@@ashtonkeaton the Maldives is cheaper and has a wider selection of premium resorts that are , newer, more luxurious and all inclusive so you don't have additional expenses for food and drinks. Some all inclusive island resorts also include transfers and tours. You can use a Maldives destination specialist travel agent for the best rates. In addition you can couple Maldives with Singapore, Dubai or even Qatar to get two destinations one trip. The beaches in the Maldives are stunning and it's a true private island, secluded and total relaxation. If you like water activities, lots to do plus spa, snorkeling, diving etc. And the seaplane flight to your island is breathtaking, an experience for sure. The only thing is you would get better weather in November in the Maldives as October is the end of rainy season.
It's wild to me that the St Regis had roaches and termites!!! The Maldives is SUCH a better value because most resorts have an all inclusive package and you can get super luxury all inclusive resorts for the cost of room only at Westin. Not to mention no roaches or termites. If you have points maybe it's worth it.
I would be surprised if you can avoid cockroaches anywhere, after all, that’s what they are known for! The termites however should not be there. You can get all inclusive in Bora Bora but it is even more expensive. The thing with Bora Bora is it has culture, you have Polynesian singing, dancing and it just has a more fun vibe than the Maldives. However, the Maldives has so many hotels that you can get a better deal. I mean there is even a Holiday Inn in the Maldives!
Thank you so much for this review! Considering this for our honeymoon in October!
Glad it was helpful!

@@TheIslanddiva what makes you say the Maldives over Bora Bora? :)
