The biggest problem when we are spat upon and reviled, is not rejoicing in the spit and swear words so much as the Evangelical leader response when we are. I'm sick of reading responses from TGC, CT or others that basically say we deserve the reviling because we were too abrasive, we disobey Romans 13, or are not "winsome" enough. Effectively, stealing our promised joy from Matthew 5:11 and replacing it with confusion and condemnation, because we should have known better than to cause a ruckus over things that aren't "gospel issues".
We have to obey Romans 13 unless the government is forcing us to go against scripture. If we’re reviled by other Christians for not obeying Romans 13, it’s probably because they don’t understand what Romans 13 actually means. The church is not supposed to be winsome, we’re supposed to preach the gospel. If the gospel causes us to be reviled we’re being reviled for the right. But if CT and TGC are reviling Christians for not wearing masks and getting the shot they’re reviling us for the wrong reason. And I’m saying that as someone who got the shot and wore a mask because I thought it was the best way to love my neighbor during the pandemic.

People are saying mean things about the Christians in Moscow because you preach the truth unapologetically. But Christians in general aren’t having mean things said about them because they’ve capitulated to the culture. I’m Lutheran so I don’t hold to the Westminster confessions. However, this doesn’t mean I’m not reformed in the general sense of believing in the Solas.

But really glad to have found you here, I believe you will be a great fit up there. BTW we are moving to the mountains of NC in two days. I told you and Graham that I was going to follow our lord and He has provided the land and home with a body of believers we are so looking forward to serving. God is so good, my bride and I will miss Grace and all of the dear saints there terribly but our hearts will always be with them just like our hearts are with you dear brother. I do agree with one commenter, if you read the Bible it will reveal so many truths, it's undeniable. But first, one must have an open heart. Next, if that's not enough, the risen Christ was seen by many people after his death. Which makes his resurrection true. Now even if that's not enough, try this, if all of it is a lie (which if you read the Bible, you'll find it doesn't lie), why would persecuted people continue to follow Jesus? What's in it for them? Look, when you no longer make yourself the center of your life, and turn it over to God. When you turn away from sin and the world's empty trappings, pick up the cross and follow Christ, it all sort of falls into place. When I did this my troubles became petty and small. I realized I'm now aligned with the infinite creator, who is outside of time and space, far beyond comprehension. If you truly searched for the truth and found it. You'd drop to your knees and weep because of how glorious He is.

Here's my question. Why is Christianity true in the first place beyond the statement that "the bible says it is".
Truth is self evident. Jesus Christ is history. Read the Bible for yourself. You will know the truth. Be well.
