They add the parry mechanic to the game that’s so awesome. I love how they combine Sekiro and Dynasty together as well as other games like Total war: Three kingdoms. It would be fun and challenging at the same time time.

dynasty warrior series come first than the game you mentioning, also for game like this its called musou games (referring to its japanese title, shin sangoku musou and also the special move and the engine they used back then called musou). Yeah i agree, this is perfect gameplay for modern musou game because back then its just button smashing and too simple.

This is one of those games that is going to be replayed over and over, trying out different weapons having different allies as your second officer different bodyguard tactics just to relax like i used to as a kid, not been this hyped for a dynasty warriors in years

True, more gore might make it more appealing, but making R-18 could actually hurt its reach. R-16 already limits the audience a bit, and pushing it to 18 would cut out even more potential players. From a marketing perspective, keeping it at 16 means it can still reach a wider audience, which is crucial, especially after the total bomb of Dynasty Warriors 9 and 9 Empires. They need all the players they can get to bounce back.

One of the factors that people might not want to try games like Dynasty Warriors would probably and can be because of this simple reason. It can be revolutionary depends on how they approach to add gore and add some other important things in the game to reach out to the more players around the world.
When i was 16 I played 3 for the first time on the psa back in 2004. 3,4 and 5 with the xtreme legends were great. This looks so freaking good, I cant wait!!
Shadow of War nemesis system is so unique and memorable for me. Wish it got introduce in this. Imagine that with souls game hardest difficulty setting.

I can’t believe they got it right this time! The demo completely blew me away. The combat feels much more polished, the characters have weights, the duel system has made a return, the soundtrack is phenomenal, and the enemies finally feel more substantial. I just finished SW5 and I can see this is a major step up from the previous entries in the series.
I like the idea of a actual single player driven story this time around.. Only a select few heros to choose from I think what people should see this as is more of a reimagined or a spin off type thing As opposed to dynasty warriors 10 And I must say Im actually looking forward to this

These games are great with friends. The player base never last longer than a month though so multilayer does it very fast which means it's a ghost town soon after release and then discounted heavily because the multilayer is most of the fun.
Excellent. Dynasty warriors haven't done something this interesting since DW5 extreme legends, which is still the best version of the game I've played thus far, specifically for it's engaging character creation mode involving 8 battles and interesting story choices and it's limitless survival mode, in which you could conquer provinces and capture characters to serve as allies.

I love Dynasty Warriors, as a hack and slash enthusiast it’s a staple in the genre. I grew up playing this at my friends house and competing to get the most kills. Huge Koei fan overall. I just wish they changed it up a bit. How would they do it without destroying the identity of Dynasty Warriors though, I’m not sure.
@@TakiGamesOfficial Most of the time they just cycle the feature and change the variation of the contents (like what game like FIFA did) but not to give a full feature on a single game so that the next title still can give a feature people asked for. In this one they are still doing the same thing by cyling out features but looks like they also implement new things and possibliy a new AI behaviour for the opponents.
I get the power fantasy but..I personally would love this game so much more if your were slightly less powerful so that your allied soldiers actually mattered and felt more like a real battle. Imagine actually having to push with your allies to take a gate instead of just jumping into the middle of 1k enemies pressing 3 buttons and they all fall over dead. That being said, congrats boys, the gameplay finally caught up to the cutscenes from dynasty warriors 3 and 4 as far as scale.
Go look at any game play from the demo and see what you say afterward. I would say this is the most you and an army against the enemy army Dynasty Warriors has felt in a long time.
Haven't played a Dynasty warriors since 5, played Berserk and the band of the hawk non stop, playing as Guts in this style of game was amazing, always hoped for Guts to return as a secret character in DW. But never felt the need to play the other DW cause imo Berserk is the best one. But maybe I'll give this a try, next gen DW. Looks good, i wonder if all the defeated enemies bodies will stay and not disappear.

I like the demo but I don't like not being able to change the attack buttons from X&Y to the right bumper and trigger... It rlly messed me up bc I've been playing not but souls games the last few months
TBH I was expecting character creation. Martial arts master with amnesia is the perfect excuse to let the player create whoever they want. For a moment I had some Dynasty Warriors Online nostalgia.
They finally got the 'character reveal' right .. instead of calling him Guan Yu right of the bat he's known as 'bearded guy' good job koei you finally did it!

If i'd be guessing this is probably before he met with liu bei and zhang fei as yellow turban have started way before their joined cause. Maybe as a hired mercenary or general of some sort.
@@ThePhiloSpheres This is actually correct historically. The yellow turbans were not always bad and Guan Yu and others did fight along side them before the rebellion. This is where this scene takes place, way before the 3 kingdoms as we know them even thought about forming.

The think is that, the original formula sales became worse and worse through the years, so now they made this game that is more or less presented as a spin off, but if it will do good it will become a reboot of the series (probably).
This looks like an entire new series with Origins 2 coming after this one. I love this new direction, if I want the old formula, I can easily boot up dw8 or 3-5 my favorites. This is fresh and regained my interest!

Problems with all DW games is the boss fights always feel no boring. Once you figure out the timing, they become so easy to ecploit.

You can actually do that. You can pick which officer to bring into battle as your companion and you can switch with them mid-battle.
