When your children are visibly uncomfortable with how people are treating, it is your duty as a parent to make sure that you at least address it. I don't know how Kim is as a mum so I'm not going to label her as a bad or good parent. But personally, I would have a few words with someone who continued doing something that my child clearly didn't like.

I happened to stumble on this video but I couldn't agree more, for a couple of reasons. 1. The child is very vocal about being uncomfortable being photographed, thus that needs to be respected 2. Being in the public gaze as a child (with parents who are willfully slow to react) reinforces the idea that her body does not belong to her, and that she has no right to privacy or space. These are things that North-West can internalize that have dire consequences, especially as she becomes a woman 3. North-West is a child who does not need to be objectified or fetishized, she does not have the emotional faculties of an adult to navigate those things

You're absolutely right about that! They call the paparazzi and tell them where they will be. Last summer I visited LA and I drove by their store DASH; not a paparazzi in sight-nothing. Now, when they visit the store on their show they can hardly get in the store because it's so much paparazzi around. I knew then it's all staged. But that's how they make a living by staying in the media. But there's another Kardashian being born everyday and soon the media will be on to something new; and they will be done. Unfortunately for them they have ZERO talent to fall back on. They can't make another movie or drop a record.

When your children are visibly uncomfortable with how people are treating, it is your duty as a parent to make sure that you at least address it. I don't know how Kim is as a mum so I'm not going to label her as a bad or good parent. But personally, I would have a few words with someone who continued doing something that my child clearly didn't like.
I think that Kim is letting her daughter find her own way to deal with the Paps. North will always have paps chasing her down for a picture. She needs to get used to it being as cute as she is and her status. I happened to stumble on this video but I couldn't agree more, for a couple of reasons.
1. The child is very vocal about being uncomfortable being photographed, thus that needs to be respected
2. Being in the public gaze as a child (with parents who are willfully slow to react) reinforces the idea that her body does not belong to her, and that she has no right to privacy or space. These are things that North-West can internalize that have dire consequences, especially as she becomes a woman
3. North-West is a child who does not need to be objectified or fetishized, she does not have the emotional faculties of an adult to navigate those things

First off, ANY of these "celebrities" in California or New York City; they know people (fans and paparrazi) with cameras and cell cameras will more than likely be somewhere to take a pic.So what if someone take a pic. One celebrity once said that when they "stop" taking pics, that's when you worry. If you're that worried about it then don't take the kid(s) anywhere.

No matter how much u ask the paparazzi or stop and get defensive and tell them off and tell them please and they say sorry or ok...they WILL keep taking the photos right after you walk away. I mean that's how they make their money. And sometimes they just say ok no more photos or sorry cause it's what you want to hear and they don't actually want to upset you but they do get a kick out of your response and the interaction. They are only there for that money. And if they upset you and you react or fight they will love to get a photo of that too to sell that to a magazine.
