Both so very beautiful. They look healthy and well fed. But my heart breaks for their loneliness. Monta spends so much time just staring blankly into space. And Laura’s companionship with an earthworm is pitiful. Wishing that someone would bring a sleeping bag and camp out with Laura, have afternoon tea, play cards, bring her a kitten. And some kind of friend for Monta. A guinea pig? A turtle. Anything.
Ohh this is the 1st time I'm going to see this wonderful family.....glad to meet them I don't want to see momo and genki to be this far to one another....
They must be so lonely being on their own😔, maybe a glass wall between them might be a good idea,at least they can see each other, but anyway at least their enclosure is big enough for them ❤️
類人猿研究所日本動物園 awe that's so sad😔! Poor thing looks so lonely. Can or will they ever try to introduce another possibly another female for company for either one or another male for Laura? One more question what's the silverbacks name and what are their ages? Thank you🙂!
The name of Silverback is Monta 35 years old. Laura is 42 years old. Gorilla has a short lifespan. Most gorillas cannot live until they are 50 years old. In Japan, there are only 20 gorillas, so it is difficult to find a fiance. Gorilla is a sensitive organism. Older gorillas can die just by changing the environment.
@@GreatApesZoo I agree they can't easily adjust nor adopt the new place...just like what happened to shabani when they've first moved...any how they're getting older.....God bless this wonderful creature that God has created
There's nothing more captivating or majestic than gorillas. I live in the USA but follow zoos around the globe to view all the gorillas. I hope the people over the gorilla program in Japan consider trying to move Annie and/or the 10 year old from Ueno Zoo in with this male or the male named Show. They're both very lonely and if they got along it would be so great. The female here will sadly probably never have a companion because it is very hard to do after being raised by humans. It can happen though not often. The zoos here in the US go to great lengths to reintroduce the babies back into a gorilla trp. as quickly as possible whenever it's necessary to remove them to save their life.
@@GreatApesZoo ohh is it....? What other options can zoo have to have more gorillas...is it because of Aspinall Foundation who's planning to bring back gorillas back to the wild...
@@marieldeguzman6193 The ban against importing wild gorillas predates Aspinall. Back in the 70's, it was realized that bringing in wild babies often meant killing their entire birth family, which didn't help conservation efforts. Many of these also died young in zoos (including all the mountain gorilla babies brought in). Once zoos finally managed to get them to breed, a ban was placed against further importation of wild apes. Hence why Nene, Biddy and all the surviving wild-born gorillas are now elderly.
かわいいローラ♡ 43歳なんてまだまだ若い! (笑) ローラは人 ここから人生はじまるよ~
Cute Laura ♡ 43 years old is still young! (Laughs) Laura is a person Life starts from here ~

good idea!
I would like to see them live long and healthy too.
Thank you for watching.
Do they not get along if not as mates just around each other so they don't have to be alone?
So why are they separated?
Laura is raised by a human and is afraid of the gorilla male. Gorillas raised by humans are more likely to live alone.

Hopefully they will bring kokomo & annie to be with monta, poor monta 😢
Why they don't put monta & Laura together , anyone knows?
Laura was raised in artificial childcare and cannot live with gorillas.
Why do they live alone, how are they supposed to mate ?

Please find her another worm it was company for her please please zookeeper .
Can Japan buy more gorilla from Congo?
Currently, the sale of apes is prohibited by international law.
