  • Harmony Dance Orchestra - Yes Sir, That’s My Baby, Fox-Trot (Donaldson & Kahn) with Incidental singing by Billy Jones, Harmony 1925 (USA)
NOTE: As is often the case with dance recordings from the mid-1920s, there can be a plethora of dance bands hidden under a not-so-specific label name such as "Harmony Dance Orchestra." Quite a few well-known dance orchestras of the 1920s (Ben Selvin, California Ramblers, Fletcher Henderson, Hal Kemp, Joseph Samuels, Nathan Glantz or Lou Gold) made recordings under that pseudonym. Nevertheless, the current performance of this world-famous hit is wonderful and let's enjoy it!

This quintessential tune of the 20s is being played here in such a colourful and energetic way :-) Absolutely great! It seems we are hearing Ben Selvin this time. Not that it really matters, the music speaks for itself!

I thought too it could be one more Selvin with one more of his thousand pseudonyms :-). It's a lovely hot rendition though. Stay well, Patrick :-)
