Make Atton a Jedi Sentinel & Atton's Past (Part 2 of 2)

- Atton has got to be one of my all-time favorite video game characters. He's witty, sarcastic, and has an intriguingly dark past.
He's also one of the characters in KOTOR 2 that you've simply GOT to Jedi-ify. Not only to help boost him for the scrap with the Twin Suns, but because, in the process, you'll get to hear about Atton's run as an Elite Sith Assassin, and his unyielding loyalty to Revan.
So be sure to make Atton a Jedi, whether light or dark (Shem's got a vid up showing Atton being trained as a dark Jedi), each and every time you play. ;)
BTW, I'll be putting up an Atton Influence vid just as soon as I get around to it! :D
This man hides his secret too good.
At the beginning you don't see him as a killer as a Psycho, and now when he tell you who he realy is, you don't see him as the atton of the beginning.

Well there is a Restored Content mod out which gives you all the stuff they had to remove.
They would've made the greatest piece in all of video games, movies, and literature.
He's probably the best companion in the whole franchise of KOTOR.

when I played this game completely without knowing that Atton could be turned Jedi, and then only finding out AFTER i'd beaten the game, I was pissed! LOL Having him as Jedi would have been helpful in a lot of places and also just added more fun and interest to my game. oh well :)

Giova Pepe Obsidian didn't have enough time to actually finish the game. You can add the deleted content into the game if you want to see the real ending. EA really pushed that game out the door before it was ready.

I've got to agree with this. I mean, it's pretty good during the parts where he's obviously angry, but it becomes less convincing near the end when he's calming down and asks to become a jedi. It might just be to counter-balance what he says as a Dark-side character, though. Eh, either way I just don't have the heart to make him Dark Side. He's my favorite character in the whole game!

I have done it a few times, but, I just don't use Atton at all after I get Handmaiden and Visis. I keep him leveled and supply him with upgraded Armor and Guns until after his fight in the Cantina, and after that I don't even talk to him. I make sure he has disrupters to knock their shields down, then flip to blasters. Bao-Dur also receives the same, keep him leveled and weaponed, but only used on Go-To's ship. I use Handmaiden, Mira, Visis, and Canderous basically. Bao-Dur, kept as mechanic, and T-3 make the upgrades. Half the time I don't even activate HK. Can't play Exile as female because Handmaiden is 10 times better than useless Mical!
Been a very very very long time since I played this game and I forgot how to turn most of my followers into Jedi thanks for this video and for reminding me how to get atton to Jedi
don't take it too hard, all of this kind of stuff is what makes K2's replay value so high.
On a lighter note, I'll be finishing up my Atton influence vid as soon as I get back to K2 (I'm a little caught up with K1 right now). ;)

No. Atton freely admits to killing the Jedi who showed him the force. Also: The common theory is that Arren Kae and Kreia are one and the same.
In the actual Star Wars lore, Revan is a man. Revan is called a girl in this because if you played Revan as a girl in KOTOR 1, then in KOTOR 2 you can say that Revan was a girl so you can stick with what you chose.
It was done somewhat clunky though. When you first talk to him, Atton will immediately assume that Revan was a girl and you have the option to correct him if you so wish... But how the hell would a veteran of the Mandalorian Wars not remember the freaking _gender_ of their commanding officer?

No, you don't have to be female or light sided to make Atton a Jedi. I have a vid up that can show you where you can gain influence with him if you're having trouble. Look for my "Atton Influence Opportunities (LS)" vid.
My only real problem with the dialogue here is Atton asking "what must I do? Is there some... some ritual, or...?" I just don't think Atton would phrase his response that way. Even when vulnerable after confronting his feelings on his past, scoundrel wise guy like him would say something like "yeah? I can't read your mind yet so tell me what you're thinking." I love Atton and this scene he has regardless.
I waited till level 20 to train Atton and Mira. So I can max out their feats in Sneak Attack and some feats in Scoundel's Luck for Atton, and Precise Shot and some Targeting feats for Mira. :D

Yes, I AM in the middle of quite a few K1 vids. I just took a little break from them because I promised a few of my subscribers that I'd post a Bao-Dur influence vid SOONER rather than later. I'll be back to making some more K1 vids within the next week or 2. ;)

Both Kotors are good in thier own way. But IMO if TSL had all the content it was supposed to have, it would be way better then the 1st. Anyways, back to the video

Ugh! I just finished playing Kotor 2 yesterday, and I was so mad. I played through the whole game without actually geting Attons story. Tho i tried and tried. I also couldnt get T3's message, goto's identity, and Mandalore's identity. I was so mad I did all the prequisites for all of them but it never worked.

Obviously Finn from The Force Awakens was inspired from Aton Rand. Jus think, both deserters, both specialized Jedi-fighters, both trained in crowd control and assassination, both became in love with the heroine of the story and both fought a powerful darksider an ended up very badly.
I doubt Finn had much experience or specialisation. He was a stormtrooper who got hot under the collar after his first real battle.

how do you get lightsabers for your companions?or do they make them on their own?

@@monoshen3849 Nope, that's according to The Old Republic game, in Kotor 2 Atton tells you about Revan and refers to them as a she, you can choose whether or not to correct him and say that Revan was a man, if you do Revan will be referred to as a man, if you don't Revan will be referred to as a woman.
