Love mine! Much less expensive and less bulkier than an exercise bike. Has come into great use when I can't take a walk outside because of rain or snow or icey pavements! Can whole heartedly recommend. But keep in mind it is quite heavy-20 lbs!

I've used it in the doorway for older clients. It gives them something in front and behind to hold on to. Really great for our stroke program as well. I love this machine.

May 13, 2014: I did purchase an In-Motion Elliptical Pro from QVC. The price was $109 (plus tax and shipping $138). It took about 5 mins to assemble. My husband has severe arthritis in his ankles, knees and hips, and he said he loves it! I highly recommend. I bought the Pro because it is "compact" meaning it has a carry handle, and because it comes with resistance am bands to use while you pedal, AND a really neat feature is the additional pedals they put on the end of the traditional pedals which changes the dynamics of the exercise to more of a forward/backward movement. They said they came up with that idea for those who use it under their desks so they wouldn't be banging their knees as they pedal. In addition, you can pop out the display and turn it in whichever direction you prefer. Thanks for this video!

R44Inspector I went to check this model out on their website, and I noticed they showed someone pushing the extra pedals you mentioned with their toes in one of the pictures. Whenever you use any kind of biking machine, going up stairs, doing squats, etc., please remember to always push with your heels and keep your weight on your whole foot. It will put the effort on your muscles instead of your knees, and it's much better for you.

I received mine today and love it! It's great for people with short legs. I can't use recumbent bikes because the pedals are too far away. This isn't just for older people.

Thanks a lot for this video! My doctor recommended an elliptical for my knee, but they're bulky and expensive, so I was looking into this model. It's hard to trust some of the written reviews on sites because they sound like advertisements, but you guys sound genuine, so I'll trust you. :)
For anyone else who's looking to buy one of these in the US, I found it for about $90 on Walmart's website, and they say they accept returns in-store within 90 days. They have it for the same price on Amazon, but I don't know how returns would work there. Free shipping on both though, and you don't even need Prime.

I thank these two men for this machine (?) that has helped me with my knee pain for the last two years. When my knee hurts the most--I sit down and do about 10 mins. on this peddler and after icing my knee afterwards (if I use it for longer time like 1hr. watching TV) I'm good and pain free for many days and one time for a week! This brand costs about 1/3 of what other machines cost and I love it. I wish it had tiny LOCKABLE wheels as the rubber on the bottom (till it peeled off) kept it from sliding out of being in the way for tripping over! BUT it is the best, saves me pain and is easy to use.

Thanks for this great demonstration video. Even though it's eight years old, the Stamina In-Motion E1000 is still available on Amazon, but it's quite a bit more now than $90 - $100 bucks, but still well worth it. Love your channel.

Thank you for the review and suggestions of this machine. I bought mine online through Walmart. It works great. I am preparing for a Knee Replacement Surgery next month in January 2021. My brother is paralyzed on the right side from a stroke and he can use it. My Mom just turned 79 yrs old and she can use it. We all us it in the sitting position. I do have a question ? I have been sitting on the couch but my back is in the recline position so I am laying back on the couch & using it. I hope it still strengthens my quads in this position. Do you think it is ok to do it this way. Thank you & be Blessed 🙋‍♀️

Just bought one of these, partially based on your videos. Quite pleased with it so far. I do question the use of two 2x4s to elevate the front. This would seem to put stress and a bending force on the base plate, what the parts list calls a "base board". I built a ramp for ours so that it's elevated but lets the base board set flat on the ramp. Some scrap 3/4'" ply and a half hour was all it took. I've contacted the company hoping to buy 4 plastic bushings as a preemptive measure, if needed, to replace worn pedal arm bushings. This seems to be a weak link.

they have one now called the Stamina InMotion. it is slightly smaller height with a builtin handle on top and you can get it with stretch bands and hand grips for upper body work too while you work the legs either sitting or standing.

Great instructional video 😃👍! I finally assembled mine for the new year 2024 🎉…Resolution. I need to start working out again. My goal is to firm up and hopefully lose the 7-10 pounds I’ve gained recently 😟👎🏻 in my menopausal years 😅. Good luck , stay strong 💪😉, and in good health ❤

My husband and I brought ours to Africa (we're physicians) and it's holding up great! Fit in one checked baggage. Finding quality exercise equipment in West Africa for cheap is tricky, so it was more than worth the checked baggage fees.

Great review! I came across an ad for a similar device, so decided to see what they were all about. I walk a lot, but don't run or jog (too hard on the joints). I was worried about hurting my knees or falling off.
You basically answered every question I had. I have Amazon Prime, so will be ordering one today. Thank you for taking the time to review this item.

got one today at salvation army for 5 bucks.. works great...added a spacer between the leg and unit to raise the front 4 inches. (longer bolts). I will only be using it sitting due to my bad legs. this one is nice and smooth. just be careful if you start feeling any pain on the back side of your leg/hip. the piriformis muscle can start pinching the sciatic nerve. and that can be an OMG pain.

? It seems to me that raising the front of this machine puts one's back in a better position. From the videos I've observed, people tend to arch their back when they use under desk exercises machines. I would appreciate your opinion on under desk exercise machines and stress on the lower spine.
Thank you for all your great videos.

Hello, I just started using it today and I like it very much. How does the chronograph become 0? Or does it mean that it will be timed and calories burned every day when it is used every day? Or can I clear it by pressing that key? Thanks 🙏

Great review. I have the same one. After using it for a month, it developed squeeking. What do you use for that? I am doing PT now for balance, due to back & feet surgeries. The ellipitcal has tightened my muscles, but have to keep it up. I am using an aluminum 2 wheel walker & walking poles. Thanks for the info. I love all your videos.

Purchased used e1000 which was delivered today. I used a wooden bookholder to prop up the front of the e1000. I did about 40 cycles and got knee pain. I have bone on bone on my left knee...but I need to lose over 50 lb before tkr can be done. The warm pool is closed this week so I have not been able to do pool therapy or X-C ski water exercises in neck deep water. I will try using (2) 2x4....and a stiff chair cushion tomorrow and see if any improvement in cycling. I have a used Airdyne that is tough to use for my left knee...since the left knee doesn't seem able to bend far enough. I was hoping that maybe positioning the e1000 more like a recumbent angle might be better for my knee.

Once again, another informative AND entertaining video from Bob and Brad... "the most famous physical therapists on the internet" :)
Got a quick question for you. I have hip OA. I've been using a small foot peddler while sitting in a chair just to keep active but I like the elliptical action of this and my osteo surgeon actually recommended an elliptical. This is in my price range so, I'm considering getting it. I have to watch the weight bearing stuff so, I'll be sitting. I was wondering, you mention the benefit to the ankles and knees so, what's your opinion on the hips. Would using this in the seated position provide any benefit to a hip with OA or would that just be in standing position?
