Was thinking exactly that. I've LOVED the bagpipes ever since i was a kid in the 70's and heard AC DC's it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock'n'roll. I really think its a usable sound in moderation.

I'm sure it's a fairly decent sized system, but not really a flex if you're into modular. You don't get into modular without realistically expecting to spend $3-20K over the lifetime of owning your system, unless maybe you have a very clear idea of what you want to do and modular is the only way to do it, and you have strong willpower to stay away from expansion. For someone into modular, the biggest enemy to your wallet is empty rack space. A Make Noise Shared System is $5K alone and it's smaller than a carry-on bag. A Buchla Music Easel is about the same price and about the same size.
... and making weird unconventional noises/music is really the point of modular, which this does a decent job of, though it's really not a replacement.
More a comment about the fact that he is getting sounds out of a fing Kazoo that I sometimes wish I could get out of my system. (Buying electric kazoo totally worth it, btw.)

Not gonna lie, I really want to try this and make some really unique 80's synth music. The metal zone actually helps with making a nice radio filter over the entire track.
I was thinking the same thing or maybe building one of those super simple three part theremins and using guitar pedals to change the tone.

I love this kind of stuff. I'm not even that good at making music but I truly love experimenting with music. I found a shower room at a pool once that had really good reverb, so I just yelled in it for about 5 minutes when nobody was in there.
Too bad the pitch fork doesnt have a varying frequency oscillator, how light headed did you get?

I got one of these last year and then ordered about six more. We use them for horn parts and strings and all sorts of stuff. Mostly though, just weird background sounds. Fun stuff.

To complete the combo for the album: Washboard with ping delay. Banjo with overdrive/sustain. Jaw harp with massive reverb. Spring mattress action samples played in mixolydian. Ozarkian love hollers and cat mews for seasoning. Washtub bass with octaver. Oh, and a wah pedal for the kazoo. Ariana Grande sits in for *high* register kazoo fills.
