what you recommend solo worm wood players do with their crops since they can't heal them? like what they do with the corn, carrot and every other vegetable? they don't gain health from food so they should focus on hunger. What is the best option for each crop

apparently it was possible in early forms of dont starve, when characters died, the dropped long pig meat. this acted exactly like monster meat, but was removed for obvious reasons
Don't forget guys: drying a bat wing gives you small jerky which can be used in a crockpot like a morsel. Also; unagi has the highest "priority" of any crockpot dish, meaning if you put algae and eel in any dish IT WILL BECOME UNAGI so be careful.
The app “Crockbook for Don’t starve” is a game changer. Able to look up recipies easily and quickly, there’s also a recipie predictor feature where you put in what you plan on using and it tells you what you’re gonna get
Probably a dumb idea, but thought of a potential use of wet goop. Converging sticks to healing for wormwood, if that makes sense at all! Give it a few days to rot, and boom. Free rot for healing abit. Useful if you don't have a more reliable source of healing maybe? Unsure of the efficiency though.
@James Bucket true that! And admittingly thought it up on the spot after the video, and as someone who mains wormwood but isnt skilled at combat, healing can be hard to come by, and since the wet goop spoils kinda quickly it has some use atleast, even if it's for 5 points of healing at a time if you don't use it to make more direct heals. It's better than relying on spider gland rng or paper when you don't have a reliable source of reeds, atleast.
A quick footnote: 1: when you have a functioning wormwood and wickerbottom on your team, veggies can often replace twigs or even ice, just to get them out of the fridge. 2: frogs are fairly easy to kill with a ranged weapon, traps, or ham bat and log suit. Their legs can be used as fillers, and if you base near a pond (please do I’m Webber we can get fish for pierogi alternative) you should have easy access to these things. 3: the order of meat is monster, morsel, regular. Monster meat can be used first, and should only be eaten in dire circumstances. Morsels are easy to get through rabbits, moles, and birds, and an heal and fill. Meat is most valuable, as wigfraid depends on it. 4:every single rule in this video and this comment can be nullified under the pretense that you are clearing space. If you want to make meatballs, please don’t use one of the 27 monster meats, use the single morsel. Make fish sticks, not the 15th pierogi. Space is always needed for as much food as you can handle, as winter is just around the corner. So make whatever food you feel is right, and don’t forget: download craft pot from the steam workshop. Please. It’s better and easier than looking at recipes online.
Just the refresher course I needed to keep up the variety when playing Warly. Just chugging down 10 Pierogi ain't gonna cut it for the boss fights anymore.
Also, by twigs, you just need an unrelated filler item. Ice works, as well as mandrakes occasionally. It’s just those are slightly more specific and may mess up the dish.
honestly, imagine if you were trying to make trail mix, but it turned out to be wet goop, and you see someone witha crowbar running towards you saying they're gonna break you legs
we have solely lived off of meatballs and meaty stew untill summer, we have so much food right now that they are going stale, they are exteremely good foods
My personal favorite recipe for winter is meatballs. My dad and I play this together and all we have by the end of winter is monster jerky and ice. One monster jerky and three ice is our recipe for meatballs.
I recommend not drying monster meat (unless you want it to last longer) as having regular jerky is great for sanity, healing and filling. Using up the drying rack for monster foodies leaves less room for good foodies
@@grubsuu5258 If you have enough drying racks then it's worth it. We have so many that it takes a while to fill them all and we can usually dry as many as we want. I recommend 8 drying racks per person at base and if it's a solo base then at least 12.
Bacon and eggs are really good because you can give a bird two cooked monster meat to get eggs so it is possible to make 3 out of the 4 ingredients for bacon and eggs with monster meat.
Froggle bunwich is a very cost-effective dish though. One frog leg, one red cap, and two sticks for 37.5 hunger, 20 health, and 5 sanity? That's such a good, cheap recipe.
Bacon & eggs for life, man! Btw, as for you argument about efficiency, you don't have to make eggs specifically out of monster meat. I find the bird cage to be the best way of getting value out of leafy meat, since you can't use it in a crock pot otherwise. Also, if you happen to only have 2 monster meats and 1 tallbird egg, there's a trick to prevent you from cooking monster lasagna instead of bacon & eggs - adding a stick, because while these recipes have the same priority monster lasagna cannot have sticks in it. Oh, and also a small note on eggplants - you can in fact use them as filler in meaty recipes like pierogi or meatballs, just make sure not to put any more vegetables.
Easiest way to know you have a Wes infestation: there's wet goop and balloons everywhere, your food is gone, and so are all of your bandages and other healing items. The solution to this problem? Get out of there. Find a world they haven't touched yet. Because if there's enough of them to where they can be called an infestation, it's already too late.
