The possibilities and the extend of things that you can do with this knowledge can be considered dark in base of a "normal" ethic

Tell that to the victims of the Nazis. They got away with their crimes because they understood psychology. While I understand what you’re saying… truth itself is not ‘dark’, but the truth about people like Jeffrey Daumer et al … is dark because it’s horrific as is the obvious study of psychology to serve the obvious tyranny (for one thing) that humanity is still continuing to suffer under. People in positions of power are the most interested in psychology… regular everyday people have no clue how their choices and beliefs are socially engineered. The Milgram experiments only served the tyrants and psychopaths … while the masses are completely ignorant. That’s dark. But, fine, if you want to be literal… you have a point. And it’s good for people to see things that way… but, you should also understand the abstract message. It’s one of the things that distinguishes human intelligence. That separates us from the fictional Vulcan type mindset, as one analogy.
