But I always carry a sword….. sometimes diplomacy fails, and when it does, I’m your huckleberry.

It takes a lot of work to be a complete, well-rounded, disciplined, insightful, emotionally balanced, compassionate, spiritual person; countless hours, more intensive than any university course, a lifelong endeavour, I'm still working on it.
Carl Jung began to call his work Analytical Psychology so he could differentiate his work from Freud. Freud continued to call his form of psychology “Psychoanalysis”. In short, Jung was so dope he outshined Siggy & the neurotics!
The crucial question is how to do this while working a demanding job? Our brains can't process dedication to two different deep things at the same time. It's why we have sayings like 'If you put your feet in two boats you'll fall in deep water', possibly because they would go in different directions. I struggle with this cuz just when I need a little more time to figure something out about myself, I am pulled away to attend to something I only care about because it brings in money to pay the rent.
Sometimes I wish I had the Superpower to stop time for *everybody else* so I can go and ponder and read the necessary books and do the necessary work. I’d love to pull back and be a hermit for awhile, but life would still go on and there would be holidays and birthdays I’d miss and other important things with the people I love and value.
@@XTRABIG I find it difficult to focus when I have to keep switching between tasks. My problem is the impending work-related task acts like the elephant in the room and when I try to do one thing and focus on it, I completely forget that the world exists let alone the other task/work-stuff. I am so on edge about forgetting my work that in the end I can't do anything. It's more of my ability to 100% completely focus on a thing gets in my way and since I live alone I don't have anyone (apart from alarms) to nudge/poke/remind me that other things exist. It is easy for me to get stuck in doing a thing in full focus and deep detail like the protagonist of Tolkien's Leaf by Niggle. Any ideas? I am aware that for certain types (personality types?) of people this seems easier to do than for others.
This is nothing other than a synopsis of Jungian beliefs and concepts. It provides not a single practical step for embarking on the journey of bringing the shadow into the light. In that sense, it is dangerous. There are hundreds of reasons for anxiety and depression and they are much more complex than simply denying a part of the self. Consider the abused and ir emtionally neglected child. Consider the young sex trafficked woman and young men. Consider the 11 year old bride. Consider the female child subjected to genital mutilation. The list of other thing to consider when reflecting on the incorporation of the shadow into the whole personality is ling and deeply complex. The journey advised in this deep sounding, but essentially superficial video, is not one to be embarked upon lightly or alone. There is a need for a wise, fully integrated guide or at least companion. Beginning in my early 30's I read all of Jung in an attempt to make sense of my life. What helped me the most was a young therapist who used many different approaches, among them Fritz Perls' theory of Gestalt therapy. Perls believes we are are born whole, but that in order to survive--literally in early infancy when we must rely on our caretakers to remain alive--we cut off parts of our personalities that either threaten or displease those caretakers. He goes on to posit that the choices we make, no matter how illogical or even self-destructive they may appear on the surface, have a logic of their own: to get back to the whole entity we were at birth. The choices are, in a sense, clues to the parts we have sacrificed. The process involves analysing dreams and, most helpful of all, having conversations with the various parts of yourself in which you actually change seats to become the other part. Be careful what you take away from this video. You can find yourself lost in deep darkness, you can lose your way and cause damage to your psyche. Pay attention. The difficulties and fears referred to in this video can be overwhelming and terrifying. Jung never meant for this journey to be taken alone. Lastly, the "Ubermensch" posited by Nietzsche was what fueled the Nazis and their horrifying campaign of genocide. We see the same occurring in front of our eyes today in the war betwee6 Israel and Gaza; Russia and Ukraine. In both cases the leaders and those who support those leaders, there is a lack of self awareness, a failure to confront the shadow, but only to act on it. The same can be seen in the United States with trump's ambition to be the ruling dictator of an autocracy. Be careful.
This process is arduous. Confusing. I focused heavily on your suggestion that our individual choices however destructive they may be appear are actually a part of the process to become whole.
I do agree with the power that lies within the shadow. Fifth year into shadow work, and I have developed a sort of shadow persona, that's an amalgamation of all my trauma. Its so good to let the little rat out once in a while, especially when people ask for it😂 (I'm not violent, just a bratty lil twink)
Maybe the video is interesting, but when you start with a quotation taken without proper research, that is inaccurate, it's hard to watch the whole video. Jung never said: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”. Jung did say in Aion: "The psychological rule says that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside, as fate. That is to say, when the individual remains undivided and does not become conscious of his inner opposite, the world must perforce act out the conflict and be torn into opposing halves."
I just don’t like the reference to dark and light which means good and bad. It just is. To me I don’t like negative and positive, good and bad - judgement. They are all real and just are there, all mixed up together one reflects the other.
The darkness is where everyone including you came from. There is no light in a mother's womb. Only darkness. The darkness is the "unrevealed". Darkness has been demonized by those attempting to oppress and control peoples minds.
Ive read a lot of Gabriella burnstein this is a lot of where she relates to and infirms about.. Facing your fear.. ect. She is so inspiring.. Your dark side is not your true self or a part of your true self. Your true self is who you were before you developed a dark side. You should overcome darkness, not embrace it.
The darkness is not meant to be killed. It is meant to be redeemed and brought back to light just like how it was before developing the dark side. Darkness is a part of you and it is symbolic. The dreams and fantasies are not meant to be taken literally. You have to find the underlying trait behind these dreams.
In reality, our dark🌑side,🤔is the unknown🕶️ part of Our🧘Selves. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's evil 🙈, but only because WE=mc2 do not 🚫 know "IT" yet, but once IT is known, "IT" should cheer, not scare US. WE=mc2 are "IT"!
Unbelievable that Zsigmond fraud and Carl young never attended university. It says a lot about their psychological journey without main stream indoctrination of what ‘they’ wanted us to learn. Their studies are way more unique and real rather than repeating someone else’s words from a book.
they both went to universities. Its difficult to determine where you got the information you're repeating. A short search into their lives show that they both went to school, got doctorates in their respective fields, then went on to become professors. Freud taught in Vienna and Jung taught in Zurich Polytechnic. Much of their work was funded by their institutions. Many of the books they wrote, as well as studies they conducted, would not have been possible without the funding's provided by these universities.
Not everyone is meant to believe in God. Only some are chosen. My husband believes he is a God. And he is. I was chosen by Jesus. Just as some have been chosen. We accept each other for our adversities.

You ever become who you really are, then turn back from your real self to your old self? Knowing that one day you may need the new self, you keep him on a shelf? I’m a combat vet…. I’m a father of 3 and a husband…. I’m not the guy I used to be, but he’s certainly in standby in the event he’s needed. I carry a pen because it’s mightier than the sword…. But I always carry a sword….. sometimes diplomacy fails, and when it does, I’m your huckleberry.
My👣shadow is light✨because my☀️Soul is🕯️Bright🎺😎!
My shadow is being average, normal, nothing special. I wasted countless opportunities in life due to lies , i lie to myself and others im more, better, that i am in fact. I would hide, change jobs , manipulate... Literally anything to face myself, my average performance, maybe a little below average... I nearly ruined my whole career, .. i almost lead myself to death not to reveal the scale of this catastrophy.
Thre.
Meet my shadow.
Avarage man.
It took me 30+ years to name it. Finally.
Im speechless. Really don't know what to do with it.
Wish me luck.
Be smarter then me. Bless you stranger.
Love you mate
Great video. Different moments for all of us, glad to have dived deep in my 18-20s on this topic and have keep those key notes of wisdom into my life still and forever.
Thank you for these videos I always listen while at work. Extremely insightful video. 👏🏽
my shadow is an absolute monster.
My goodness. Your message is great, of course, but I was mesmerized by your voice and your artistry! Thank you for sharing all those things with us, Amir.
It takes a lot of work to be a complete, well-rounded, disciplined, insightful, emotionally balanced, compassionate, spiritual person; countless hours, more intensive than any university course, a lifelong endeavour, I'm still working on it.
It's more of a journey that you can enjoy, rather end goal
Thank-you for such an awesome production.
My shadow likes Doritos.

I guess I have been wanting a fulfilling and delighted life.

Super wonderful, hugely: helpful, clarifying, supportive, inspirational and many other positivo adjectives. Thank you very very much...
Carl Jung began to call his work Analytical Psychology so he could differentiate his work from Freud. Freud continued to call his form of psychology “Psychoanalysis”. In short, Jung was so dope he outshined Siggy & the neurotics!
I had two shadows. A father and a son I believe within. They were only trying to help me. I know that now.
Superb work you've done here. Definitely one I will store and look back on from time to time..Thank you so much.
@@daisyviluck7932 IKR!! I'm glad to have found a fellow who thinks the same. I just said this exact same thing to my therapist yesterday.

Our brains can!! The limitations are yours. Created by you. Accepted by you.
That which you were is the womb of your becoming
I'm naturally a loving person.
PROVE IT !
Thank you for your inspiration to continue my journey of self discovery, bless you.

There is more danger in NOT confronting the shadow

Great video my brother!
I just don’t like the reference to dark and light which means good and bad. It just is. To me I don’t like negative and positive, good and bad - judgement. They are all real and just are there, all mixed up together one reflects the other.
Simultaneously 'One and Different'
Darker as in hidden or unexpressed rather than negative
Observation is not judgment...eliminate self importance
The darkness is where everyone including you came from. There is no light in a mother's womb. Only darkness. The darkness is the "unrevealed". Darkness has been demonized by those attempting to oppress and control peoples minds.
Think SPECTRUM.
Even with such things as love, hate; ice cold, extreme heat, etc.. 🤔
Words meant for me, right now 🙏🏼❣️🌟
Ultimate BEST video ever. Thank you for the knowledge and TRUTH.

Brilliant take on the “shadow”.
I am impressed by your tone, soothing; the depth and conciseness of your expose! And your illustrations, amazing, wjat is the software? Is it your drawing?
On the content reach, i appreciate the Yung's horizon summary that you provide here. Much love...and Integration! 🎆
This is a good video. Thank you.
I am profoundly distraught at the fact that people always describe the anima and animus wrong. It's totally weird, and no they are not archetypes.
One thoroughgoing failure is worth a lifetime of timidly not trying.
Incredible wisdom
Well done ... very well done
My shadow would make me the monster they want me to be. But my shadow would shut them the fuck up and leave me alone forever
Your dark side is not your true self or a part of your true self. Your true self is who you were before you developed a dark side. You should overcome darkness, not embrace it.
Well said. There should be a better distinction between the dark aspect of a "shadow" and simply a repressed aspect of a "shadow".
The darkness is not meant to be killed.
It is meant to be redeemed and brought back to light just like how it was before developing the dark side.
Darkness is a part of you and it is symbolic. The dreams and fantasies are not meant to be taken literally.
You have to find the underlying trait behind these dreams.
Thank you for this!
Thank you for your work bro
Thank you so much! I like to listen to your beautiful voice
Snoked weed to this, saw pictures off all The people i have harmed. Stopping now and have learned my lesson

Wow!!! How profound! And also what a treat for my eyes and ears! 🫶
Beautifully sums up Jungian theory 🙏
Unbelievable that Zsigmond fraud and Carl young never attended university. It says a lot about their psychological journey without main stream indoctrination of what ‘they’ wanted us to learn. Their studies are way more unique and real rather than repeating someone else’s words from a book.
Both were PhDs, you're just trolling I guess
they both went to universities.
Well done. Thank you : )
i am learning that my shadow needs to express himself and thats why i often feel imbalanced and anxious. What is my shadow telling me?
Not everyone is meant to believe in God. Only some are chosen. My husband believes he is a God. And he is. I was chosen by Jesus. Just as some have been chosen. We accept each other for our adversities.
Amazing content, thank you so much!
