Great video and really useful tutorial thanks! I've recently bought a Canon AE-1 and the battery runs down extremely quickly. I've noticed that the light meter never turns off and believe this might be the cause, would you have any advice on how to fix this?

Thank you Dheera for the feedback!
Could I send two canon AE-1’s to you. I need the door and focusing mirror removed from one and placed in the other. How much would you charge?
Sorry, for now I just work on my one cameras...
What would you do if the rod was stuck? Mine won’t budge
A drop of lighter fluid and strong pliers... Try to rotate the rod as you pull...
I JUST watched a RUclips video where he changed the door WITHOUT taking any parts off the camera..........
Where can I get a Battery Door Replacement online?
Try in eBay...
