Had a visit to the store back in April, wanted to buy 5 bottles of gaia notes paint, they sold me only one.. wouldn’t recommend the store for any paint shopping.. there are better stores, which sold me the exact paint without any limitation, Bought 6!!

Thank you for recommending this shop. I am currently visiting Seoul and already been to 2 Gundam base. Have to say, Gunpla choice is getting less and less in Seoul. For Joy Hobby, the Gunpla isle reduces to 1.5 and a lot of empty space. I still remember they were a time I picked up HG Gouf custom flight at Gangnam Gundam base. There were much more choice back then.

This is how it's been in the US for 3 years now up until this spring. We have had little access to gunpla but an increasing amount of Kotobukiya. I switched mostly to Frame Arms Girls and such. However this spring it started to turn around and we have been getting Bandai stock and levels are returning to normal. There are even chain stores like Target that carry the Gundam Aerial.

So clean and well lit. Most hobby shops I've to here in the US seem dingy and overstocked. Sad to hear hobby stores aren't doing so well over there. I wonder if it's due to lack of interest or if kids these days aren't into things that take patience and focus.
The patience and focus part is the best part of it for me!

That's such an amazing store! The nearest hobby store where I live in North Carolina is over an hour away and has only two aisles of modeling supplies (gunpla/car/airplane kits, tools, and paints) so it's not even worth making the trip over there, so everything I get is from online stores. I hate hearing the shops in Korea are starting to shrink or close, but I suppose everything is shifting to online stores these days. 😔

Thank you for the videos. I am afraid they may become some sort of documentaries for future generations 😢 All the hobby shops seem to be struggling in Seoul. I think even the 'new' Anitong is closed for good now.
I wonder if the common denominator is actually Bandai. Over the past few weeks I have been to Joy Hobbies, Side 7 (near Konkuk), Kukje Electronic Centre and two Gundam Bases. There are simply no Gunpla stock around, not even for Gundam Base.
How things have changed from the days when Gunpla filled a whole floor of Hobby Factory, and even the small-ish Nowon Gundam Base had the full lineup on display 😑 All these shops seem to be relying on other items (remote control cars, train sets, figures, military sets, etc.) now to keep things going instead. Where are the Gunpla kits, Bandai?

Anyway, its really a shame that hobby shops are closing up due to COVID, it's one of the things I love visiting when going to Japan or any other foreign country. BTW, I'm also looking for some plastic tubes to replace the metal tubes for some various SH Studio Zaku kits. Do you happen to know the diameter? The overall situation for Gunpla is the same in Taiwan, many shops have limited stock but if it's a recent restock they will at least have it unless it's a Witch from Mercury kit... those tended to go really fast.
That Four figure was VERY overpriced in Tokyo but quite reasonable in Taipei.

My GF is 27 and has strong negative feelings towards Japan)Hence the significantly fewer gundam bases. Yall need to stop mistaking anime and gundam as an Asian wide thing. Korea is is its own nation with its own identity and culture. I'm not sure why westeners come to Korea/other Asian countries and immediately go "WHERE'S THE GUNDAM AND ANIME". If you want that.
