I had pitryiasis rosea, it’s terrifying as so many doctors disagree but camomile lotion helped so much for me !! I had it just after Christmas last year spread all over my body but honestly once using the camomile lotion really got rid of it so quickly !!

    • @Metzli
      @Metzli 8 месяцев назад +1

I've had it and it wasn't that terrifying tbh. It was a long time ago, I guess me and my parents were concerned when the marks started appearing (specially the "mother" mark) but my dermatologist was super chill about it. She was like "oh I haven't seen pityriasis rosea for quite a long time!" as if I was just a fun study case xD
I don't remember the details as I was a kid, but she basically said it was harmless. I must have rubbed something on my skin and it was gone. Although I think one of the marks has stayed since then...

This happened to me Soph! Years ago - when I was a flight attendant for a few months, and I pinpointed it to my Flight Uniform! I’m so sorry. It really sucks and unfortunately will just go away on it’s own. It might be noteworthy to say that I hated the job and was really stressed out and unhappy. Once I re-aligned with my Dharma and made decisions for myself, it went away. Felt like the universe was helping to re-direct me. Love you!❤❤❤

I had pityriasis rosea a few years ago, tho it wasn't as awful as yours, it did freak me out a little, the only thing the dermatologist recommended is that I bathe with shower gels that have no fragrance, for example Cerave stuff. It went away by itself in 1-2 weeks, and I remember reading some article about it, where it said that you can only have it once? Like it won't come back ever. I don't know how true that is but let's hope we won't have to experience it ever again! Sending you much love

I have Pityriasis rosea. It lasts 2 weeks on me. And they show up out of nowhere. Some are big, some are small, and they get exacerbated with heat, at least for me. It just showed up on me out of nowhere. And it's happened 2x already the past 2 years. At first, it was worrisome, but the 2nd time it happened, it really didn't bother me anymore. No cure. But they go away, idk yet what the trigger would be since it only happened 2x. Mine are more on my limbs.

In 2021 and 2022 I often broke out in major facial swelling, itchiness and bright pink/red patches. It was mainly on my face however I would sometimes break out into a rash over my body as well. It was very similar to an allergic reaction. I went to so many specialists, GP’s and pharmacists. Nobody could give me any answers and after completing a bunch of allergy tests, they couldn’t find any answers. Some doctors had put it down to stress related flare ups. I haven’t had any trouble with it since 2022. So don’t underestimate what stress can do and how your body could react as well. Hope you’re doing better Soph! ❤️❤️

I went through a scary rash right before I started college and it was horrible 😅 at first I thought it was an allergic reaction to penicillin I took for a sore throat but now I realize I might have had hand foot and mouth disease, which is weird because usually only babies and toddlers get it, and I haven’t been around any for a long time 😂 I got it really bad on the bottom of my feet too, which made it feel like hell to walk around. I littlerally had to crawl on my hands and knees around my house, it was so bad. I found that any talc powder helps with the itchiness if your experiencing that. Happy new year soph ! 😊

I had a rash similar to what you described for about six months on and off. I went to several doctors, dermatologists, pharmacies, blood tests, A&E etc and still to this day never had a known diagnosis but what you described was mentioned. I thought I was allergic to washing detergent, some foods etc. I never got to the root of the problem but one day, it just kinda disappeared?!?! I really feel for you. It was a very difficult part of my life so I really feel for you. It's great you're speaking out about it. I hope it clears up soon x x x

I've been super in love with like every E.L.F. product this year! Also my video suggestions for this year are makeup hacks and tips, clean makeup brands video, and how to enhance your natural features such as color theories with like matching your eyeshadow to your opposite color of your eyes or whatever, the inner corner of the eyes having white and whatever those types of makeup theories for fun of course.

Hope you're feeling better Soph, never apologise for feeling scared about something that's happening to you, no matter now small it seems ❤
My favourites have been the maybelline superstay skin tint, and the sky high mascara, both which I discovered from you. ❤❤

Hi!! I had Pityriasis rosea once! I was taking a very strong anti inflammatory drug and it appeared all over my tummy and back... I thought it was psoriasis, but the dermatology took a sample and the biopsy showed Pityriasis rosea. The rashes desapeared on their own a few weeks later. And I haven't have it since. Kisses from Brazil

Omg I've had this Christmas of 2020 and never had covid then either started off as a patch that I couldn't get rid off then i was mega rough couldnt get out of bed i thought you might have had it when you mention it before your better off leaving it alone and just use Sanax shower gel I find it weird that it doesn't affect your hands or feet also known as christmas tree rash too!

I had it one summer when i was in college. It was awful no sun no swimming and it felt like my skin was on fire. It did go away on its own in about a month and a half and the dermatologist told me it mostly occurs amongst women 15 to 30. Wouldn't wish it on anybody. Good luck i hope it'll be over soon for you 💪😊

I had that rash when I was like 12 - mum was worried it was meningitis at first! But it went away after a few weeks and I've never had it again! Understandable to be concerned but you mostly just have to be patient with it I'm afraid

Pityriasis rosea is a bitch! I'm sorry Soph! It's not fun. I've had it twice. First time I had it I had it for 6 months, then for 2 months the second time. There isn't really anything for it unfortunately. Try not to scratch because it'll scar super easily. Cortisone helped with the itch. AVOID HOT SHOWERS! Lukewarm to warm only. The heat exacerbates the rash BIG TIME. I'm so so sorry, I know how uncomfortable it is, the way it feels and the way it looks. I hope it goes away soon! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! Until this video, I've never known anyone else who has had it so I hope you can find someone if you need advice or to just vent about it. All my love ❤

I know this is going to sound forward.. but i wanted to say that what stink about each segregated specialist is just that.. they are all segregated and do not all have knowledge of one another and how everything in the body is so completely interconnected. Its stilly doctors will go to school for 7 years but know hardly a thing about nutrition.. how it effects EVERYTHING. Sugar now is to be known to cause Alzheimer's for instance. So this discussion goes straight into diet, your blood type and diet, and sugar.. Anyhow, I am going to recommend something because I just love you so much and I hope you begin a beautiful journey after trying.. but seek out some information regarding mindful meditation. Then seeking the Joe Dispenza manifestation techniques, Wim Hoff Breathwork, and do some research on the lymphatic system. :) Love you!

Oh I had the same rash you had… but was told it was a type of fungus. But funnily enough, it comes back when I’m stressed/ran down.
What really helps is to wash with Nizoral shampoo every so often. Sending you a big healing hug.
Enjoy the wedding dress shopping! So exiting!!! By the way, there’s a Pronuptia in Paris, near the church called La Madeleine. The dresses are STUNNING and way cheaper than in the UK (well they were when I got married) - It’s a great day trip to do with your girls coz it only takes 1.5h to get there on the Eurostar.

In the fall of 2019, a relative gave me mono (by dipping the ice scoop directly into her drink while she was ill). I developed a giant, very red, extremely itchy rash on the front of my neck soon after. I couldn’t wear necklaces, I couldn’t wear high neck shirts, scarfs, etc for almost four years. The rash went away after a few months, but the inability to wear anything touching it remained. In the last few months that part has gotten better (not gone though and I'm not pushing it). I went through dozens of lotions and creams - both meant for itch and just face/body formulas. The only thing that helped the extreme itching was the snail mucin 96 serum. I have the 92 cream and that didn’t help it. But two pumps of the serum slathered on my neck a few times a day helped me not scratch. Nobody ever gave my condition a name - I just call it “mono neck”. But I’m pretty sure you solved the mystery that my docs couldn’t! So thank you! I hope the snail serum helps you.

Hi Girlie, hope you're doing well. Never tried the brand 17 before but I tried the brown mascara. If you haven't tried it, just don't. The transfer? Fallout? I'm not sure the term, but I had specks below my eye hours later ☹️. Thank you for your amazing videos (I've been watching a lot of older videos as I'm quite new to your channel) have fun dress shopping!

I am not your doctor ofc, but my guess is your initial cold / flu / minor illness combined with an allergic reaction either caused your immune system to freak out so instead of producing a small rash your body tried to over-compensate, thus producing a large rash. When your immune system is fighting multiple ailments (even if you aren't visibly sick), new ones coming in might lead to your body being "overworked". An allergic reaction means your immune system perceives something that might not necessarily be harmful as an enemy to the body (basically it reacts to pollen, nuts, soy, a particular skincare ingredient, etc similar to how it would a virus) and tries to flush it out. Sometimes these "flush out" methods contradict what you would want - hence a rash to increase blood flow to that area so the immune system has better access to fight the allergen.
In short, an allergy is only an allergy because your body chose violence. XD You probably would have had a more mild reaction if you weren't sick beforehand. I would suggest to just be very careful of products you are around when your body is immunocompromised / sick. Everything in your body is connected. Use what you already know works for you and don't try anything new when you're sick. And never feel bad about taking time off for your health! We will always be waiting and we will totally understand. Looking forward to 2024 and trying some of your faves to make them my faves, hehe! :D

Also delicious tea... The scrub company do this balm stick that has some crazy voodoo and has so many great reviews from people with skin concerns... My friend gave me some and it was brilliant. I got Pityriasis Rosea a few times growing up! The last time I got it I was in high school, I'm now nearly 28. Doctors always told me the same thing, they don't know what causes it & they really don't know what to do for it. :( They would always give me a cream to put on the spots/patches & I'd just have to wait it out. From my experience & from the one and only other person I met that had it, it was caused by severe stress. The very last time I got it was the worse it had ever been but thankfully I've not had it since. If I can be of any more help just let me know! I've had it probably 5 or 6 times growing up & could definitely go into more detail that may help you pinpoint what triggered it for you. Sending you lots of love!

I had similar issue went to emergency room 2 times saw 3 telehealth/video, called my primary and ultimately a dermatologist. Other drs all prescribed steroids and a cream…nothing worked. It was itchy painful and the only thing that would help was cold baths with cold towels with ice all over my body. Dermatologist said for me to take 2 Zyrtec pills everyday and increase when they pop up worse. She said that there’s no reason maybe stress. I’ve been taking the Zyrtec faithfully and when I’m brave I stop and within an hour they return. Good luck finding your remedy ❤

I’ve spent years searching for my holy grail foundation and have finally found it. Don’t know if you’ve tried it but if not it’d be fab for your wedding day (and any other day too). It’s the Face Atelier foundation. I get it from Doll Face House of Beauty website. The foundation is flawless, foolproof, doesn’t budge, looks so like skin, it has a built in primer and can also be used as concealer and eye primer, it evens out skin texture etc etc. it’s just stunning and literally blends itself, completely adjustable coverage from sheer to full, I will never use anything else again. It looks expensive for a tiny bottle but you only need to use the tiniest amount to get full coverage (I have rosacea so it’s well tested!) The matching powder is beautiful too as it just disappears into the skin. Please try it as it’s designed to work for all skin types and textures and a review of it I think could help so many people struggling to find the right foundation for them. I use the olive adjuster they do in the same range as one struggled to find a foundation that’s not to yellow or too pink and their foundation adjusters just make it so easy to get your perfect match. The foundation is also self setting so for anyone that doesn’t like using powder it’s perfect. I think you’ll love it. ❤

I had an episode of pityriasis rosea this past spring after I had a bad cold. Mine started with a gnarly "mother patch" on my leg and then it erupted all over my trunk, neck, arms, and thighs. For the first two weeks, I had my pharmacy coworkers insist it was hives, but Benadryl wasn't doing anything. I managed to see my GP and she only identified it because she had had it when she was younger. I was given a prescription for a hydrocortisone cream for the particularly itchy spots, and also a 2-week course of Erythromycin antibiotic because there was some research data suggesting that it could reduce the healing time (left alone, it could take up to 6 months for some people). It took me about two months in total for the rash to complete subside. Sometimes, I can see the ghost of some of the patches (especially the mother patch) when I get cold or too hot. It was incredibly uncomfortable and it made me self-conscious when it spread to my neckline and arms where people could see it. Good news is that you usually only ever get it once in your lifetime. Seems to just be a weird immune reaction that the body can have.
