on the screen while you drive, but if that's the case, why not just turn it off? Why change to a different picture? Sure hope they change it some day.
Yes I discovered that on my 2021 RX for the USB, sitting in the car after programming/loading the USB every cover art was working, great I thought, until I started driving and noticed it was showing the USB logo instead. And here I thought I must have done something wrong with the files system or something else. Glad I "just" came across this in your video. Have they come up with a solution yet, that's just crazy if it's actually for the reason you mentioned - driver distraction haha. Thanks.

Anyone know how to keep the nav screen from coming on when vehicle is started? Wife wants audio screen to permanently come on at startup. 2022 ES350 is vehicle
Hi Jerry, There are a couple of things that will help, but I know that sometimes the map can still come on when you turn on the car. Try this though: Menu > Setup > scroll down to "Auto Change to Screen" (used to be called Auto Screen Change) > Turn that Off. Then your wife can leave the screen on Audio, for example, and it should stay there. However, if she is on a Bluetooth phone call, when she turns the car off, the next time she turns the car back on, it will usually go back to the map. I hope this will help a bit.
Hi @Khan, Here's my video about how to use App CarPlay in your Lexus: ruclips.net/video/Yatf9H11jQM/видео.html For any 2020 RX, RXh, RXL, RXhL, make sure to only use the USB ports under the arm rest. The other ports in the car are for charging only. Hope this helps :)
I am buying a new Lexus NX 350h luxury, loaded. Question: I am driver number 1 and my wife is driver number 2. She gets in the car as the driver and I get in as a passenger. How does the car know she is driver number 2 and sets her setting for driver number 2? Can she use her app or fob or door control to set it for driver number 2?
Hi Joe. There are a couple of ways the NX can know who is the driver: 1. If you both a key, make sure to link one key to each of your profiles. Then unlock the vehicle from the Driver's Door first. That is the clearest connection. The system recognizes that key as being linked to a specific driver. 2. The car will also recognize the phone's Bluetooth signature. 3. Worst case scenario, click on the Gear icon to open Settings, click on your name in the Saved Profiles list, enter your Lexus App 6-digit PIN and the car will switch to your profile. Thanks very much for tuning in with me!
