I never thought of using water based/soluble e products for cowashing. I always thought cowashing wouldn't work for me because I like to get rid of all build up, but if I use water based products I won't have to worry about co washing. I already use all water based products and occasionally use light oils on my scalp, so I think cowashing can be for me. thank you!
LOVE the Aquage I’m a FIRM believer I’d you straighten you hair you NEED Silicones to coat and protect the hair from the heat that’s why so many are getting the heat damage I ONLY use silicones when I straighten and a sulfate/chelating shampoo for hard water and to remove the silicones to wash it out when I do l. so I’m 80 percent silicone free. Because I only straightened like six times a year I use heat protectant even if I blow it and knock on wood no heat damage yet check out sista with real hairs channel and her silicone debate and demo and her tailbone length hair she straightens a lot love the channel
To see if something is water soluble you can mix it into water and see if it dissolves, or you can rub the product into your hand and rinse it with water. If it leaves a film on your hand or is harder to remove with just water, it's likely not water soluble. I hope that makes sense!
I have really needed to know this! I never knew about water solvable before you. I think this is going to help me easily find a gel without product buildup for my 4c hair!
I have been binge watching your videos!!! I absolutely love your vibe. And u saved me from blowing coins on function of beauty.. I had 80 bucks in my cart and said holup👀 lemme find some "real" reviews and thankfully found your channel❤ annnd your curls are similar to my own so I find your channel very helpful! Ty for your content #NEW SUBBIE
Since you don't use oils, how do you keep your scalp moisturized? Sometimes my scalp feels dry and Im trying to stop using oils as well. Do you have products or tips?
I don't suffer from dry scalp, but my sister does. I would suggest trying scalp treatments, because those have helped her. If you look up "best scalp treatments for natural hair" I'm sure others would have better recommendations than me! I hope that helps 🤎
I'm obsessed with watching natural hair videos! Good info. Enjoyed this video. I would love it if you checked out some of my videos even though they are NOT as exciting lol. Keep up the good work!
Hello again. You didn't mention this but wanted to ask if you've tried African black soap as a cleanser and do you feel it would be too strong(stripping)? Thank you
Its so funny you asked that! One day I actually wanted to shampoo my hair, and all the ones in my house had sulfates and other harmful ingredients in them so I decided to try using my Black Soap. I personally didn't care for it. Its not that my hair was stripped.. it just didn't feel good and moisturized and it left a weird film on my hair. So I personally wouldn't recommend!
Your melanin is sooooo chocolatey GOLDEN AND BEAUTIFULLLLLL!!

If you straighten your hair, you need silicones. I don't use them because I had a problem with them breaking my hair, but I don't straighten my hair.
I didn't actually know this until another viewer told me. It makes all the since in the world! lol
this blown out look with the loose curls is soooo cute!

You do realize that some silicones are water soluble right?
Do you know which curl creams contain water soluble silicon's?

Hey girl .how did you find out if these products were water soulable?

I hope that makes sense!
is the matcha green tea conditioner is moisturizing enough or is it a light moisture?
Hydrating not mouisturizing... Water soluble... Oils don't mix with water
Please turn down the lighten so we can see the products.
It will improve as the video goes on! I film with natural day light, so as the sun goes down the lighting improves
