Sharon Stone as a gunslinger: you would think this is a hard “no”. But this is actually a really enjoyable popcorn Saturday afternoon movie 🍿
She did a great job. It's like the only movie I really like her in.
Great performance from Catherine Tramell to Annie Oakley
She was gorgeous back in the day though, so any chance to see her in any movie might be a pleasure.
CRAP.
its garbage
Ever notice that Gene Hackman can elevate any movie he is in ?
Not hard to elevate this sad excuse for a movie.
@@banjohappy The only reason I struggled through this movie was Gene Hackman.
Yes. Gene was great at roles like a bad sheriff or a bad preacher.
@@tmcl1837 UNFORGIVEN, etc.
He is one of the greatest. totally believable in ever role he's played.
When they made this movie other than Hackman they had no idea how many stars they had in the cast
True...Russell Crowe was virtually unknown at the time and Leonardo Dicaprio was just making a name for himself.
Sharon Stone was a big star at this time.
@ true, I was talking more Crowe, and DiCaprio. They wouldn’t have been able to afford them both now
Even JigSaw (Tobin bell) is in the movie
“You’re not fast enough” “Today I am”
One of the greatest actors of this century and the last one. 👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
There's no forgiveness needed when mercy was met with spite.
Love this film ,Sharon stone was amazing, stone brought beauty to the film
That scumbag was shown mercy, but he still attacked her.
I think that Harrod made him do it.. Probably told him that if he didn't go back at her that he would have his men gun the sicko down.. Remember the contest wasn't over until one of them was dead..
He was a real piece of shit. Abused young girls, was willing to shoot women, and attacked people who.had their backs turned. Scumbag doesn't do it justice.
Mercy undeserved
Keith Davids Sergeant Cantrell is 100 percent the reason why Rockstar made Sheriff Freeman in Red Dead Redemption 2.
I always thought that Shreiff Freeman and Sergant Cantrell were both inspired by Bass Reeves.
@andreimadasov4955 that might be it too
"Gold teeth, a whole mouth full of gold teeth... hehehhe"
Kevin Conway was an underrated actor. Check out his roles as Sergeant Kilrane in 'Gettysburg' and Curtis LeMay in 'Thirteen Days'
RIP Kevin
Gene Hackman is a legend
1:09 "Some nachos would be good right about now."
😂😂
In her prime Stone was the sexiest woman alive.
In her prime… she still is sexy.
She was never attractive
Totally Recall Sharon Stone is 🔥
Big fan of Sharon Stone
Sir, you are an ACTOR, wonderful skills
What determines a really good movie is how often you watch scenes from it. Especially over a period of decades.
dunno about you all, but i'm never without my teeth pullin' pliers when i'm out on the town...
Who would have figured, back in the 1990s, that Mr. Evil Dead would make one of the best westerns of that era?
Well to be fair, Raimi did make one of the best Medieval movies during the 90s as well. ^_-
This movie was so cheesey it was awesome
Ok anyone else notice that the hired mercs never actually shoot their rifles once in the entire movie?
You retard then.
Too much cheese, not enough macaroni.
So bad it was kind of enjoyable as a comedy.
@@JaNeija Ideally they never have to. Nobody is going to challenge Herrod while they are there. So they never need to shoot.
The closest we ever got was Herrod taking one of his man's rifles to kill Ratsy, and Cort taking away one of their rifles and using it against another guy. They also had the downside of never knowing who they were going to have to shoot or when, while also being in easy to see and shoot locations.
The town knew what the guy was doing to the girl and the cowards wouldn’t stop him 😢
It's crazy to think this came out in Feb and Casino was in November the same year. Sharon FTW
This movie was better then it was given credit for. I wish they had made a sequel with Russell Crow as the town sheriff and a reverend, too. Obviously, with a lot more serious script this time.
Wromg. It sucked.
I love Gene Hackman's work as a villian or a good guy. His portrayal in The French Connection was outstanding, He must be compared with Jack Palance as the ultimate villian. Fantastic acting along with all the rest of the cast. 😅
Love gene hackman movies! Especially narrow margin!
Narrow margin is amazing
That last gunshot threw Keith David’s head though, shit!!!!
Through his head?
it looked stable like a seated dummy.
i always wondered was the bartender about to grab his gun to shoot him? that hesitation between the two of them always confused me
absolutely he was
The girl whom he just abused was the bartender's daughter, but the bartender wasn't quick or discreet enough
@@jmwoods190 Or brave enough. He's one of the many cowards. It's understandable, even if it's sad.
For those of you who don't know, Gene Hackman is a former US Marine Corps
Is it wrong if I instinctively laugh when Gene Hackman puts a giant hole through Keith David's head in this scene? Because to me, that scene is just plain silly.
The whole movie is practically a farce.
@bradleybrown8399 yep buts it's a popcorn movie
Don’t think about it too much
This movie is better than a metric crap ton of recently released films
The only sillier shot is when Sharon Stone's shot makes Hackman's body do a backflip. Ridiculous scene.
Nice! A 7 Shooter pistol. Those were rare! 🤠
Could've been a LeMat revolver. They held 9.
@@specialk9424 Aww...nice! 😀
Gene Hackman was amazing in this! You believe Herod is invincible because Gene Hackman convinces you he is!
3:53 that smirk of slight pride 😏 from Hackman.
Right up until the moment the kid called himself the new mayor. Then all bets were off.
Sam Raimi directed the hell out of this movie! It's like Evil Dead meets The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!
Luv that stage and the theoretical clothing is fantastic.
With how that guy looked, I'm surprised the kid wasn't in a sailor outfit from rhodes
Wish they do a sequel
Who would be doing what in the sequel? Ellen is gone and Cort is the sheriff. The town finally has a sheriff they want, and a guy who won't abuse the power.
@ she could come back to town ,meet up with the sheriff ,then a gang comes to town the brother of the one she killed,to get revenge, then after they kill the brother and the gang ,cort and her could marry
What a movie this is.
2:48
Monty Python:
JESUS CHRIST!
I guess we'll call it a draw.
She's good gunfighter to live with them power
Was a great movie to eatch in the theaters. Dolby THX surround in IMAX, gret movie.
The most comical clip I've seen for ages 😅😅😅
underrated western
CRAP MOVIE THAT RIPPED OFF ALL OF EASTWOOD`S WESTERNS!
God they don't make movies like this anymore
Thank goodness
What a trite and tiring axiom.
@7:51 does he really say holy moly sniff her pants 😂
I don't think so. I think they were saying something about her fast hands.
🤣🤣🤣😂😂
And when you find out the reason why she’s out for revenge, it just breaks your heart and you really feel for her character.
They hung her daddy the sheriff
@@Pedroism Not just that, he handed her a gun and told her, a little girl who never even held a gun before that day, that if she could shoot the rope and free him he’d let him live. Naturally she takes aim, and winds up shooting her own father in the head. Which is why she wanted revenge.
Yup, and even though Cort could have killed Herrod in the end, he let Ellen have her dual with him, because she needs it. Even if she dies of that wound, she did what she went there to do. It's worth pointing out that Cort was standing nearby though. So even if Ellen failed, Herrod was NOT going to survive.
@@gamemasternintendoo She even gets her redemption moment with the man being hung while standing on a chair. She also even did it in no more than 3 shots, aka the same amount of shots that Herrod was giving her to save her daddy's life.
Gene Hackman will always be Lex Luthor 😂
Gene is one of the best!!
I like the older Russell Crow
Excellent movie!!!
Easily one of the best bad movies ever made. Fucking love it.
It’s not a bad movie. What’s bad about it? Shot well, edited well, phenomenal cast, paced well.
Tell me why it’s bad.
@@CrackerJack06 because it's bad; It's cliché after cliché.
@@CrackerJack06??? Seriously? This movie is so far over the top it's hard to imagine it was ever made to be anything other than a parody..

Cliche no means bad movie. You stupid retard.
Before this was made Clint Eastwood wanted Dtone to star in Unforgiven but she turned him down saying he wasn't famous enough.
Too bad there wasn't a sequel.
If this clip was promoting her duel, why show the other two? If it was for the second round, why not show the last?
A fun little film that probably considering the talent involved and premise probably should have been far better. Sam Raimi really shines at his best during the shoot outs. Stone, was coming off Casino at his point, was at her peak of her fame at this point and this was her pet project. But she's outshone by the rest of the cast.
You got Gene Hackman playing a fun villain. Leo DiCapiro pre Titanic putting in a fun performance. Russell Crowe, pre L.A Confidential and Gladiator, showing off his future leading man talents. You got great character actors in Keith David, Lance Henriksen, Tobin Bell, Pat Hingle, Woody Strode and Gary Sinise in small roles. And even the great Bruce Campbell.
Fun but flawed film.
Some mayor he can't even control predators in his own town
RIP Kevin Conway

lol reminds of this old movie I use to watch as kid, about dad who was a Sgt Maj who also fully restored and owned a WwII Sherman tank, then his kid gets arrested and sent away but this crooked sheriff an mayor , and well dad's got a tank lol
This be like had dutch decided to stay in a town and Arthur Morgan tried to retired. Sadie came to help. Rain fight Sadie vs Micah.
I don't see Russel Crowe in this, just in the end a short sentence.
He also made the sarcastic comment about "changing the rules" when the duels were changed to lethal.
A wild Kieth David appeared
7ː43~7ː46 Sharon Stone's lightning fast fire.
5:31 😄
wow looks like i need to watch superman again because of that guy
I can see Sharon doing a Western today, and she would
be A Perfect Fit.
Интересно, как сложилась бы судьба Юджина,если бы он выжил и не пошёл стрелять в бар?
Его пенис и, возможно, яички были прострелены. Он бы умер от потери крови. Жаль бедного русского.
Either Herod's men get him for contest failure or he flees when the kid dies
@@michaelkramer6246 Even if he gets away, he's still prolly going to die from his wound, but yeah, Herrod likely would have had his men gun him down.
Mini thrills and Jill's and the battles wit with wit and wild West Wiley's working their whiles upon the wilds of the dead
And DOWN went the trumper!
All hail Governer Waltz
At 0.31 and at 0.43 Gene Hackman has a mountain range behind him, at 1.41 he now has buildings behind him and people around him. At 0.23 there are people to Hackmans left, but they were a lot closer to him at 1.26 , they are practically next to him.
At the end of the clip Russell Crowe says to her the Lord will forgive you if you asked for it . I'm kind of curious about something , forgive her for what ?
Gene Hackman is a great actor and in this role he was playing the part magnificent.
Gene Hackman was a badass
2:06 That gun is useless it's bolted to his belt.
It’s actually a type of quick draw mount. No holster, just grab and fire from the hip.
She got injured just notice that
The rectangular rebel flag didnt exsist then...they were square...the rectangular flags are all replicas...
Pointing it out...there was one hanging above the bar...
Im from texas sharon dressed as a cowboy that was hot
like the lightning\thunder when he still tried to bless him at the end. god: not this one!
That dude couldn't shoot for squat! He fired like 6 shots and didn't hit once
I guess hes just that kind of actor
Would have been a really good movie but for the poor directing. The script was a little light but with all of these actors, a good director could have tightened things up. The basic ingredients were there. I wonder if the schedule was too short?
I thought this movies was boring.
he's clearly never met a true Italian...
only bad thing in this is the plastic peanut bottles ugh
crazy to think Leo almost wasnt cast.
I heard that Sharon Stone paid for his wages from her own pocket. That may be a BS story though.
Or Crowe. Sharon Stone would have paid for his salary out of her own pocket, but instead, the shooting got delayed so that he could take the role.
I like this movie, it’s a good one and ain’t preachy. Can’t remember the name of it😊
Quick and the dead
Great movie
Agreed, it lets the good guy be good, despite his past, and doesn't make Ellen a Mary Sue. They are both fantastically complicated characters with understandable motives.
See that milf grab Leo and plant a sloppy kiss on him after he gunned down scars? Leo is just a kid there. What if the shooter was a young girl ,and some older man did that to her, he would be labelled a predator!!!
Wouldn't have mattered in this town, given what happens later.
Its a movie. Calm your tits. And he was 19.
DiCaprio was born in 1974, this movie was made in 1995. Meaning he was 20 or 21 when it was filmed. So if you assume the character was the same age, he was a full fledged adult and it seems likely consider he owned and was running a gun store. That girl didn't look more than 14 years old if that. Big difference. You aren't the first to think Leo was younger than he really was then though.
The character Leonardo DiCreepio played in this film was not a child. He was an adult and a killer just like his father. What a BS title and cheap attempt at catching views
The child abuser in the title is the guy at 5:11 not dicaprio’s character fee herod
Lol decreepio 😂
DiCaprio's presence in this scene is irrelevant to the clip's title, in both wording and premise.
Such is referring to the man toward the end of the clip who had, clearly and admittedly, just r@ped the precedingly shown upset child.
#power_girl
Lousy movie except that Gene Hackman was in it so it makes it OK
Cheesy ass movie
What did he do to her?
Grape
He abused the girl that ran out of the joint earlier.
I think he has been elevated too much, he is ok. But he is no gregory peck. Clint eastwood, and many, many others.
Hes got a shit tonne more range than either of them.
@@sugarnads Who, Kevin Conway?
Dumb scene it's too laughable
Absolutely one of the worst movies ever made. I lost count of counting the clichés.
Gotta love hollyweird making women think they are stronger than men 😂😂😂😂
Stronger than you.
Except that they didn't. She caught him from behind while he was sitting in a chair, kicked him while he was down, and he is clearly drunk off his ass. Plus they even have her get shot first in the final dual. Yes, she wins, and Cort didn't take the kill from her, even though he could have earlier, and he's standing right there.
