Our post dinner routine looks similar… it’s the time my husband gets one on one time with our son, and I clean up the kitchen and decompress. It’s wild that someone would think that’s a ridiculous thing for your husband to do, take your girls and spend time with them? That’s a blessing, not only to you getting a little break (although still working in other ways) but such a blessing to your girls AND to him as a dad. These days go so fast, and we will never regret the times we spent with our children, and dads who work outside the home rarely get to spend time with their children so I love that you guys have that as part of the routine… it’s SO HEALTHY! Keep doing it 👏🏼👏🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Welp, I cried twice at this one. Apparently I needed to let it out 😂 in the beginning with the scripture, I needed that word! And at the end with the words of encouragement! Thanks for keeping me going in my new SAHM journey! You’re my motivation this week!
I was just listening to you while crocheting. I raised my kids in the 80s/90s and, back then, we had nothing like a you tube mom to share things with us. I literally felt so alone most days. Thankfully, we did have our church friends and were able to get our kids together sometimes. All this to say I think you’re a great encouragement to moms everywhere, especially in sharing “daily stuff”. I especially like that you share about a verse that spoke to you.
I love you girl, I'm a first time Mum to a 3 month old and totally feel you, I love being a Mum, nothing prepares for being a Mum and I thought I had an idea of what it would be like when I was pregnant but no I got the shock of my life for the newborn days but so rewarding. Love watching your vlogs. Keep up the great work. God bless❤
I love your content so much. I am a lot older than you and have no kids, but i love learning from your vlogs what you go through as a young mother. I work with families and I feel that your vlogs have made me more empathetic to some of the mum's I work with, so thank you
I love your videos so much. They give me life. I work full time as a teacher assistant in second grade and I have a two year old little boy and my step daughter that I’ve helped raise all her life, she is 5. Mommin’ is so hard but at the end of the day, it’s worth it. Thank you for sharing the real and raw. I needed to hear this. 🤍
Thank you for this, I needed it today!! In the thick of the newborn stage as a first time mom. Running on 3hrs of sleep today since my baby is in the sleep regression stage and wants to be held all the time.
Hi Emma! Thank you for your vlog and encouragement :)..You’re a great inspiration to me as a mom and a wife! We kept our toddler sleeping on his crib as much as possible, we transitioned him to a bed when his was about 3 yrs old (3 and a half, I believe). I was afraid to do the transition but at the end of the day it’s just a change and it needs to be done and accepted 🤪
I had a library bag as a kid that I painted so I did the same with my 2 year old son, let him paint all over a canvas bag and that's what we use when we go to the library! Such a fun mom memory haha!
My daughter started climbing out of the crib at 20 months. She was tall for her age so she made it look easy. After a couple nights of consistently doing it I had to go ahead and it her in toddler bed. I enjoy your content and you are a great mom! Thanks for sharing your faith and the Word.
My son climbed out of his crib at 2 years old. We put him in. A toddler bed that day and within a few days he was adjusted. Just make sure the room is baby proof (furniture mounted to walls, door knob covers, etc). I also found it helpful for have very minimal items in his room so there was less for him to get into.
Our eldest was about 3.5 when we moved her to her big girl bed. I was like you and didn’t want her out of her crib because we had a new baby. She actually started climbing out once or twice when she was 2 but we both (me and my husband) had a chat to her and said hey you cannot climb out of your bed because it’s not safe and you might fall and get hurt, you have to wait for mummy/daddy to come and get you out. And we just reminded her every other night or so and we got another year in the the crib! I also kept her in sleep sacks the whole time with a light blanket over the top cause so it was still like a bed set up.
My daughter started climbing out of her crib pretty much right at 2, and there was no stopping her. I tried for awhile to drag it out but she went into a toddler bed pretty shortly after.
My daughter was easy, we made a big deal around her toddler bed to hype it up and get her buy in. Similar with my middle son. They were both about 2.5-3. My daughter was after day time potty training son before. Now my youngest was the only one to climb out of the crib, before 2! So we transitioned him earlier. He still does not stay on his own, but that is something we a re working with. But with the other two, we got new bedding, picked out a place for the bed maybe got Bedtime tools like a new light or stuffed, and made it a big deal. If they have a cozy situation it makes the transition more enjoyable and successful. Way to go, Emma. You are a great mom, love your library bag!!!❤
My son started climbing out of his crib around 20 months. Right after I found out I was pregnant again 🤪 I got him a daybed I found on Facebook so I could pull the bottom mattress out in case he fell out! I didn’t want to get a toddler bed because I wanted to save a little bit in the long run. But I did end up getting a bumper for the side of his bed and it kept him from falling. But the added mattress made me feel better just in case 😂 he flops around like a fish at night.
My daughter (currently 22 months) started climbing out of her crib a few months ago. Thankfully we already had a toddler bed so we put it in her room before we moved her. We also baby proofed her room at the same time, put a few quiet toys and books in there, and gave her access to it. She still slept in her crib for maybe a week? Then we kept the crib in the room but did a few nights in the toddler bed! That worked great to keep us calm because we knew if she was having trouble with the bed we could just put her in the crib and we would all sleep well after that. She did GREAT! We have since taken the crib out and it’s been going well. She has started getting out of her bed at night, but not to play, she just goes and lays on the floor to sleep lol. From what I hear that’s pretty common. We put her back in bed while we are awake and we know she’s good and asleep. We always go to sleep with her in the bed but sometimes she wakes up on the floor 🤦♀️ we are still figuring that out 🤪 I hope this helps! Our girl has done great with it and I pray Jo will too ❤
I just discovered your channel and have been binge watching while recovering from having 4 teeth pulled. I looked through your whole LTK and didn’t see that checkered smily flower crew neck. Where is it from? I love it! 😍

Loved the motherhood chat at the end! It certainly is a privilege to be a mom 🥹

I look forward to watching these Sunday mornings before church! You and I like the same shade of coffee/creamer 😄.

Your content is adorable💖 A toddler bed is wonderful at two years old😊 Also they can have quiet time if they no longer nap as a toddler💖

Crib tent! Had to do that around 2years old. Wasn’t ready to transition to toddler bed. You are doing a great job:)

Ellie fan club 🎉. Haha. Thanks for the reminder to praise the Lord in everything we do in the mundane. Keep letting your light shine! 🕯️
I dread the day we move to a toddler bed! Especially since we are in the stalling before bed stage. 😅

My sweet 11 year old daughter Ashley would do a first full week of 6th grade vlog
Hello love ❤
My eldest was in a toddler bed by 1.5
My daughter started to sleep on a floor bed when she was 13 months old.
My 10 month old just got her first tooth, and I love this new snaggletooth version of her. But I’ll definitely miss the gummy bear smile!
I moved to toddler bed at 18 months
Nice Emma 😅🎉🎉😂❤
I wonder if the heat is harder for Ellie since her fur is black? Has her fur gotten any thicker recently maybe?
