I just got hired at Starbucks as a barista, obviously LOL. I start my first day of training tomorrow. I know you’ve probably heard this question many times. How did you memorize the drinks and the modifications that people choose from time to time?
Hey I’m a barista for sb and honestly it’s not hard. Ask your co worker lots of questions first time on bar. You’re bound to mess up but to avoid constantly messing up a lot just ask your coworkers for the next step. They’ll understand and the customers will understand. Give it a week and you’ll be able to have most of the drinks memorized. Just make sure to ask
I know you didn’t ask me but! I was worried about how hard it was going to be to remember but it honestly isn’t that difficult once you get it. For the most part most of the drinks are made the same, very repetitive it’s just about what goes in and on top. Like the other comment said. In about a week or so you will start to remember. It’s okay to ask questions! Good luck!!!
I just started and don’t worry! It gets easier with every drink that you make. Make sure to always ask questions if you’re unsure because you never want to give someone something they didn’t order. :)
lots of drinks have the same build so you really only have to learn what ingredients go in the drink and build it the same way. Ive been a barista for six years and trained over a dozen baristas at starbucks and ive learned that its just something you have to be comfortable with being a little bad at for a while. ask lots of questions and give yourself time to absorb it all! remember, everybody at your store wants you to succeed so dont be shy about asking for help!
as a target barista as well, i will never understand why ppl will order an americano and then say "sub the water for *insert milk*." like, bestie, that's just a latte
I loooved the vlog, I'd like to suggest tho, maybe the drink description could be below the order number on the top right so it doesn't interfere the video 🩷
Hi! I was just wondering that a lot of drink specially Frappucinos, seems to be leftover in the blender after you pour into the cups, which is something usual for all Starbucks. So if a customer asks you if he/she could have that extra bit of Frappuccino in a cup or something, instead of it getting wasted, what would you do? Would you give that extra amount in a separate small cup or just have to wash the excess away because of company policy or something?
why dont they stir in the syrup with the coffee? kills me when the syrup sits on the bottom of the cup. Not just in this video, but almost every sb I go to. Is that standard training not to mix?
I usually give the cup a good swirl to incorporate the syrup and espresso shot in order to blend them together 😅 That's just me tho as I also feel annoyed that syrup sits at the bottom of the cup
as a barista for 10 years I never understood why Starbucks doesn't stir their drinks. smh, I think thats a bad habit to teach baristas. drinks should be ready to drink, besides caramel macchiatos
the applejuice with water is criminal
It was probably for a child

Hello Aishi! If a customer were to ask me that, I would definitely be happy to give them the extra in a small cup.
@@ytsarahh thanks for the reply and I'm happy to know that you would give the extra bit to the customer 🥰
You put base first then toppings then syrup for fraps? lol that’s very different from where I work.
I’m curious, is there a difference?
@@aisprynthere’s no difference in the order, it all gets blended either way lol
I think the venti london fog tea latte was my teacher
Wait.. did you forget to add the cinnamon powder to the Grande Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso? Killin me smalls..

I love your Barista videos!
I am a new barista but I work at biggby coffee, but I love watching these!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING THERE? DID IT COST YOU WORK TO LEARN EVERYTHING?
I just hit 1 year of working there, and no, training was paid time!
I’m obsessed with drinks 😭😭😭😭😭😭
저도 카페 일을 하고 있는데 뭔가 스타벅스에 대한 브랜드 자체가 주는 신뢰감이 있어요 어렵지 않은 제조 또한 편안함을 주는 ,
I'm concerned for the person who ordered SIX shots of espresso
Which order was it? The number btw
So relaxing.
wait ur making almost all drinks wrong with all the wrong proportions!!
WORD
She’s not. She’s trained very well.
i am so eager to start!!!

Hello! Yes, we aren’t trained to mix the syrup into the drink, but if you tell us at the register, we are more than happy to mix it for you!

@@ytsarahhoh! Ok, now I know I need to ask and not expect it lol. Thanks for the response!
@@DianaMartinez-tu2xrlol. Yeah, I don’t know why that bugs me. Haha

How do you make the sweet cream cold foam??
Vanilla sweet cream foam is vanilla syrup, heavy cream, and 2% milk.
🙌
