If nothing else, you absolutely MUST watch the princess version of Bad Alive! They had a tea party for Winwin's birthday where they all dressed up as Disney princesses and then they danced Bad Alive in them. It's ICONIC.
wayv is actually the shortest unit in nct 😂 they’re all 5’7-5’8 besides winwin and lucas and ten is very much in superm because of his dancing, for me he’s the second best dancer in SM behind taemin. one of the best dancers in kpop without a doubt

ten actually debuted as a rapper in the first ever nct mv - nct u's the 7th sense. so basically he was the one of the first five members of nct to debut ever. but he's evolved into this beast of a main vocalist now lol, i'd recommend checking nct u - baby don't stop to hear more of him since thats just two members (live performance is even better). during kick back promos when lucas and winwin had jobs in china, ten even covered some lucas rap parts. his lower register is one of my favourite things ever. also hope u can check out ten's solo station "paint me naked" whenever have time :)

WayV is known for being the sexy NCT unit. And I have to say, they're amazing. I love all the 23 NCT boys, but WayV has a special place in my heart. They're my fave unit and they didn't deserve all the crap the happened to them this year. And in Miracle the other one who is missing, is WinWin (the one you though cute), he's in China acting. He's really cute, but he actually one of the oldest in WayV. Anyway, I love them.
The things that made me fell in love with WayV are their dancing skills, distinct vocals, and most especially their harmonizing in R&B, rock and hiphop. Their music is on a completely different level.
@@Yetti. Yeah, and that too. 😁 Among the NCT sub-units, they're the group that does the mature/sexy stuff. And I like that. Their sound is also distinct from other K-pop songs, not only because they're sung in Mandarin but their sounds have some Western influence as well. As far as I know, some of their songs are produced/co-written by American songwriters. Hope you check out their other MVs.
Ten is the secondary/ one of the lead singers along with Kun, XiaoJun is the only MAIN vocalist, I know you like Ten but be real, just like XiaoJun is an amazing dancer but he isn’t the main dancer, Ten’s a great singer but you can’t call him a main vocalist, the main vocalist of each group is the best vocalist, XiaoJun’s skill level is clearly higher, ALSO, in all the interviews, when asked, the members all agree XiaoJun is the main vocalist, XiaoJun’s vocal tone & skills are magical, like really rare

However, main vocals is not only about who has the most powerful voice but also whose vocals are utilized the most in their songs and it's pretty much even between the three of them - XJ, Kun and Ten - but of course XJ does the highest notes. It's just like how they have two main dancers - YY and Ten, 2 main rappers - YY and Hendery and 2 centers - Ten and Lucas (before he left). 127 is the same with 4 main vocals - DY, JH, HC and Taeil.

WayV is real so underrated, Like sometimes I feel like SM treat WayV like the red-headed step child. I know initially it was because of the tension between Korea and China, so they had to distance themselves from the NCT Brand as a whole, but they went a little overboard. Like member couldn't even talk about other members on live, it was wild. It also caused like a division in the fandom, with like people saying that WayV isn't NCT and they are their own group and should have a separate fan colour and when they cam out and said the fan colour was the same as nct. It was just weird so a lot of people who viewed WayV as NCT felt really alienated, and the support became more casual. But I feel like since not 2020, its kinda settled, so I'm happy. Cause I truly love like every single member of NCT, they all have their own unique charms and quirks
Winwin is also not in Miracle because he was and is shooting a drama in China so he has to be absent from WayV’s promotion since earlier this year. Ten is also in China now so I’m guessing they shoot this right after his solo station & duet (with Yangyang) promotions. And I agree with you on the Lucas situation, whether he is in the right or wrong, I don’t really mind it. If he was a western artist, there wouldn’t have been a hiatus in the first place because it is not something to put behind the bar for.
😄 If you'd like to see the sweeter side of WayV, ya know in order to balance out 'Love Talk' and 'Bad Alive'... I'd suggest watching 'Let Me Love U' and 'Dream Launch'. Both are often overlooked by reactors, but they are seriously adorable!
Since you asked I would suggest the MV for ‘moon walk’. Ten and Yangyangs ‘low low’ possibly the live stage for ‘Nectar’ (because we like to watch you blush), Ten and Winwin’s dance cover of ‘Lovely’, and if you like a ballad, the Chinese version of Kun and Xiaojun’s ‘Back to You’. (The English version is also lovely but the Chinese is so much more beautifully poetic).
You immediately picked out Kun in the first two MVs (He was blonde in Kick Back and blue hair in Bad Alive). His vocals are amazing! I'm Ten biased but ALL the WayV members are so beautiful and talented. I've seen LET ME LOVE YOU MV recommended already but it really showcases the members duality. It is straight up sweet boyfriend vibes. Win Win is the other member missing in last MV. He is in China working. I miss them all together.
KUN! he is my Bias in WayV. He's amazing at everything he does, like this man can do no wrong. Ten just effortlessly drips sex appeal and his dancing is definitely top notch. He's actually how I discovered NCT. His dance cover to Taki Taki made me deep dive into the world of NCT, and that's a black hole I have never been able to escape. They're definitely in my top 5 overall Kpop groups.

Ten in Bad Alive literally makes me cry...... Why is he like that...... He's my WayV bias for sure but that alone makes him come for my overall NCT bias spot...... He is too much and I hate it but I love it lol. It also helps that Ten loves cats because I'm a huge cat person and his kitties are soooo cute! SM and all of Kpop owes a big Thank u to Ten’s grandma for being a huge fan of Super Junior (SM guy group before EXO) and convincing him to audition SM knew they had a star with Ten. There is reason Ten debuted so early in NCT U 7th sense which was before 127’s Firetruck. WayV didn’t debut until 2019
I hope to see WayV all together again 🥺, hopefully Lucas ends his hiatus soon and WinWin, can finish all his plans and commitments in China, acting, modeling, brands, etc.
At 31:10 the member who rapped 'want you to make it clap' is Yangyang. He's the maknae of WayV (born in 2000). Him and Ten have a unit song together (LowLow) really recommend that one. Ten and Yangyang are best friends in general, they're such an iconic duo and they're both language geniuses.

WayV sneaked up on me. I kind of see them as the posh boys of NCT. In a lot of ways they are more cosmopolitan than the other units. I started with liking Xiaojun and Lucas in Make a WIsh, WinWin, YangYang and Ten in 90s Love, Hendery in Work It and Kun in From Home. I can recommend the Kick Back ep - it's got some good bangers like Action Figure, and an absolutely gorgeous ballad from Ten, Xiaojun, and Ten called Horizon. Kun and Xiaojun had a lovely duet called Back to You this year. I wish Moonwalk would be a Bond theme or something. It has that epic drama to it. I'm convinced the lyrics to Love Talk were written in an apocalyptic future where the only book is a 1970s pickup manual. It's a great song, but the lyrics are hilarious.
It's kinda hard to explain what exactly WayV is, Kpop vs Cpop. In a way, they're like a bridge between the two. The thing is, the definition of Kpop and Cpop aren't really defined and its more than what language and ethnicity the members are. I mean, we don't call the Korean version of Little Mix's "Wings" a Kpop song just because they recorded it in Korean. So In WayV's case, I don't think their music is definition of what "Cpop" is or sounds like. In fact, I'd say their music is more Kpop style. They are like a Kpop in the sense that they are a sub unit of a Kpop group, Produced/Trained by a Korean company, all their music/album/filming is done through the same channels a Kpop group is done through. BUT, none of their members are Korean, their music is often sung in Mandarin and their target market is Mainly China (but they have seem to shift some focus to outside of China recently). So, long story short of it, WayV is not exactly Kpop but not exactly Cpop either. I tend to say they are Cpop because I just don't want to fight with people over it. Every time someone mentions WayV in a Kpop list or Kpop topic there's always someone else in there being like "umm they're not Kpop..." But really, they're a bit of both. WayV is its own breed. As for "Bad Alive" Music video being fairly simple. It's because the song wasn't the title track. It's a B-side that they decided to make a MV for. So it wasn't the main song that was being promoted off their album. Same goes for "Love Talk". And for Love Talk, the Chinese version is definitely more poetic and less of a Hoe song than the english version. Now the Demo Version...that's another entirely different animal. For Miracle, yes Lucas isn't in it because he's on hiatus while his situation is getting straightened out. Winwin is also missing because he's currently in China filming a drama. He's the one who used to promote with NCT 127. Miracle is only a track video because it's essentially released as a teaser for the upcoming NCT 2021 album.

The fun thing about WayV, is that they all speak so many different languages, they confuse even themselves when casually speaking. There's videos of them slipping into Thai, English, Mandarian, Cantonese, Korean (depends how long they've been to SM's main building). Then we have Baby YangYang who confuses everyone and speaks German. We can't even excuse the lyrics of their songs by saying "Oh, they don't understand English well enough to understand the context that was said in." Because they do understand exactly the context they've said! I love how chaotic they are. Poor Kun didn't really know what he was agreeing to when he said "Sure, I'll be the leader of WayV."

I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED!!! Wayv are THE unit for me. I like and follow all the units but if i have to be honest i am a little bit biased towards Wayv( also my literal ult bias in all of kpop is here). There is just something about their style that drew me in and kept me there. And yes, other than Lucas, Winwin(the cute guy) is missing from this comeback since he is in china at the moment filming a drama.

I agree with your take on the whole Lucas's situation! I never really get affected by any scandal they get into because I am very much aware that I don't know celebrities personally and I follow their work for their music/dramas anyway, not their personality. Unless it has been proven that they did something against the law then obviously I would be disappointed. But if the accusation against Lucas were true however, it just shows that he is a bad boyfriend or whatever which has nothing to do with me hahah and y'know I just hope he learns and grows. If it is false then I wish the accuser gets charged accordingly. That's it. But I do miss WayV as a whole group and I hope they will be back together soon!!
It's more than him being a bad boyfriend honestly bc it means he took advantage of his celebrity and the fan-idol power imbalance. If the main allegations (the one he had acknowledged so far) are indeed entirely true, he basically sought out girls from his own fandom bc he knew they would easily comply. It's not a crime but it's still very questionable, considering what they said he did in those accusations. However I do believe that him fucking up doesn't mean he is an overall terrible person/a fake. People are not black and white. He did admit to it and apologized after all. The bare minimum, but it's a good step nonetheless. I just hope he is making amends and is genuine about wanting to better himself. The point of holding people accountable is so that they recognize their wrongdoings, understand and accept the consequences, learn from it, and do better. Not to just drag him endlessly and wish him the worst for a mistake he made when he was 20.

Plus SM make all their artist apologize even if they did it or not look at taeyong and his bullying scandal he was made to apologize on social media and the later it was proven that taeyong was innocent. So lucas apologizing on his ig page isn't admitting he did it or not it just shows that SM gonna make you apologize.
@@ijaejae 1) lucas literally said he was sorry for his wrongdoings (his own words) in his letter 2) taeyong did apologize BUT sm was also releasing a bunch of statements that time about how they were investigating, looking into old school records, how taeyong requested not to take legal action against anyone, and that if malicious rumors persisted after taeyong had atoned they would sue (he was apparently guilty of one thing of all the accusations but sorted it out w the victim). Contrary to popular belief, sm doesn't ~always~ treat scandals the same way. The fact that taeyong didn't go on hiatus despite his scandal also proves that.
@@misterapplesyd Yeah, they handled it completely differently to how they /usually/ deal with "false allegations". Like, there was literally no pushback from SM -> there was an official apology from the company, no talk of any investigations on their part and they put him on hiatus immediately (currently 4 months and counting). Also his apology said his past behavior was wrong and irresponsible, which is way more specific than the vague "sorry I made you guys worry" that we get after most controversies. All of that combined really makes me think there's at least some truth to the allegations. I seriously doubt SM would have responded this way if it was all false, especially considering Lucas has always been one of the group's most popular members.

If it were mostly false, why would they let a bunch of lies ruin one of the group's most popular members, one they've invested in for years? I mean Lucas is almost always booked. For me personally- the vocal arrangement in WayV is my favorite out of all the units Dream is currently my favorite unit and Haechan is my favorite NCT vocalist along with Jaehyun And even tho 127 and Dream both have incredible vocalist WayV’s vocals genuinely hit different😭😭😭

Yes, the guy you recognize is WinWin who is an original member of NCT-127. You will see him as a member of NCT-127 until WayV's debut in 2019. WinWin is currently promoting in China so that is why he was not in "Miracle." Technically WayV debuted with the Mandarin version of "Regular," which was also NCT-127's song. But "Take Off" is considered their official debut song because it was their first release that was all theirs. Because WayV (which stands for We Are Your Vision in English) is part of NCT, NCT's whole dream concept is also part of WayV's storyline and concept. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state. Some fans who are into SM group theories have also speculated that NCT's storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. You just have to come to accept that everything you see from SM will be connected to SM's Culture Universe, and it's all part of a giant drama or movie -- it's just another chapter in the story. Since the creation of SuperM, where they are now taking members from each of SM's most popular groups and creating an Avengers supergroup, I think that was SM's first indication that from now on we need to pay attention, because all of its groups' MVs are somehow connected. If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with "Moonwalk" and I think "Moonwalk" is pretty much a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" are also part of that story. With NCT's dream concept, they could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories. I even see parts of the story in "Moonwalk" that could be connected to SuperM's "100" and "One (Monster & Infinity)" MVs and EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" MV. For example, we also see SuperM in a spaceship or space capsule or on a space station in "100," which I think is connected to the space theme in "Moonwalk." In the MV for "Moonwalk" you will see Ten become weightless as he floats inside what looks like a space capsule, etc. I think the apocalyptic scenes you see happening in the beginning of the "Moonwalk" performance, and what you will see in the MV, are connected to the fact that at the end of EXO's "Obsession" MV we see the world burning as the EXO members battle their alter ego clones X-EXO for control. And, I think it also is connected to the fact that we see the world burning as if an apocalypse is happening in Lay's "Sheep" Alan Walker relift version MV. (Lay is the Chinese member of EXO.) I also don't think WayV are on Earth in the story in their "Moonwalk" MV, or at least not a version of Earth that we are familiar with. I think WayV may be either in a dream universe or in another time and place in the future. Just like how EXO is thought to be traveling between time periods and alternate realities in their search for the Tree of Life and quest to stop the Red Force, etc. As you saw, Ten and Lucas have a much larger role in most of WayV's MVs and performances. For example, they seem to get a large part of the focus in "Moonwalk" and "Kick Back." I think this might be because they are members of SuperM and they are coming to gather the other WayV members to bring them into the fight. I think "Kick Back" can be interpreted as being about WayV taking back control and fighting back against the Red Force, etc. And, if you watch the MV for "Moonwalk," you will see why Ten has a solo in their live performance, because this is his solo part in the MV as well. So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. It's all part of SM's Universe. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee's storyline. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen. As part of NCT's Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, not only do the members speak, Mandarin, Korean and English, but Ten is from Thailand so he speaks Thai, Lucas is from Hong Kong so he speaks Cantonese and a little Thai because his mom is Thai; Hendrey is from Macau China so he also speaks Cantonese; and Yangyang is Taiwanese, but he grew up in Germany, so he also speaks German. WayV is a very international group that speaks many languages, but they all have Chinese heritage which is why SM chose them to be a part of this group. So, pretty much all of WayV's songs are in Mandarin with a few English lyrics and words mixed in. (Except when it's an English version, such as "Bad Alive" or their all English version of "Love Talk," or their new song "Miracle", or if you happen to pick the Korean version of "Turn Back Time.") LOL Fun fact: As you heard, the MV for WayV's "Love Talk" is an all English version, but if you listen to the album you will see there is a Mandarin version of the song, as well. SM just chose to only make an MV for the English version. And the reason why "Bad Alive" doesn't have subs is because, although the song is primarily in English, there are lines that are in Korean and Mandarin. If you enjoy WayV's dancing, you really need to see their dance practice videos for "Moonwalk", "Take Off," "Kick Back," and "Bad Alive." You should consider pairing your reactions to their MVs with a reaction to the dance practice that goes with the song, because almost everything any of the groups within NCT does will have a dance practice video to go with it. NCT is known for their dancing and their impressive choreography.

There's your warning, but also... you're welcome lol. Winwin is missing as well, he's been in China since March. Him and Lucas went to China together for separate schedules. Lucas filmed Keep running and Winwin is acting. So since he's over there he couldn't really participate in the songs for this CB. As far as the Lucas thing. All of it is so sus to begin with. Lumis (his fans) hired a PI to look into the users that accused him of things and found so much stuff! I personally think he's innocent. But at the end of the day no one knows. We are just hoping he will be cleared in full sooner rather than later (especially since his birthday is next month :( ) But even if he is guilty, he didn't commit any crimes. So he still wouldn't deserve the treatment he's getting right now. It still shouldn't warrant the punishment he's getting. But most of all I just hope he's ok. Loved this! I really like WayV, I like their vibe and sound. Totally had the same reaction to Love Talk! I have also enjoyed watching how they have matured into their sound and concept. Their behind the scenes and variety content is also really good. It’s clear that they consider each other as family.
i haven't thought about the lucas situation in a while because i've come to accept the fact that he might just be gone... but i think you're absolutely 100% right about it. whether he was a "crap boyfriend" or not, that shouldn't end his entire career. unfortunately, kpop idols are entirely ruled by their own reputation and the korean general public (and international stans) care /a lot/ about reputation and (i hate this word but) cancelling idols for things they may or may not be guilty of, even if there's no concrete evidence. this idea of siding 1000% with an alleged victim to prove some kind of superiority is something i only really see amongst stan culture and that's a big reason why i've walked away from things like stan twitter. i actually wrote an article about the situation to get all my thoughts out and a lot of what you said about lucas (albeit briefly) was very similar, if not exactly the same as what i wrote in that piece. at a certain point you have to separate art from artist or you'd have to unstan the whole industry. that's just how it is. no one is perfect, and i personally don't expect anyone to be, even idols. idk this is a long comment no one will probably see but oh well, there's my honest opinion on it take it or leave it idc

Also I'm so happy WayV has piqued your interest, they do that! They are genuinely INSANELY talented young men that deserve the world and they keep being dealt kinda a bum hand. Check out their Rainbow V series which is a series of self produced performances, and maybe some of their Play V things, which tends to be covers or little snippets of things they choreographed or wrote. You could get lost in the official WayV channel on youtube. Their full MVs are great, of course. Dream Plan is also very good which is their debut miniseries/variety show if you get that invested in them.

ten actually debuted as a rapper in the first ever nct mv - nct u's the 7th sense. so basically he was the one of the first five members of nct to debut ever. but he's evolved into this beast of a main vocalist now lol, i'd recommend checking nct u - baby don't stop to hear more of him since thats just two members (live performance is even better). during kick back promos when lucas and winwin had jobs in china, ten even covered some lucas rap parts. his lower register is one of my favourite things ever. also hope u can check out ten's solo station "paint me naked" whenever have time :)

Wayv has one of the best discographies in every industry they're in honestly. Their bsides are masterpieces
WayV is known for being the sexy NCT unit. And I have to say, they're amazing. I love all the 23 NCT boys, but WayV has a special place in my heart. They're my fave unit and they didn't deserve all the crap the happened to them this year.
And in Miracle the other one who is missing, is WinWin (the one you though cute), he's in China acting. He's really cute, but he actually one of the oldest in WayV. Anyway, I love them.
The things that made me fell in love with WayV are their dancing skills, distinct vocals, and most especially their harmonizing in R&B, rock and hiphop. Their music is on a completely different level.

Their sound is also distinct from other K-pop songs, not only because they're sung in Mandarin but their sounds have some Western influence as well. As far as I know, some of their songs are produced/co-written by American songwriters.

However, main vocals is not only about who has the most powerful voice but also whose vocals are utilized the most in their songs and it's pretty much even between the three of them - XJ, Kun and Ten - but of course XJ does the highest notes. It's just like how they have two main dancers - YY and Ten, 2 main rappers - YY and Hendery and 2 centers - Ten and Lucas (before he left).
127 is the same with 4 main vocals - DY, JH, HC and Taeil.

WayV is real so underrated, Like sometimes I feel like SM treat WayV like the red-headed step child. I know initially it was because of the tension between Korea and China, so they had to distance themselves from the NCT Brand as a whole, but they went a little overboard. Like member couldn't even talk about other members on live, it was wild. It also caused like a division in the fandom, with like people saying that WayV isn't NCT and they are their own group and should have a separate fan colour and when they cam out and said the fan colour was the same as nct. It was just weird so a lot of people who viewed WayV as NCT felt really alienated, and the support became more casual. But I feel like since not 2020, its kinda settled, so I'm happy. Cause I truly love like every single member of NCT, they all have their own unique charms and quirks
Winwin is also not in Miracle because he was and is shooting a drama in China so he has to be absent from WayV’s promotion since earlier this year. Ten is also in China now so I’m guessing they shoot this right after his solo station & duet (with Yangyang) promotions. And I agree with you on the Lucas situation, whether he is in the right or wrong, I don’t really mind it. If he was a western artist, there wouldn’t have been a hiatus in the first place because it is not something to put behind the bar for.
😄 If you'd like to see the sweeter side of WayV, ya know in order to balance out 'Love Talk' and 'Bad Alive'... I'd suggest watching 'Let Me Love U' and 'Dream Launch'. Both are often overlooked by reactors, but they are seriously adorable!

I'm Ten biased but ALL the WayV members are so beautiful and talented. I've seen LET ME LOVE YOU MV recommended already but it really showcases the members duality. It is straight up sweet boyfriend vibes. Win Win is the other member missing in last MV. He is in China working. I miss them all together.

KUN! he is my Bias in WayV. He's amazing at everything he does, like this man can do no wrong. Ten just effortlessly drips sex appeal and his dancing is definitely top notch. He's actually how I discovered NCT. His dance cover to Taki Taki made me deep dive into the world of NCT, and that's a black hole I have never been able to escape. They're definitely in my top 5 overall Kpop groups.

At 31:10 the member who rapped 'want you to make it clap' is Yangyang. He's the maknae of WayV (born in 2000). Him and Ten have a unit song together (LowLow) really recommend that one. Ten and Yangyang are best friends in general, they're such an iconic duo and they're both language geniuses.

WayV sneaked up on me. I kind of see them as the posh boys of NCT. In a lot of ways they are more cosmopolitan than the other units.
I started with liking Xiaojun and Lucas in Make a WIsh, WinWin, YangYang and Ten in 90s Love, Hendery in Work It and Kun in From Home. I can recommend the Kick Back ep - it's got some good bangers like Action Figure, and an absolutely gorgeous ballad from Ten, Xiaojun, and Ten called Horizon. Kun and Xiaojun had a lovely duet called Back to You this year.
I wish Moonwalk would be a Bond theme or something. It has that epic drama to it.
I'm convinced the lyrics to Love Talk were written in an apocalyptic future where the only book is a 1970s pickup manual. It's a great song, but the lyrics are hilarious.

It's kinda hard to explain what exactly WayV is, Kpop vs Cpop. In a way, they're like a bridge between the two. The thing is, the definition of Kpop and Cpop aren't really defined and its more than what language and ethnicity the members are. I mean, we don't call the Korean version of Little Mix's "Wings" a Kpop song just because they recorded it in Korean. So In WayV's case, I don't think their music is definition of what "Cpop" is or sounds like. In fact, I'd say their music is more Kpop style. They are like a Kpop in the sense that they are a sub unit of a Kpop group, Produced/Trained by a Korean company, all their music/album/filming is done through the same channels a Kpop group is done through. BUT, none of their members are Korean, their music is often sung in Mandarin and their target market is Mainly China (but they have seem to shift some focus to outside of China recently). So, long story short of it, WayV is not exactly Kpop but not exactly Cpop either.
I tend to say they are Cpop because I just don't want to fight with people over it. Every time someone mentions WayV in a Kpop list or Kpop topic there's always someone else in there being like "umm they're not Kpop..." But really, they're a bit of both. WayV is its own breed.
As for "Bad Alive" Music video being fairly simple. It's because the song wasn't the title track. It's a B-side that they decided to make a MV for. So it wasn't the main song that was being promoted off their album. Same goes for "Love Talk". And for Love Talk, the Chinese version is definitely more poetic and less of a Hoe song than the english version. Now the Demo Version...that's another entirely different animal.
For Miracle, yes Lucas isn't in it because he's on hiatus while his situation is getting straightened out. Winwin is also missing because he's currently in China filming a drama. He's the one who used to promote with NCT 127. Miracle is only a track video because it's essentially released as a teaser for the upcoming NCT 2021 album.

The fun thing about WayV, is that they all speak so many different languages, they confuse even themselves when casually speaking. There's videos of them slipping into Thai, English, Mandarian, Cantonese, Korean (depends how long they've been to SM's main building). Then we have Baby YangYang who confuses everyone and speaks German. We can't even excuse the lyrics of their songs by saying "Oh, they don't understand English well enough to understand the context that was said in." Because they do understand exactly the context they've said! I love how chaotic they are. Poor Kun didn't really know what he was agreeing to when he said "Sure, I'll be the leader of WayV."

I never really get affected by any scandal they get into because I am very much aware that I don't know celebrities personally and I follow their work for their music/dramas anyway, not their personality. Unless it has been proven that they did something against the law then obviously I would be disappointed. It's more than him being a bad boyfriend honestly bc it means he took advantage of his celebrity and the fan-idol power imbalance. If the main allegations (the one he had acknowledged so far) are indeed entirely true, he basically sought out girls from his own fandom bc he knew they would easily comply. It's not a crime but it's still very questionable, considering what they said he did in those accusations. However I do believe that him fucking up doesn't mean he is an overall terrible person/a fake. People are not black and white. He did admit to it and apologized after all. The bare minimum, but it's a good step nonetheless. I just hope he is making amends and is genuine about wanting to better himself. The point of holding people accountable is so that they recognize their wrongdoings, understand and accept the consequences, learn from it, and do better. Not to just drag him endlessly and wish him the worst for a mistake he made when he was 20.

Plus SM make all their artist apologize even if they did it or not look at taeyong and his bullying scandal he was made to apologize on social media and the later it was proven that taeyong was innocent. So lucas apologizing on his ig page isn't admitting he did it or not it just shows that SM gonna make you apologize.
@@ijaejae 1) lucas literally said he was sorry for his wrongdoings (his own words) in his letter 2) taeyong did apologize BUT sm was also releasing a bunch of statements that time about how they were investigating, looking into old school records, how taeyong requested not to take legal action against anyone, and that if malicious rumors persisted after taeyong had atoned they would sue (he was apparently guilty of one thing of all the accusations but sorted it out w the victim). Contrary to popular belief, sm doesn't ~always~ treat scandals the same way. The fact that taeyong didn't go on hiatus despite his scandal also proves that.
@@misterapplesyd Yeah, they handled it completely differently to how they /usually/ deal with "false allegations". Like, there was literally no pushback from SM -> there was an official apology from the company, no talk of any investigations on their part and they put him on hiatus immediately (currently 4 months and counting). Also his apology said his past behavior was wrong and irresponsible, which is way more specific than the vague "sorry I made you guys worry" that we get after most controversies. All of that combined really makes me think there's at least some truth to the allegations. I seriously doubt SM would have responded this way if it was all false, especially considering Lucas has always been one of the group's most popular members.

Yes, the guy you recognize is WinWin who is an original member of NCT-127. You will see him as a member of NCT-127 until WayV's debut in 2019. WinWin is currently promoting in China so that is why he was not in "Miracle."
Technically WayV debuted with the Mandarin version of "Regular," which was also NCT-127's song. But "Take Off" is considered their official debut song because it was their first release that was all theirs.
Because WayV (which stands for We Are Your Vision in English) is part of NCT, NCT's whole dream concept is also part of WayV's storyline and concept. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state. Some fans who are into SM group theories have also speculated that NCT's storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. You just have to come to accept that everything you see from SM will be connected to SM's Culture Universe, and it's all part of a giant drama or movie -- it's just another chapter in the story.
Since the creation of SuperM, where they are now taking members from each of SM's most popular groups and creating an Avengers supergroup, I think that was SM's first indication that from now on we need to pay attention, because all of its groups' MVs are somehow connected. If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with "Moonwalk" and I think "Moonwalk" is pretty much a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" are also part of that story. With NCT's dream concept, they could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories.
I even see parts of the story in "Moonwalk" that could be connected to SuperM's "100" and "One (Monster & Infinity)" MVs and EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" MV. For example, we also see SuperM in a spaceship or space capsule or on a space station in "100," which I think is connected to the space theme in "Moonwalk." In the MV for "Moonwalk" you will see Ten become weightless as he floats inside what looks like a space capsule, etc.
I think the apocalyptic scenes you see happening in the beginning of the "Moonwalk" performance, and what you will see in the MV, are connected to the fact that at the end of EXO's "Obsession" MV we see the world burning as the EXO members battle their alter ego clones X-EXO for control. And, I think it also is connected to the fact that we see the world burning as if an apocalypse is happening in Lay's "Sheep" Alan Walker relift version MV. (Lay is the Chinese member of EXO.)
I also don't think WayV are on Earth in the story in their "Moonwalk" MV, or at least not a version of Earth that we are familiar with. I think WayV may be either in a dream universe or in another time and place in the future. Just like how EXO is thought to be traveling between time periods and alternate realities in their search for the Tree of Life and quest to stop the Red Force, etc.
As you saw, Ten and Lucas have a much larger role in most of WayV's MVs and performances. For example, they seem to get a large part of the focus in "Moonwalk" and "Kick Back." I think this might be because they are members of SuperM and they are coming to gather the other WayV members to bring them into the fight. I think "Kick Back" can be interpreted as being about WayV taking back control and fighting back against the Red Force, etc. And, if you watch the MV for "Moonwalk," you will see why Ten has a solo in their live performance, because this is his solo part in the MV as well.
So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. It's all part of SM's Universe. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee's storyline. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
As part of NCT's Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, not only do the members speak, Mandarin, Korean and English, but Ten is from Thailand so he speaks Thai, Lucas is from Hong Kong so he speaks Cantonese and a little Thai because his mom is Thai; Hendrey is from Macau China so he also speaks Cantonese; and Yangyang is Taiwanese, but he grew up in Germany, so he also speaks German. WayV is a very international group that speaks many languages, but they all have Chinese heritage which is why SM chose them to be a part of this group.
So, pretty much all of WayV's songs are in Mandarin with a few English lyrics and words mixed in. (Except when it's an English version, such as "Bad Alive" or their all English version of "Love Talk," or their new song "Miracle", or if you happen to pick the Korean version of "Turn Back Time.") LOL
Fun fact: As you heard, the MV for WayV's "Love Talk" is an all English version, but if you listen to the album you will see there is a Mandarin version of the song, as well. SM just chose to only make an MV for the English version.
And the reason why "Bad Alive" doesn't have subs is because, although the song is primarily in English, there are lines that are in Korean and Mandarin.
If you enjoy WayV's dancing, you really need to see their dance practice videos for "Moonwalk", "Take Off," "Kick Back," and "Bad Alive." You should consider pairing your reactions to their MVs with a reaction to the dance practice that goes with the song, because almost everything any of the groups within NCT does will have a dance practice video to go with it. NCT is known for their dancing and their impressive choreography.

As far as the Lucas thing. All of it is so sus to begin with. Lumis (his fans) hired a PI to look into the users that accused him of things and found so much stuff! I personally think he's innocent. But at the end of the day no one knows. We are just hoping he will be cleared in full sooner rather than later (especially since his birthday is next month :( ) But even if he is guilty, he didn't commit any crimes. So he still wouldn't deserve the treatment he's getting right now. It still shouldn't warrant the punishment he's getting. But most of all I just hope he's ok. Because I know this must be so difficult for him.

i haven't thought about the lucas situation in a while because i've come to accept the fact that he might just be gone... but i think you're absolutely 100% right about it. whether he was a "crap boyfriend" or not, that shouldn't end his entire career. unfortunately, kpop idols are entirely ruled by their own reputation and the korean general public (and international stans) care /a lot/ about reputation and (i hate this word but) cancelling idols for things they may or may not be guilty of, even if there's no concrete evidence. this idea of siding 1000% with an alleged victim to prove some kind of superiority is something i only really see amongst stan culture and that's a big reason why i've walked away from things like stan twitter. i actually wrote an article about the situation to get all my thoughts out and a lot of what you said about lucas (albeit briefly) was very similar, if not exactly the same as what i wrote in that piece. at a certain point you have to separate art from artist or you'd have to unstan the whole industry. that's just how it is. no one is perfect, and i personally don't expect anyone to be, even idols. idk this is a long comment no one will probably see but oh well, there's my honest opinion on it take it or leave it idc
