Gotta remember, this is a young team and they already have a top 3 D and the offensive line is improving. Nix just needs more time to develop and he'll be fine. We definitely are lacking explosive players on offense which I am sure they will address in the draft.
best game of his career? die hard broncos fan here. he had 60 yards passing .... the week prior against the bucs was probably his best game so far. charged down the field several times.
It was a terrible game for Nix. That meager 60 yards all went to Courtland Sutton on 3 passes. That means for the other 22 passes he threw, he gained ZERO YARDS. A normal yard per pass number is around 6-8, & even west coast offenses average around 6 yard per pass attempt. So basically he left about 130 yards on the table. This is the result of all the check downs he's throwing. He's throwing these short passes for on of two reasons; 1) he can't find open receivers downfield, or 2) Sean Payton is calling them because he knows Nix is not ready to make full field reads. Either way, averaging 2.5 yard per pass is a recipe for getting beat in pretty much every game. Sean started him because he wanted to, but it's pretty obvious he should have waited.
@@MarkLewis-l3f he literally yoaked a good 60 yard ball in week 2 and then destroyed the bucs all down the field. ive seen glimpses of hope but its just gonna take time
@@headspace632 If you're talking about the flea-flicker play, you need to go back & take a very good look at that. It's the perfect example of what I am talking about. Nix throws that pass off platform for no reason. Take a look at his mechanics. You'll see that not only is the pass off target, forcing the receiver to have to come back & adjust for the ball, but had he simply planted his feet properly & put some air under it, it's a touchdowns if he lets the receiver run under the pass. He had a couple steps on the defense & so if Bo just leads him with the pass, he scores. As it happened, that play did us no good because a couple plays later he threw a pick in the end zone. Instead of a TD, we turn the ball over.
"Jets going to the superbowl coming into the year" .... LOL, who the hell would think that coming into the year. They will be lucky to finish with a winning record this year.
The raiders likely may be without Max Crosby the and devante Adams Max due to injury Adams likely because he's going to be traded soon and they don't want to ruin his trade value
The run game got going, the biggest one for me on this game, they were down at halftime, and never once looked discouraged. They stayed scrappy and cracked the jets offense. after Bo scored and tge jets kept getting pummeled Rodgers looked frusterated and his guys kept making mistakes... special teams set em up and the D knocked them down. Seriously when was the last time Rodgers took 5 sacks? 😮
Before the Tampa Bay game he told the Broncos PR team to start pronouncing it like 'bidet' and when the press asked him about it he said it was a family thing that he would talk about later.
I thought that as well because he had said it was pronounced baydee but there is a couple new videos of saying it is pronounced “bidet”. It’s weird and I kept getting annoyed the past couple keeps at the announcers but turns out they are pronouncing it correctly
Yes...but also ZERO YARDS PASSING on the other 22 attempts he threw besides the 3 completions to Sutton. They had multiple passes for negative yardage, which is just as bad as a sack. So avoiding sacks because you only throw short dump off passes or screens is really a misleading statistic that doesn't mean anything if you only throw for 60 yards in the entire game.
Why are so many people completely missing the fact that Bo Nix is throwing almost exclusively short passes or low risk sideline stuff? It's very obvious that Sean is calling only things he trusts Bo to do. Nix is unable to read an NFL defense yet, in spite of what Sean says. His mechanics are also TERRIBLE. He throws off platform on a regular basis whether it's required or not. Bo has now had two of his three games exhibiting a very low yards per pass. In this Jets game he had all 60 of his yards go to Courtland Sutton, & that means tha in the other 22 passes he threw, he gained ZERO YARDS. That's literally the craziest stat I have ever seen for a football game. Even QBs who specialize in the dink & dunk stuff we often see in the West Coast Offense usually average around 6 yards per pass attempt. So on those 22 passes I would expect "normal" yardage production of around 130-140 yards. How the hell does Bo wind up with ZERO??? Don't use the weather as an excuse. We can pull up countless games in which it was raining or the ball & the field were wet but we have never seen anything like ZERO yards on 22 pass attempts. If you watch the tape you're going to see some mechanical issues & some clear indications that Bo is not reading the field. The truth is, Sean wanted to start him so he did. But he's making it quite clear that he's not really ready for it. Sixty yards passing is not going to win games in the NFL.

I think the real story here is how dominant the Broncos defense is. We gave Rodgers his first ever loss where he didnt throw a single TD pass
We did the same to Rodgers in 2015

This defense has only allowed 2 tds in 3 games. Only 1 td in the last 11 quarters.
