Cab drive from mainstation through my layout

- From the main train station take the parade route through the helix to the lower level. Here through the small junction station in the shadow station and the whole back again. On the return trip there were delays, as an unplanned train blocked the route.
Something swings over the switches as the camera dolly did not have the right wheelsets. Have fun watching.
Honestly, for like 2 minutes I had completely forgotten that its a toy setup...It actually looked so real.
Whoever did this, did an incredible job... hatts off to your hard work.

This reminds me that I also didn't tell you whether I have been to Europe or not or whether I live in India or not, but thanks to your bitter and abominate perception about Indians you speculated it. A very impressive layout, especially the size. It's nice to have such a long mainline, so that the trains can be run at prototypical speeds, and still take 11 minutes for the trip. It's also nice to see a functioning signalling system. I'm glad I watched it. Congratulations!

The entire control of the system is done by a PC. My control station consists of only one monitor workstation.

This is AMAZING!!!!! I remember about 30 years ago there was a warehouse in NEW JERSEY that had something similar to this and even incorporated slot cars to go with it. Don't know whatever happened to it but this brings back those memories.

In real life, the trains that are in the United Kingdom and Europe are absolutely stunning and quite beautiful as are (as demonstrated in this video) the models of those trains which I hope to be able to collect. I've started on my OO-gauge collection and next will be the rest of the gorgeous European models to buy beginning with the ICE train that I desperately want. As far as a national passenger rail line here in the United States, all that we have is the awful Amtrak also known as AmCrash and AmTrash and it's boring.
How large is your layout as it looks MASSIVE (good for you!) and is superbly done. At first I thought perhaps it was an HO-scale club as the layout is in my model railroading videos on my channel. This video was great fun to watch and your work and attention to detail is spectacular! I've just proudly subscribed!

Deine Anlage ist echt mega ;) Habe die letzen 2 Jahre meine kleine aber feine Anlage aus Ende der 90iger weitgehen zu Ende gebaut... In Zukunft solls aber noch größer werden =) Heute werden mal ein paar Loks mit Fahrern bestückt ^^

@@Suedbahnler nein nein, ich danke. Ich habe vor Jahren noch eine eigene Anlage gehabt und weiss was dass an Arbeit ist, die Kleingartenanlage hat mir sehr gefallen, das erinnert mich an eine Ecke in meiner Heimatstadt.

freut mich sehr von dir zu hören! Ja wenn man sich ältere Videos ansieht, dann merkt man schon die Fortschritte, auch wenn es nur langsam vorwärts geht. Zum Thema Anlagenfahrvideo habe ich ja dieses Frühjahr wieder eins eingestellt: ruclips.net/video/ylVfmVV_lqY/видео.html
Ist zwar nicht genau die gleiche Fahrt wie das von dir angesehene, aber doch recht aktuell.
Zum Arbeiten in Italien - bist sicher geflogen. Sonst könntest ja beim Heimweg nen kleinen Abstecher am Bodensee machen und bei mir mal vorbei schauen.

its really nice, great job. I was wondering if instead of a spiral it could be done with long graded straights around the edge of the room.
Thank you very much. Without a helix it would certainly be possible, but would take up a lot of space. The large helix is 40 cm high, with a 3% incline this is 12 m.

Ja das geht, allerdings muss dann die komplette Gleisanlage überspannen.

Warum gibt es nicht ein paar Signal Ampel zwischen "Blocks" ? Gist es keine "intermediate block signalling " in DeutschBahn ?
Es gibt schon einige Signale, aber noch nicht alle. Ca 70% des sichtbaren Bereiches sind fertig, im unsichtbaren Bereich verzichte ich ganz auf Signale.

Does the signal at 0:26 show different speeds or is it always an 8?
The display is an aperture, different values can be plugged in, but switching during operation is not possible.
Looks like the overhead wires are still in the process of being installed there! :)
