Justin, I hear myself in you.....Just rebuilt a small home after we lost our farmhouse to fire. "Don't touch that, Be careful!, take it easy, keep it nice!" This is our first home that was newly built and I so want it to be shiny and new for as long as possible. But, I want everyone in the space to be comfortable and feel at home. So I do more wiping, have small jars of paint VERY accessible so I can do touch up as easily as I wash my hands. Its hard to see the house looking lived in (dings) but I WANT it to be lived in. A conundrum for sure. Happy move in day!
Put some of the extra paint in jars, label them with the color and the rooms it's used in, and keep it somewhere handy in the house for regular touchups.
never story anything that is flammable in ur house. Matter of fact they should be stored in a building my they selves will away form any other where u are at u dont even have to heat it much just keep it above 45F. Why 45F? B/c some things dont like it any colder.
It's a lovely looking place. i'm amazed your contractors couldn't be bothered to clean up after themselves! Over here in UK, that would be considered an unfinished job.
The tiny glass crack can be filled/repaired with a glass repair kit from an automotive store or have Safelite take care of it. Afterwards, it will be invisible as well as actually stronger than the surrounding glass.
I loved seeing Lily, the baker, admiring her oven the last two videos. This kitchen is what every homesteader bringing in crops and canning it needs-lots of counter space, stoves and ovens. I am so happy for y’all!
goof off could help get tape off the tile. i wouldnt think it would mess the tile up. perhaps test it on a spare tile with tape stuck to it. goo gone is oil based and would probably stain the tile. just some thoughts. happy day
Hi.... Justin Rhodes and Rebecca and all your children to nice to see you all love watching your video homestead. You are a good father Justin you did a great job thanks 😊 you BYE 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Lily's hair is so beautiful in this video. To all the busy bodies: if you paid any attention, everybody here wanted to store the paint downstairs. It was decided to keep it in the attic only for the time of moving in.
Id love a sit-down with Rebecca going over the little health features or choices that were made in the rebuilding of the house! I.e. i put blue light blocking light bulbs in the master bedroom in our home- so that is genius throughout the whole house. What other choices were made to customize your space? Would love that!!
rubbing alcohol or lighter fluid. let it soak into the sticky stuff 5-10seconds and rub off. both those things eat through adhesive without leaving any residue or damaging anything
I always thought your hansome oldest looked like Ɓeca and still do now, although the pics of you in your teens loo😂k just like him. Beautiful combination of love.❤
I started watching when you were doing the Great American Road Trip and then remodeling your first house. It think your daddy would be proud of what your family has accomplished.😊
Really?? House + kids does not equal a clean house. Good on you for dreaming big. I know from experience, kids equal messiness. I was one and I contributed in kid adventures, misadventures and general household messiness. My mom although patient; was generally not impressed with us. I apologize for all😊🎉
is there a full house tour with explanations as to why they decided to do certain aspects of the house? i realize I could go through and watch a whole years worth of videos but a condensed and concise version would be nice
Love the stove, backsplash, master bath and hanging lights. Putting paint in attic will ruin it, plus its a fire hazard. Wd40 will help get the tape off.
I am so excited for y’all! Making new and better memories! You are going to to look back on down the road and reminisce the good times in the old house! Always the good times over looks the not so good times! You learn and enjoy talking about it! Love this family! I wished I could turn the clock back! God bless y’all!❤I hope some day I can meet this family! You all are down to earth! NorthCarolina is the best state ever! God bless!❤️
Congratulations on getting the inspections signed off. Just because the sauna isn't hooked up, there is NO reason you couldn't do a "campout" in the new house now!
Why would you go the the effort of lugging paint pails up into the attic, when it should be stored in a cool dry place out in the workshop or storage area away from the house. What about paint for the end of the pantry cupboard in the kitchen? It doesn't look right without it.
Easy - maybe hundreds of comments. Same as holding foam bottle upside down. Just triggers intentionally putted in the video to make people more involved and make them comment more. So more food for algorithm a more money for Rhodes...
Been watching your videos for two years and i am just in awe of your family . They way your kids take on responsibility and i am getting so excited for the start of a new chapter in your beautiful new home.. i just wished your videos were longer 😊
Hello, what are you going to do with the old house? Are you going to still using the oven .Good luck in your new home , May God continue blessing you all ❤
Justin tickles me if he thinks all those kids won't be scratching up the walls! 🤣😂
A Don't keep paint in the attic as It needs to be kept cool ❤
Yes! I came to say this.
Agreed never keep paint in the main house!!!
store your paint somewhere cool and dry so when you actually need it, it is still paint, windex the glass and razorblade the paint off the glass

You should keep the extra painting the cool of the basement instead of the HEAT of the attic! JMHO!
I feel excited, and it's not my house. Congratulations almost done.

hold the foam can upside down to apply foam
Good noticing the plastic on the lights Jonah !!
I just LOVE that wood floor! It's absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!
My husband couldn’t understand how I could just sit here and watch videos all day. I have notebooks with that knowledge in them and books now.
The house is stunning, so happy for all of you.🎉🎉🎉 Love all the natural light too. Swoon!
Justin: "Just put a little, it expands" then he proceeds to use a ton himself 😂

Denatured alcohol will take that tape up in no time. And not hurt the paint or floors. It also takes up water based paint.

I’d also love to hear those details!
@@kamrieriley6411 Me too!
Also make sure the dryer is actually connected to the vent. A lot of times they do not connect them for you and you end up blowing lint everywhere.
Looking nice congratulations 🎊 on your new home😂😂❤❤
Beautiful home !! well worth the wait and you will enjoy for years to come !

You can use windshield repair glue to fix the broken glass door.
I am beyond excited for you all! A long long road you’ve had! ❤
Congratulations on getting the inspections signed off. Just because the sauna isn't hooked up, there is NO reason you couldn't do a "campout" in the new house now!
BEAUTIFUL !!! Tell us more about those awesome lights!
It's coming & since your videos are sent out late, you are actually moving in Tomorrow, 9/6
Wish we could see it real time
😊
I'm so excited for you guys. The places look amazing!
It's been so long since I've watched. Are Justin and Rebecca's health matters better? Justin looks so much better and getting around so good!

I loved the look of the old farmhouse better. I love old and authentic..it last and it's all natural. This is really, really nice though.
Been watching your videos for two years and i am just in awe of your family . They way your kids take on responsibility and i am getting so excited for the start of a new chapter in your beautiful new home.. i just wished your videos were longer 😊

"Goo Gone" to remove the tape or sticky glue.

Whoa.
That's a beautiful house.
Wow your home looks really nice good Rebeca congratulations I’m on the tail end on my new home build will be finished soon ❤
🎉 so exited for you guys ❤
Your home is beautiful
JUSTIN, you need to get some Goo Gone to get rid of tape or sticker items.
I’m so happy for you and your family. This is an answer to prayers.Blessings to you all.
I love your kitchen ❤
It looks beautiful
heman is gonna go to freezer camp
The house is gorgeous. I love all kitchen cabinets and color
To get up the left over tape and sticky residue use a washcloth and lemon/lime/orange juice. It will break it down super fast.
I hope you are grateful for this home. Hopefully you'll keep it clean and organized.
Are you serious ?
@@georgeabbott1329 Yes.
not a chance
Nice looking reno❤
Hello, what are you going to do with the old house? Are you going to still using the oven .Good luck in your new home , May God continue blessing you all ❤
Thank God for RUclips, Justin. Yeah, able to do it.
Love the house! Can't wait to see it finished. Use a hairdryer on that tape and any stickers you need to remove.
Super happy for you guys…
Hey, the music is much louder than the dialogue.
Ppl tell them literally every video but they never do anything about it
@@jessicah2345 people would stop commenting about it ;-). More comments more attention and more money ;-)
Tell Justin to get ready to carry Rebekah over the threshold!!!!!! 💥
awesome !! you should tell us all THANK YOU for helping ya'll buy this new home
Spray foam, hold the can upside down.
I'm with the kids on that one.
No reason not to move in if you're just waiting for the sauna.
That's kinda ridiculous.
Your focus is off. Have you addressed this already?
fantastic news
Wow, that kitchen is massive!
You all deserve such a beautiful home!
Congratulations on your house inspection
Use WD 40 for stubborn stickers,As a painter ,usually we come back after you move for touch ups 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Also don’t want paint freezing.
climbing a ladder, double fisting paint buckets is wilddd
barefoot!
Those kids gonna have that house so messed up in 6 months.
Congratulations! 🎊🎈🎉
🇨🇦✨👋🏼. Air dryer for the sticky tape or stickers. Heated up, it Always work. ❤
I would have done wire mesh in with the foam to keep mice out of that hole!!
Looks great.
Excited for you guys! -Mike
Use white spirit to get the sticky tape up
I hope there will be some soft furnishings so it's not so echoy. Area rugs maybe? Looks great!
WD40 gets ANY sticker goo or adhesive off stuff! But be careful, then you have to get the WD40 off. Do a test. It works like magic.
STUCK TAPE: not that you read these anymore. Hair dryer on high heat and reheat the tape and it will loosen the glue and come up easier. yw
Hot air rises so will go into the attic
Lemon essential oil to take off sticky tape.
EAGER!!!! 🎉
🇫🇮 sauna 👍
Will you be hiring a housekeeper ?
What a torture that is to think you can go sleep in there now & them wont thanks to the sauna not being ready. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Water pressure looks weak.
WOW
Use wd40 to get the tape of the floor
❤❤❤❤❤
