  • Homemade Basil pesto
    1-2 cloves of garlic
    1/2 cup toasted pine nuts
    2 Tbs lemon juice
    1/4 cup olive oil
    1/4 tsp sea salt (more to taste )
    1/4 tsp freshly cracked pepper
    1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
    2 cups fresh basil leaves ( washed and dried )
    In a good processor, mix the pine nuts ,garlic, salt & pepper and lemon juice . Add the basil leaves next followed by the olive oil . When you get a homogeneous mixtures add the parmesan and blend . Transfer into a clean glass jar . Will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks . The taste and smell are incredible. Use it on bread , meat or pasta .
