Miracle of Sound was very pleased with the result. He gave VP 10 alehorns out of 10. VP answered that he could bring on the ale. They needed it after their efforts.
Geoff matched his lowest B0 three times in this one. I had no clue going in, but this was amazing. It wasn't until I'd watched it about 20 times that I remember the sound of J None crashing through the door was Layne, not artificial sound effects - or a real door being broken!
That’s the bit I didn’t see coming, even tho I’ve thought since he came on that we’re not seeing half what he can do. He’s quite an actor, and has an incredible ability to color his voice, not to mention range.
@@lkayh Since I saw him doing some ballet steps in full elf armour in the bts of Dragonborn I have waited in vain to see him dancing. Ok he jigged about a bit in Dream On but, come on Cesar, you can do better than that. :)
@@christinestromberg4057 Vocally, it seems like every so often we get a taste of something different from his usual gentle, kind of innocent-sounding voice. For example in Hoist the Colors, he starts off with that innocent sound, but then in his duet with Eli, he drops and his vocal placement is deeper in his throat-whole different timbre. Here we get some grit. In the Wicked Medley, there’s a different timbre as well. I keep saying I want an extended solo where he really lets loose, belts and struts his stuff. We finally got a serious belt in Dream On, which was awesome, especially that high. I always feel like he’s just dying to let loose but he’s holding back to stay consistent with the group-which is actually good in this kind of group; outside of solos you really need that cohesion. I’d love to see songs where each of the other members gets more of a showcase. Geoff’s incredible bass is pretty much the gateway drug here-he ropes in the views and subscribers and patrons, but I get glimpses from EVERYBODY in this group that if they had extended solos we’d be taken in by what they can do as well. Eli also has the ability to color his voice, and he’s an amazing actor. Layne is a BOSS at beatboxing, but he has that beautiful voice-we’re getting to hear more of it but still not enough. Plus I’m thinking the guy might be a one-man orchestra when he’s off on his own. Maybe everybody should have their own channel. I’d be there for it. Someone said there’s more to see with Cesar and Omar but I haven’t found it (might be on another SM?) .
I think this is the Dream Team Lineup for VoicePlay. This combination of voices and talent seems to be the best mix. I love when they have Omar and Ashley and the other guests but there just seems to be something extra special when J joins the guys.
The reason it wasn’t filmed at Pattycake was they were trying a new VR technology. It wasn’t filmed in front of a green screen. Eli made the backgrounds in Unreal Engines. That was played on a huge LCD screen that they performed in front of. They got terrific results, despite J’s plane getting there 3 hours late and the air conditioning in the studio going out. And J had a big wedding ceremony and reception a couple days later!
I was going to mention when filming it had a feel of being done in something similar to The Volume which is used in all of the current Star Wars shows.
@@richardlaundon Eli has used the program Unreal Engine for MMTM, Enemy and this. But previously he had done it in post production. It was uncanny seeing these incredible backgrounds on wall size LED screens. Unreal Engine is also the program they use for the Mandalorian. I believe it is also used in video game development.
EPIC! Just when you think they couldn't set the bar higher they fly right over that sucker and prove they aren't anywhere near their limits. Geoff hits THREE B0s in this, including that long one at the beginning. I've loved every one of their guest singers but THIS is the line up I find perfect.
I think this is the perfect lineup for VP. I was impressed with all the guys on this one. I also am happy we got to see a different side of Cesar in this one as well.
They have J returning home in this. He’s been away and now he’s coming back where he belongs. The facial tattoos and a lot of the costuming is from MMTM. Among their tattoos are runes spelling out VoicePlay. Cesar’s is on his face, Geoff has one on his forearm. This was originally done by Miracle of Sound and is well worth watching and listening to . It’s also been redone in a trio with Peyton Parrish and Earl Holloway who has an incredibly deep voice as well. The music in the outro is the karaoke track with percussion and the background vocals. It could be a piece on its own.

Just when we thought they couldn't top Nothing Else Matters...
Exactly :D

Epic is the word. Amd Cesar so fierce, singing through gritted teeth.

Awesome reaction Richard to an epic song and video.
They all seem to improve more and more. They are tremendous!
Thank you for a lovely reaction.
I love how you say “tuneful.” And, yes, Geoff is a master of his craft. Another great reaction
Cesar really did it for me in this one, he went all in.
Cesar was definitely living his best life in this.
Cesar is amazing. You should hear him belt out the song If I Loved You live back stage rehearsals. He is amazing.
Straight to my Playlist! Holy Moly.........

Agreed. Cesar and J work so well together and Eli was showing some powerhouse vocals in this one.
😂 Geoff also thinks, he can't go any deeper. We'll see... when Layne arranges the next song...😮😮😅
They were going totally berserk which was just perfect for this the rap part was something the boys added themselves ❤🏴
Epic 🔥 ❤❤❤

Yeah that long sustained low was a B0… Caesar fierce in this one!.
I am convinced that they are holding his spot open for when his tour of duty with the Navy is over. They make the perfect five.
Yes that's what I want to happen as well
I believe I saw in one of Geoff's shorts he said they have a full band now.
