As a matter of fact, Maho has been subtly shifting things to benefit Miho. Even the very first time we see her. Think about it. Why did Maho and Erika go to Leclerc Café? Presumably to get something to eat, right? But then Maho sees Miho, and is cold, but not hostile. And then Erika starts spouting off, and what's Maho's first reaction? "Let's go." Instantly, she throws the plan to eat at the café out the window. She's not going to allow Erika to keep trashing her sister, even if she can't really say that out loud.
I like this song. It's nice that it shows how much Maho cares for her sister. it makes me think that Maho dedicated herself to her family's style of fighting so her younger sister would not be given the burden of such a legacy. Giving her the chance to live the life she wants and not be tied down to the family tradition and her mother stern expectations. Atleast that's what i think, Maho dedicate her whole life to the family's style to keep her sister safe and happy. Now Miho has found her own path Maho is proud of her and now knows her sacrifices where worth it.

This show how maho loves her sister. She sacrifice her childhood just to make sure miho will be happy and can find her own path. Her mother maybe seen dont want to admit it, but deeply inside she was proud for two of them. We can seen this in the last eps that she was clapping her hand after a tournament, and she was against the education ministry's argument that the ooarai won by luck. It doesn't look and looks less convincing and is based on revenge, but if he really doesn't care and doesn't have empathy, he will definitely allow Miho's school to be closed and will not file a protest with the ministry of education.
After listening do this I just wanna give all Miho's friend and Miho and Maho a big hug and saying thank you to all of them Because without Miho or her friends Miho wouldn't be Miho and her life would not have been as great, espeically Maho for doing everything for Miho.This made me cry multiple times, i can relate to this song.

All of the new character songs are amazing, but this is definitely one of my absolute favourites of them. On an unrelated note, I can hear a bit of Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke in her singing voice, which is totally fine by me since I love both characters.
Well, Tanaka Rie was the seiyuu for both, so I would imagine there's a similarity. I loved Minna's Japanese version of Lili Marleen. This one from Maho is just as fantastic.

Maspanzer 47, because Maho's journey of life was basically doing her best to allow her sister Miho to have her own journey of life. If you've read Little Army (and Maho's line of "As long as I'm [taking for herself the task of being] the heir of the Nishizumi style, Miho will be free"), you realize that this song translates as "My work is finally done".
Reading Little Army, the prequel to the series, really allows you to get what happens during the anime. And when you realize the bunch of times the anime discreetly references it, you get a warm, fuzzy feeling. That time in episode 1 where Miho's gets all PTSD when she learns she's gonna deal with tanks again, and her first smile afterwards is when she *caresses* the old, battered Panzer IV-D? That's the same tank model she crewed with her friends as 10-olders. That "I finally found it! My own Senshado!" line to Maho in episode 12 to which Maho smiles her *first smile ever?* Well, you'd have to read LA ending for that, not spoiling it for you.

I feel like I fully grasp the meaning of the song when I think about my older cousin- myself being an only child in a stereotypically Asian family, she acted a bit as an older sister figure to me, and was always the ardent overachiever in everything in the family- I’m just mediocre compared to everything she does. All in all, she really is a Maho in this sense to me- I look to her sometimes for guidance and love, and today, I wish her the best on _her_ own path (she’s going off to college).
Basically most Older siblings are like that- though not all but most of them do. As i even regret to not even giving thanks to my brother when he passed away from the ambush from the terrorists, he keeps saying that i should pick anything else and slightly got angry when i choose the same path but accepted, though we had a long argument that was not settled since that time.. Now my mother is pregnant with my father and i will do the same as him- though not so strict as him but i'll support whatever my sibling's goal, even entering service at the army.

I think part of what makes this song so powerful to me is that Maho almost never expresses emotion in the anime or film. At best we see flashes of annoyance or small smiles. This song feels like the dam has burst, and Maho is expressing everything she's held inside for so long in one great big outpouring. And for Maho, this takes the form of a very long-winded declaration of love for and pride in her sister. How beautiful is that?

If you've read Little Army (and Maho's line of "As long as I'm [taking for herself the task of being] the heir of the Nishizumi style, Miho will be free"), you realize that this song translates as "My work is finally done".

Reading Little Army, the prequel to the series, really allows you to get what happens during the anime. And when you realize the bunch of times the anime discreetly references it, you get a warm, fuzzy feeling. That time in episode 1 where Miho's gets all PTSD when she learns she's gonna deal with tanks again, and her first smile afterwards is when she *caresses* the old, battered Panzer IV-D? That's the same tank model she crewed with her friends as 10-olders. That "I finally found it! My own Senshado!" line to Maho in episode 12 to which Maho smiles her *first smile ever?* Well, you'd have to read LA ending for that, not spoiling it for you.

I feel like I fully grasp the meaning of the song when I think about my older cousin- myself being an only child in a stereotypically Asian family, she acted a bit as an older sister figure to me, and was always the ardent overachiever in everything in the family- I’m just mediocre compared to everything she does.
All in all, she really is a Maho in this sense to me- I look to her sometimes for guidance and love, and today, I wish her the best on _her_ own path (she’s going off to college).

Basically most Older siblings are like that- though not all but most of them do. As i even regret to not even giving thanks to my brother when he passed away from the ambush from the terrorists, he keeps saying that i should pick anything else and slightly got angry when i choose the same path but accepted, though we had a long argument that was not settled since that time.. Now my mother is pregnant with my father and i will do the same as him- though not so strict as him but i'll support whatever my sibling's goal, even entering service at the army.

When I first saw Maho I thought she would be the ice queen of tankery until I watched how she acted when alone with her sister it was so wholesome ❤
I think part of what makes this song so powerful to me is that Maho almost never expresses emotion in the anime or film. At best we see flashes of annoyance or small smiles.
This song feels like the dam has burst, and Maho is expressing everything she's held inside for so long in one great big outpouring. And for Maho, this takes the form of a very long-winded declaration of love for and pride in her sister. How beautiful is that?
