I've had the opportunity to steal a lot more than that and get away with it easily but I didn't because (a) I have a conscience that would make me feel bad for the rest of my life and (b) It is illegal and if caught, I would go to jail.
The first kid is smart enough to commit theft using receipts and his debit card, but can't understand basic rules let alone speak properly. And kid, you're an adult. Act like it.
Not saying these people shouldn’t be prosecuted, but why is it when an employee steals, it’s cops, handcuffs, and jail, but when an employer steals, it’s a civil matter?
Well... no... an 8 year old shouldn't go to PRISON for 6 months for stealing a video game. So you think it helps the child to learn and become a better person by failing them out of their grade and having them sit in a prison cell with full grown ass men for 6 months? He shouldn't be charged as an adult because he committed a crime, he should be charged as an adult because by the time he's stealing an average of $230 per day (nearly $60,000 per year), he is well past petty crime children get up to.
@ryanthompson3737 Thats a pretty extreme example. Minors are typically only tried as adults in the case of violent crimes, some states have exceptions for 16-17 years old though as it relates to theft, fraud, burgalary etc. When it comes to very young offenders (pre-teens & early teens) theres juvy and group homes, for older teens & young adults theres jit camps. Either way being in the system is terrible for any kid, sadly some have to be incarcerated & face the consequences of their actions.
@dosidicusgigas1376 Not really... the law for adults in Texas, for example, is if they steal anything over $100 but under $750, they can be sent to prison for up to 180 days. The argument isn't that they'll get 180 days, but that a judge can, without precident or care, give someone 6 months in jail for stealing a video game... something they would also be able to do to a child. And I mean.. usually they give you 6 months probation instead, but then what happens when they get into a fight at school like kids sometimes do? Now this judge has an incentive to charge the maximum sentence for that theft... I mean, how would YOU feel if they kept putting people on probation that clearly don't want to reform? Alas, the only argument is a judge with a heart, but then why the fuck even make the laws anyways if judges can just refuse to abide by it?
@@dosidicusgigas1376 OH, and I'm not talking about how it is in reality, I'm responding to OP that suggested states need to lower the age in which children are charged as adults BY DEFAULT. I'm not talking murder or ra*e, I'm talking anything from stealing a stick of bubble gum to committing terrorism, and everything in between. That kid was charged as an adult not because of the crime, but because he was 17 and the age of adulthood in that state is 17.
During my training with a German bank many years ago, I learned how banks would usually deal with the occasional fool who embezzled money: They would call the delinquent into some unpleasant office, spring the evidence on him, tell him that immediate firing was non-negotiable and make him choose: Either cough up the money within record time and get a neutral employer's reference OR get the ride in a police car and end whatever lawful career there might ever be. The former would save the company the embarrassment of a fraud case coming to light and recoup the money. Usually, the perpetrators jumped at the first option, drawing at their savings and begging their parents and families to make the bank whole and keep them out of jail. Whoever goes to jail usually totally clams up about the money as he/she will need some cash once the jail term is over. Satisfying as dragging them behind bars may be... the discreet way was the better choice.

Why would you risk jail for just $2200 ? Doesn't he know that POS systems log transaction data (especially refunds) and reports get sent automatically to the admin / manager ?
I've had the opportunity to steal a lot more than that and get away with it easily but I didn't because (a) I have a conscience that would make me feel bad for the rest of my life and (b) It is illegal and if caught, I would go to jail.
The first kid is smart enough to commit theft using receipts and his debit card, but can't understand basic rules let alone speak properly. And kid, you're an adult. Act like it.
In Texas stealing 22,000 will get you 5-10yrs in prison She got a slap on the wrist
He called his mom "bro"..teach him a lesson..👍
Not saying these people shouldn’t be prosecuted, but why is it when an employee steals, it’s cops, handcuffs, and jail, but when an employer steals, it’s a civil matter?
How you gonna arrest a Walmart
Whos rayshawn? 😂 His mom wasn't playing his game lol
Tell me to POUND SAND not "pounce then" 😂
But I'm a minor, that means I can steal at will with no repercussion...
Lol " I know I'm fired right?" 😅
We clearly need more states where being able to be charged as an adult starts much younger than 18.
Well... no... an 8 year old shouldn't go to PRISON for 6 months for stealing a video game.
You see American, this country isn’t racist, opportunities are given, spit on, and then “they” complain they don’t get them. Culture, not racism.
How about ireland right now... some algerian migrant stabbed multiple kids and if you say anything bad about that you are labeled as far right.
During my training with a German bank many years ago, I learned how banks would usually deal with the occasional fool who embezzled money:
They would call the delinquent into some unpleasant office, spring the evidence on him, tell him that immediate firing was non-negotiable and make him choose:
Either cough up the money within record time and get a neutral employer's reference OR get the ride in a police car and end whatever lawful career there might ever be.
Satisfying as dragging them behind bars may be... the discreet way was the better choice.
second hand embarrassment
What a good video bro. Good job with the extra details
The 17 yr old is screwed! Thats wire fraud! That charge ain’t never going away! Good!
He wasn’t going to amount to anything in life anyways. Ffs he calls his own mom “bro”??? 😂
The first guy calls his mother "bro." Mom did such a great job raising this little thug.
Loss prevention showed a lot of grace.
If you call your asian parent bro you'd be receiving multiple slap of thick flip flops on the face, till you learn how to call them in respectful manner.
AWW, The little boy want the cop to call his mom. Mom BRO, I've been arrested...Im going to jail.😢😂
You have the best police content I have seen
real
He put the money on his card, like no one would have noticed 😂
I don't understand why these people think they can get away with these kind of crimes!!
As a Georgia native, this was something we were all taught in a book our school gave us called “Ignorance is No Defense” or something like that that broke down GA law for us teenagers to make sure we understood the consequences of crime in a developmentally appropriate way. Obviously, mine is a decade out of date, but I hope the updated copies are still given to school children in the state.
That should be updated and printed out for every child in this country, according to the laws of their states as well as federal laws.
It’s crazy how he knows how to scam ,but doesn’t know how to talk to the law and know his rights.
He’s way too young to think he knows his rights!🥺
I knew my rights at his age.
But i didn't use the info to break the law.
Stealing is wrong period, we all learn that in early stages of life.
The first. Guy had soup for brains!
The complete disrespect of that guy to keep calling his mom BRO.
Exactly why 17-18 should not be considered adults until 21 or 25
The first guy doesn’t know his rights at all clearly lol
