I think it's about how she carries herself. Of course she is objectively very beautiful, but she has always compared herself to Tris and thinks because she doesn't look like her she's not beautiful. So she acts closed off and uninterested to protect herself from rejection, therefore she is not approached by men that often because she seems unapproachable. There are lots of beautiful people who don't think of themselves as beautiful and therefore put up a wall, and as a result they aren't approached in that way and it reinforces this self belief that they aren't beautiful.

It is fun to go in there at 3am and see how many Russian gangster types are hanging--- some good Eastern European comfort food, too. Across the street (or was it on the corner of 7th) used to be one of my fave night eateries, KIEV...open 24 hours, with sexy, sultry, Slavic waitresses who moved at a snail's pace. You say you like Challah french toast? Well, KIEV made killer challah french toast! Don't know why they closed...maybe they had laundered all the money they could OR (and most likely) the gentrified tight asses that have chased all the interesting people who MADE this neighborhood, generations of misfits, made this neighborhood legendary, they don't stay up like drug addicts, criminals, cabbies...have that big meeting in the morning, 9am, to see about ridding the city of it's last affordable studio apartment. Pestiferous money grubbing scum.
