When you know when the high tide is in your area you set the tide register to high tide or low tide for that matter, as the tide moves the register will notify you, works great if you fish ect
I think I have a smaller wrist and I sported my Nixon 51-30 Chrome watch, got a good compliment from a great looking woman working a desk at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. I bought it on line while I was deployed in Iraq in 2011, picked it up downtown Seattle among other things and first look thought it was a little big for my wrist but the look out weighed all my doubts. Still have it, never thought about wearing it all the time. I usually wear it on special occasions. I wear a Victorinox swiss army with a leather band, and love it. I've worn it to work, gym, it's my watch that I wear all the time.
Thanks for this vid, been wanting one for ages but have always questioned the longevity. As for the ride movement, that simply tells you when it is high or low tide once you set it for a particular spot. It won't tell you when there are waves for surfing. I have wondered how much time it takes to go from high to low tide and back again on the dial as the time between rides differs around the world. Can you tell me how long it takes the ride dial to go round as I can't do d this info anywhere!
spencerfourhigher, Thanks for the question. I should have clarified, I went with the 24 mm because I had the same problem. I also used a Zulu strap, rather than a NATO, which is a bit different. Here's a link to some. You should be able to search and get any color you want. Nixon makes 51 30 to last but there watch bands are the weakness for the Nixon company they never last especially the rubber type all of my 4 Nixon 5130 are with nato straps takes the weight off the watch.

Lmao. Love the video and the " i don't care" talk. Was cracking up. I have the gunmetal 51-30 and love it. Thanks for the review
Michael Zacharia, Thanks Buddy. Glad you liked it 😎
It’s not a particular wave, it’s the tides it is supposed to indicate

Nice looking watch and nice vid😀
Same exact thing happened to my band. Where did you find a 25mm NATO strap? I only seem to only find 24mm

Jon Decker you’re awesome! What color is your strap? Is it navy or black!?!?

Does the watch really look that big or does it look pretty normal on the wrist
