You can join the merchant Navy with either of the courses , Btech ME, Bsc Nautical science or DNS. And can opt for any company and especially who promotes safe working conditions for women seafarers . Nowadays almost every company promotes for women cadets/ officers on board and there are very strict rules regarding the safety. So dont worry about that

Just check whether your vision is 6/6 or not. Also if you have less power then might go for Lasik surgery and no symptoms of color blindness
