I like the cyan blue shield that was used from late 1936 to mid-'38. That started with BOULEVARDIER FROM THE BRONX, the first MM to use Merrily We Roll Along as the theme song. Beginning in late 1938, the shield reverted back to red and stayed that was through the rest of the classic era until modern graphics replaced it 1963
Same with All This And Rabbit Stew, I would probably laugh at that short if the hunter was Elmer Fudd, the gags are funny but the fact that the hunter is a negative racial stereotype kinda throws me off the short
I find it so weird that they only use the 1937 intro 3 times but kept using the closing theme for the next year. Especiallly when the intro they used instead was much worse quality

1964*
In the 1960s, the red most known WB shield in Merrie Melodies was replaced by the pink abstract WB logo.
In 1936 it was orange red but late 1938 it was crimson red
Egghead Rides Again pretty much had Carl Stalling's "Merrily We Roll Along" nailed.
It was supposedly the first to use Boowaah sound to accompany the Zooming Shield. Supposedly that sound was created by a bass guitar pluck.

Apart from the presumed racial stereotypes, "Clean Pastures" was really a lovely little cartoon.
Same with All This And Rabbit Stew, I would probably laugh at that short if the hunter was Elmer Fudd, the gags are funny but the fact that the hunter is a negative racial stereotype kinda throws me off the short
THIS IS NOT LOVELY! Have a Devil in the Heaven on the End scene :/
"A-Lad-in Baghdad" was Actually directed by Cal Howard and Cal Dalton, not Avery.
@Loud House & Looney Tunes or The Nickelodeon Fan actually Tex Avery didn’t direct “A-Lad-In-Baghdad” and “Count Me Out”

Clean pastures sucks, aside from the racial stereotypes it’s extremely boring, nothing funny happens at all.
Clean pastures was pretty good but I respect your opinion on it
